What is this project?
Yu-Gi-Oh! the AudioManga is a series of audiobooks meant to coincide with the original work by Kazuki Takahashi. This would be treated as a professional audio production, much like a radio play or audio drama.
What is Yu-Gi-Oh?
Yu-Gi-Oh! tells the tale of Yugi Muto, a timid young boy who loves all sorts of games, but is often the subject of bullying. One day, he solves an ancient puzzle known as the Millennium Puzzle, causing his body to play host to a mysterious spirit with the personality of a gambler. From that moment onwards, whenever Yugi or one of his friends is threatened by those with darkness in their hearts, this other spirit shows himself and challenges them to dangerous Shadow Games which reveal the true nature of someone's heart, the losers of these contests often being subjected to a dark punishment called a Penalty Game. Whether it be cards, dice, or role-playing board games, he will take on challenges from anyone, anywhere.
Why an AudioManga?
While most literary works receive the audiobook treatment, comic books and manga are usually left in the dust. I want to bring life to the original pages and provide people with a way to re-experience the classic stories.
Where are these being released?
On YouTube! Currently, we have the first 33 chapters completed and online!
How will payment be handled?
The payment rate is 1-2 dollars on a single speech bubble (depends on the type; talking, screaming, etc.) Note: some speech bubbles can have either between a single word, or two short sentences.

Ryo Bakura is a new transfer student to Domino High School. He quickly befriends Yugi's group and plays games with them. However, he's hiding a dark secret that will cause him much despair. He has a much more reserved and calm appearance and is the affection of many girls in the school. (If you choose to audition for this role, you will also need to audition for Yami Bakura; as they are meant to be two sides of the same character!)
(Inquisitive, calm demeanor) I especially like board games and tabletop games! My favorite is a game called Monster World. Have you heard of it?
(Insecure, hiding a secret, regret) People who played games with me would lose consciousness. They're STILL in a coma in the hospital...
(Frightened, fighting himself) WHO ARE YOU?! Wh-WHAT IS THIS VOICE IN MY HEAD?!!
Yami Bakura is the dark half to Ryo Bakura. Unlike Ryo, Yami Bakura is malicious, maniacal, knows he's evil (and Loving it!) All he desires is the 7 Millennium Items and unlocking the secret of the Pharoah's Power. He is a force of pure evil and has no regrets in his actions.
Like Yugi, he's a huge fan of games! If you have experience as Dungeon Master in Dungeons and Dragons, or any tabletop RPG, this will be handy to have! Not necessary, but be nice to know!
(If you choose to audition for this role, you will also need to audition for Ryo Bakura; as they are meant to be two sides of the same character!)
(Malicious intent) How will you save your friends when you're about to die yourself?!
(Threatening with superiority) Every game has an end! It's just a question of who the victor will be! And who's life will be sent to oblivion!
(Ready to murder, reveling in your evil nature) Your life is now forfeit! On my next turn, you will all die and I'll be sure to enjoy EVERY MOMENT!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!
Anzu is a childhood best friend of Yugi Muto and often accompanies him on his adventures. She is interested in dancing and wants to study abroad after leaving school. At the beginning of the series, she develops a crush on Dark Yugi and becomes obsessed with finding out his identity, having been saved by him while she was blindfolded.
She's optimistic and kind while also having a bit of sass. Mostly towards Jonouchi.
For voice, I'm looking for a similar charm for a cute girl that doesn't mind stating her opinion. Has a kind tone, but also has her own limits.
(Swooned; Mental Line) I'll never forget that voice, "Let's play a game..." After all, I have fallen in love with its owner.
(Standing up for a Friend; Building up Anger) Who cares what you think, Kaiba. What do you know anyway? You don't know what Jonouchi (Joe-No-Chi) has to deal with! You don't know what he's fighting so hard for!
(Cheerfully Instilling Confidence in Friends) Even after we graduate and go our separate ways, if we're ever alone... we just have to think of this smiley face.. and we'll remember being here, and being friends!
The main rival of Yugi throughout the series.
Kaiba is arrogant, prideful, egotistical, and believes he is number 1! He starts as a recurring bad guy but becomes part of the ensemble cast later on.
Be forewarned: This is a long term commitment character!
For the voice, he's normally depicted with a slight rasp, but an over the top demeanor. So really have fun with this one!
(Argent) You could never win against my deck. It'd be pointless to play against you.
(Excitement) I summon... my BLUE-EYES WHITE DRAGON!!!
(Desperation) Old man! If you give that Blue-Eyes White Dragon... I'll trade you all of these cards!!
Honda is one of Jonouchi's friends and a bully to Yugi at first. Like Jonouchi early on, he likes to get into fights with other gangs and can hold his own very well. As time goes on, Honda grows from being a delinquent to a good friend of Yugi and Jonouchi.
This one is a major commitment, as Honda is part of the regular cast.
(Apathetic) No one will forget the guy who risked his life for a pair of shoes!
(Lovestruck/Concerned) B-But... hold on... What should I write...? I... I've never written a love letter... What should I do...?!
(Confiding) I would get so wound up... I just needed to pick a fight... It didn't matter who... Then I'd realize, the person I really wanted to hit... was me...
A mysterious man who casts judgment on those that disturb the pharaoh's tomb using his millennium items. Shadi travels to keep the piece and ensure that the Pharoah will find his lost memories.
Shadi appears frequently throughout the story.
(Apathetic) My bloodline has guarded the tombs for 3,000 years. I am a servant of Anubis.
(Challenging) Yugi! When you show the weakness of the heart... the Ushebti (U-Sh-Ebb-Tee) will answer that weakness and break, one by one!!
(Special Ability/Calm) Marionette Design!
Hanasaki is a student at Domino High and an acquaintance of Yugi. He's a shy and timid boy that is an outcast at school. When Yugi and company get to know him, they find out that he's a huge fan of American comic books and superheroes. His favorite being Zombire! (Zombie + Vampire = Zombire)
This one appears in several chapters.
(Timid) It'd really help if you could buy one... The truth is I have five tickets and I can't even sell one...
(Firey Passion) The more he turns good, the more the face hidden behind the mask rots away like a zombie. That's why he's the greatest hero ever! They call him... Zombre!!! (Zom-buyer)
(Sorrow) I'm the one who should apologize... Y-Yugi... I'm being punished for trying to sell that ticket to you... I'm really sorry...
An escaped prisoner from Domino City Jail. He's known for his insane luck and will kill anyone without a second thought.
Voice wise, I was looking for something with a bit of rasp.
(Sadistic) My horoscope said the stars are on my side today. Anything I do will go well...
(Threatening/In Control) First off, give me some booze! Then cigarettes! Lucky Stripes! The perfect brand for a lucky guy like me!! HA HA HA!!
(Sadistic/Overconfident) Okay, the last thing you can do is use your thumb to light my cigarette... I'll kill you after that!
A student at Domino High who claims to have psychic powers. While his powers are fake, he will trick people for his own personal gain.
For his voice, he's all about showmanship, while also sounding like a nerd.
(Mystical) Ahh... All becomes clear! As long as you don't die, you will continue to live! Heed my words!
(Threatening Fortune) I can see! I can see! I see your future! Countless letters will fall from the heavens and bring disaster upon you!!
(Insanity) BWA HA HA HA HA! You see it, don't you? Do you see the bottle floating in the air?!
Goro is a senior student from Domino high. He and his Grill Brigade are all about making traditional Japanese food and will demolish anything in their way.
He looks much older than most of his classmates, so he should have a much deeper voice.
(Demanding) Listen up, underclassman! This is where we traditionally make okonomiyaki (Oh-Koh-No-Me-Ya-Key) each year!
(Over-confident) Heh heh... It's beneath me to play games with a kid like you. But I've never backed down from a challenge... and I've always won!
(Landing the finishing blow) I've saved the best for last! POWER RETURN!
He's the owner of his own shoe store, the seller of high-quality footwear like the Air Muscles. He hires his Muscle Hunters to beat up and return any of the shoes that he sells.
He's very sly and tries to get his way sneaky tactics and deceit those foolish enough to talk with him
(Creepy) This scorpion is more than a mascot... It's a real one with real poison!
(Warning) Some gang is calling themselves Muscle Hunters is going around stealing rare shoes.
Hirutani is the boss of one of the biggest gangs in all of Domino City. He has a grudge against Jonouchi for leaving the gang.
He takes no nonsense from anyone and will kill if he desires.
(Stern) I am the boss. You'll always be second in command.
(In-charge) Heh Heh... Jonouchi (Jo-No-Chi), I'm glad you're finally getting the old look back in your eyes... Too bad for you that it's aimed at us.
Kanekura is the curator of Domino City Museum. He exhibited the Millennium Puzzle thereafter Yugi lent it to him for one day.
He is a greedy individual who cares much about money and his own life, but little for anything else, and was willing to lie to others to get what he wanted.
(Relaxed) And now I can make some money on the Millennium Puzzle. Luck is with me!
(Defensive) You're from the Egyptian government! I don't sell antiquities on the black market!
Kujirada is a deranged classmate of Yugi's at Domino High School. He causes trouble with his aggressive Digital Pet. He later gets hypnotized by his own digital pet to eat everyone else's pets.
(Argent) According to my secret info, the hidden characters always have a star in their graphics... Take a good look!
(Insane) Rejoice! You will become part of the ultimate pet! Ahuh-Ahuh-huh-huh!
