Project Overview
Welcome to the Yakuza Kiwami Fandub Project!
Greetings! Are you a fan of the Yakuza series? Are you willing to throw in your voice to act out as one or more characters from the game itself? Well, we have awesome news for you! As the title clearly explains, we aim to overhaul and rewrite the entire script of Yakuza (PS2)'s English dub, and replace the entirety of the original English voices with new talent from VAs like you! Audition requirements:
Before lending over your awesome voices, please do check over the requirements for all submissions down below. Every VA wanting to participate in the project must do the following:
- Must have a good microphone setup to give off clean audio - no headsets, really cheap microphones, or any microphone that gives off a lot of background noise.
- Rehearse the same lines twice per selected role(s).
- Must be committed to fulfilling all the lines on time for the selected role if chosen by the project team.
- Must record and export recorded lines in MONO instead of STEREO, either in MP3 or WAV.
- Must try to lip-sync the lines of what is shown in-game. It doesn't have to be entirely on-point, just as long as it doesn't look or sound out of place.
We don't have a set deadline for our project, but we will continue to work on it just as long as we get those amazing voices in! We will keep you all updated throughout the coming months about the status of our project.

There are two characters to fill in.
Rina - Young Adult, Rina is a young, easy going gal, who isn't afraid to tell you how it is. she's honest, to a fault.
Yui - Adult, Yui is a very independent, and mature woman. She's cheerful and positive and super fun to hang out.

[(Reading for Rina Rukawa) The patron is talking to you about your reason for being a hostess, and you're going to answer with enthusiasm.]
Yeah! I love girls. <3 And Everywhere you look around here, it's cute girls, cute girls, and even more cute girls! It's heaven! /
[The patron is giving life advice.] You're right! Kiryu, you've got so much good advice. (determined) Alright, so when i make some money, I'm gonna make sure i spend it! (pleading) And if i go broke, you'll help me out, right?[(Reading for Yui Hatano) The patron is telling you about how he was in prison.] (disbelief) No way. seriously...? / (Surpise) Whaaaat? So? Tell me! What did you do!? / But you're the one who brought it up. I thought you wanted me to ask.
[You're talking to the patron about other patrons orders] That's true, but... sometimes the more they order, the messier it gets. / Well, customers who order expensive drinks expect more from me. I'm fine with going out with guys after hours, but they always want more.
Punks that are easy to anger, and have a lot of attitude.
