Wait. You might be just what we're looking for. You look like you're capable in combat. How would you like to join a dangerous top secret mission? {mysteriously}
We don't know everything, but... evidence suggests they broke through to an undiscovered section of the Wynn province. There, they found... something. Some other force makes its home in that place. The few reports we could find refer to it only as the Silent Expanse. {solemnly, seriously}
Uhhh... I'm not feeling really wel-... Aahhh! Aaahhh! My liver! It took my liver! {sickly, then screaming in pain}
A pirate trying to join Redbeard's crew.
- english
- female adult
Cor lad...ye don' look like a pirate ta me, and I be but a young lass! {skeptical}
What? Another clue! This be just a wild grook hunt, where be the real booty?! No one ever got rich off a heap o' keys!! Maybe this 'ere jewel attached will sell... {annoyed}
Arright! This key... We might be able to bring Redbeard 'imself back to life... He'll strike terror in the seas again, and we will be 'is crew! {excited}
An unintelligent monster similar to an orc with an extreme appetite. The g in Gert is pronounced with a hard G, like "grr"
- english
- creature
Hey! Why are you at the orange gourd farm so late? {angrily}
You are not a gert! You are a new folk! Gerts want to eat all the time! {angrily}
This is gert land only. And, well... a gert needs to eat. {hungrily}
An old lady who lives in Eltom
- english
- female senior
Ah, detective! What brings you to the sweet Lumilda's Bakery? {curiously}
He's been here a few times, usually writing things on a piece of paper. That man's a real mystery. No one even knows where he lives. {explaining}
One time my grandson couldn't resist and followed the man. Last thing he saw was the man leaving through the Eastern Exit. Ain't that a place to start, sweetheart? {cheerfully}
A caring female spirit who loves cats. She should sound a bit high-pitched and excitable.
- english
- female adult
Greetings! Thank goodness, that dreary old tomb was simply awful. No furniture, no natural light, not even a lick of paint! So drab, the whole thing. (explaining, pompously)
Could you feed my cat for me? I know Mrs. Fluffles must be so lonely after all these years. My old house is just south of here, just pop some food down for her? Thank you! (explaining)
W-wait, Mrs. Fluffles... She was...d-dead? No... It can't be! I left her a lifetime supply of food! You! You killed Mrs. Fluffles, it's the only explanation!! HOW COULD YOU DO SUCH A THING?! (shocked, confused, angry)
She is very rational and doesn't really believe in supernatural things. She is skeptical about all the mysteries that Prentiss and Todd talk about and believe that everything has a totally natural explanation.
- english
- female child
I don't know, you guys, all these rumours seem a little far-fetched. What next? Will he suddenly turn out to be some mad scientist? {sceptical, trying to sound sensible}
Hey, a stranger! How long have you been listening to us? Didn't your mom teach you any manners? {alerted, upset}
Oh fine... whatever you say, Prentiss. I'm sure they'll bring you on some wacky adventures next time around! {annoyed}
The unfortunate customer who was sold the pink pelulite and lost control of her body.
- english
- female adult
Ah, um, come back later please! Something strange is happening! {urgent/hurried}
My body is a bit, um, not-in-my-control right now! I'd rather not hurt anyone! {unsure, stressed}
- english
Ah, good, more of you small-noses are here to fight. {Authoritive, with a condescending attitude badly disguised as stoical pragmatism}
You're good for battle, so the government can focus more on the real issues. {Still authoritive and condescending, putting emphasis on the 'real' issues}
Can't afford to have all our resources on war when we have the Decay to deal with up north. {Trying to justify their snobbish attitude, while still sounding condescending and annoyed}
An employee of the silverbull company.
- english
Hi there, just reading up on the rulebook for those lootruns!
There seems to be a lot of variety, really makes them more complicated then they seem.
Y'know I've heard so much about people changing their lives after joining the company. As soon as I got the opportunity there was no way I could pass it up!
An employee of the Silverbull company.
- english
Hey! You joined the Lootrun Division!
I joined a few weeks ago, and I'm already richer than I ever was before!
Now I'm working in the Headquarters! This place is huge!
An employee of the Silverbull Company.
- english
I'm reading all about Lootrunning, there's a whole lot to learn!
For example, did you know that enemies get stronger for every challenge you complete? That's why it's often best to grab Boons at the start of a run!
For example, did you know that you can only encounter one White Beacon per run? They're pretty rare, so grab them on sight!
An employee of the Silverbull company.
- english
Pfft, if you think I'm being rude, you're clearly quite sheltered.
If you must know the intent behind my disdain, perhaps I should inform you that I am a LOOTRUN SENTINEL! Perhaps you should hold a bit more respect for your seniors, rookie.
I'm afraid if I were to explain it to you, it'd go right over your head. So I won't even bother. All you must know is I am doing some very important work that doesn't concern you, so please stop distracting me.
An employee of the Silverbull company.
- english
Sorry! Coming through!! I am late to my meeting!!!
Oh wait, the meeting is next week.
An employee of the Silverbull company.
- english
- male adult
Hi! Welcome to the Silverbull Headquarters! How can I help? Which beacon do you wanna hear about?
Oh boy, Dark Grey Beacons are a real nightmare. Think of them like Purple Beacons, but more extreme. If you're up for a real challenge, there's much more loot for you! Personally, I think I'll pass on these...
Ooh, this one is special. A Rainbow Beacon will cause every beacon after it to be Vibrant! A must-get, obviously. Though you won't have the chance very often! I've never even seen one myself!
A dwarf who lives in Thanos.

'Ello there me 'ol chum! See this beast 'ere? Ain't an easy catch. 'Colossus' Spawn' is what we call 'im.
Quite the mystery, they are. For a while no one knew where they were comin' from, 'til a couple of our lads saw somethin' at the Colossus' Statue.
Y'see, the statue is all crumblin', and one o' the shards that fell down just turned into a big ol' golem like this one.
A dwarf who lives in Thanos.
- english
Hail, human of Wynn! How are you liking the grand Dwarven citadel? I bet you're curious about the doorway behind me, eh?
Well, this leads to our sister city in the Molten Heights, Rodoroc! I'd recommend you take it, but it's under construction right now, and I think they're busy preparing for a festival out there, so it may be awhile before you can use this.
This'll be a convenience to both you and us Dwarves; we won't have to traipse through the whole Canyon of the Lost to get to Rodoroc anymore!
A dwarf who lives in Thanos.
- english
Bet you've never seen a bazaar this size before, human! This is the biggest Dwarven market in the province!
And then there's the barterers. Who knows what in blazes those nutcases want to trade! I'd steer clear of them if I were you.
I'll bet the other shopkeeps saw that masterful trading from you, as well. They'll probably open up their stock a bit more for you now!
A dwarf in Thanos.
- english
All sorts of thieving types love to skulk around the Canyon here. None of them ever mess with us Dwarves, though! They know better!
Though, I hear some gang of ne'er-do-wells from Wynn have been burglarizing around here. I wonder if they'll dare to try us on for size!
A villager who lives in Thesead.
- english
Whoa! What the heck happened? An airship just fell out of the sky while I was out of town for a few hours!
I ought to write a letter to Air Gavel complaining about this.
That could have destroyed my house, and then I could've suffered a fate worse than death: being poor!
A villager who lives in Thesead.
- english
One day, while I was elsewhere in the canyon, I saw the most peculiar thing. It was a creature that was half-man, and half-beast. It was outside of a large cave, but I didn't dare get any closer.
Did you see that airship crash into the fountain? How did that happen?
I'm actually very relieved. I always hated that fountain, it was so weird.
A villager who lives in Thesead.
- english
This grand city was built purely from the profits made from our coal. But it's a shame that those profits fund the city instead of its residents...
I've heard the mines were just shut down because of a cataclysmic earthquake. Man... I really hope that issue gets resolved soon.
Without Thesead's coal industry, I doubt the city will last for much longer.
A villager who lives in Thesead. Thesead is pronounced "thee-see-add"
- english
If you follow the path out of Thesead to the northeast, you'll find the Molten Heights, a dangerous volcanic land.
That area is infamous due to a war that took place between the Dwarves and Doguns.
A child who lives in Thesead. Yearns for the mi- I mean, alcohol.
- english

I'm absolutely fuming right now!
They said they can't allow miners in here, yet I'm a registered junior miner!
Do they hate kids, or something? I wanna drink too!
A dwarf who lives in Rodoroc.
- english
I can't wait to go to the annual Dogun festival. I've never seen an entombing before.
I think it's important to celebrate our people's history.
A dwarf who lives in Rodoroc.
- english
Have you heard about the Dwarven War? It is quite the tale.
However, such a story is very long. Perhaps one day you'll find the time to learn all about it...
A dwarf who lives in Rodoroc.
- english
At the opposite end of the Molten Heights lies an area that has been frozen over. It's crawling with Ice Drakes now.
Just nearby lies the skeleton of a great beast. Ahh, war memories.
A dwarf who lives in Rodoroc.
- english
One time, I found a secret entrance to the top layer of the heights. It's like an entirely different world up there.
However, I was forced to get back to safety when I ran into several hellkites at the northwestern end.
An impoverished dwarf who lives in the Rodoroc slums.
- english
- male adult
Are you lost? Why would anyone ever come down here?
Oh, you are friends with Axelus...? He's helped us through some rough times.
The Rodoroc state left us down here to starve...but honestly, we're lucky.
An impoverished dwarf who lives in the Rodoroc slums.
- english
- male adult
We don't care whether you're Dogun or Dwarf or Human or anything.
We just want to not be treated like vermin. Maybe we have something in common with the Doguns.
An impoverished dwarf who lives in the Rodoroc slums.
- english
A fire starter? Yeah, I think I left one on the roof.
If you can get up there you can help yourself to it.
I wasted a lot of money on that thing. Turns out lava does the same job.
A dwarf who lives in Maex.
- english
Maex is very different from Rodoroc. We don't have the King's guard overlooking us.
We're able to live a more liberal existence from our neighbours.
I saw some Rodoroc soldiers come by earlier. I hope there's not another conflict on the horizon...
A soldier who is working to keep Kandon Beda safe.
- english
Hm. Might I ask what business you have here, adventurer?
This place is off limits to civilians. I would suggest you leave. Don't bother the general with your presence.
A gossipy citizen of Ahmsord. Siegfried is pronounced "Seeg-freed"
- english
I heard from my friend's mother's hairdresser about how Siegfried saved Llevigar!
But then salvation came, as Siegfried rode in on his mighty steed. He slew the army of beasts with ease.
That story sounds amazing, Siegfried must be as legendary as they say. I wish I could have been there to see it.
A villager who lives in Ahmsord.
- english
What looks like a village to the south-east is actually something more. It's a base filled with sky pirates!
I hope someone deals with them some day. They could come in here and steal all of my money!
A villager who lives in Ahmsord. Wybel rhymes with nibble
- english
Do you know about Wybels, those cute little fluffy creatures?
They just... appeared one day, and now a lot of people have them as pets, myself included!
There's an entire island filled with wild Wybels on the lower level of the skylands. It's rather tricky to get to, though.
A villager who lives in Ahmsord. Siegfried is pronounced "Seeg-freed"
- english
One day, on what seemed to be a peaceful day, a dragon came and attacked our city of Ahmsord!
The dragon spewed fireballs everywhere, but Siegfried blocked them all with his sword. All except one, which landed right here.
Truly, Siegfried is the greatest hero to ever live. Sadly, I didn't see it. But it was all in his book!
A villager who operates the void crane.
- english
- male adult
Hmm. Hello there adventurer. I'm trying to fix this crane... The crane goes all the way down to the dark islands under Ahmsord.
Please don't disturb me now, it will soon be fixed, hopefully...
I remember you! Guess what? I finally got the crane working! Just jump on and I'll take you right down to the void.
A young child who is obsessed with Siegfried. Siegfried is pronounced "Seeg-freed"
- english
- child
When I grow up, I'm gonna be just like Siegfried! I'm gonna fight monsters and save the world!
Male. His brother has recently died and he wants to enlist the Player for assistance in getting the deed to his fortune. A decent guy who’s delaying his emotions, despite what you see on the surface.
- english
- male adult
My older brother had amassed quite some wealth before he passed. He should have left us part of it in his will, only I don't exactly trust Drucksh to handle it… {explaining, the logistics are easier to think about than the loss of life, so he is more direct}
Thanks again for doing this, pal. Just follow this road out of Detlas to get to Nemract, Drucksh's usually at the bar there. {genuine, helpful}
I thought I wouldn't live to see the day! Here I was, worried Drucksh wouldn't cooperate, but it seems like the two of you've got it all under control after all. {pleasantly surprised, with a mellowness}
Male. He asks for the Player’s help finding the will and his brother’s body. Has a stutter, sounds like an alcoholic. Slurs his words quite a bit. Perhaps fighting a pain we don’t see, much like his brother.
- english
- male adult
Ughhhhhh... W-what is it now? {scraping up the last bits of energy he can muster, very drunk}
Yeah, there ain't no will, pal. After my brother died, those Bovemists came and picked 'im up. {pessimistic and angry}
Now's our chance, pal! Go find my brother in the crypts! I-I'll stay behind, guarding the rear! {kind of excited even though he is obviously taking the easy way out}
Male. He attempts to obstruct the Player when they enter the catacombs to find Drucksh’s brother’s body. Stuck up and has a literal holier than thou attitude. Demands respect that might not be that earned.
- english
- male adult
- male senior
Yes, yes. A little more to the right! Hurry! {rushed, as though frantically waving}
Oh, it's you. For your information, the proper term of address is your excellency. {disappointed, annoyed}
As I've already told you a thousand times, I don't know what will you're talking about! Besides, I don't have the time for this! {fed up}
Single-line role, yelling about the arrival of undead. You won't need to recording anything else for the role.
- english
- male senior
Your excellency! Th-th-they've risen! {terrified}
Caid’s friend helping him out with the stolen goods, but immediately bails on him once the going gets tough. Soft-spoken and a bit of a pushover and that can be reflected in a SLIGHT vocal warble.
- english
- male adult
Sure thing. Say- Caid. How do you keep getting ahold of these things? There's expensive parts in these, and that seems a bit out of your price range. {suspicious}
Wait- what? Caid, please tell me you haven't been stealing from the guards. You know they won't- {surprise, then a growing sense of dread}
G-g-g-guards! Run!! {terror}
Royal Captain 1 calls Reynauld into their office and announces that he is being fired from the Fruman guard. They speak firmly, clearly, strictly and louder than other characters.
- english
You understand that those of us who serve Her Majesty in such well regarded positions have a certain... strict code of honour we must follow, yes? Otherwise, how could we be certain our ranks are pure of any misdeeds? We must set an example for the people of our great province. {almost parental, dragging it out}
Now, what do you think might happen if one of our own happened to... bend, or break that code of honour? What sort of a precedent would that set? {the shoe drops and their disappointment emerges}
It is with no great pleasure that I inform you that you, Reynauld, are to be stripped of your rank and arrested under charges of dishonour and conspiracy against Her Majesty. {firm, but not unsympathetic}
Royal Captain 2 chases Aledar into Tasim’s house. They speak firmly, clearly, strictly and louder than other characters. You won't need to record anything else for this character.
- english
Grr... He couldn't have gotten far. All of you, search the city! Leave no corner unturned! Don't let him get away! {an ordering bellow}
He's in here! And he has an accomplice! Arrest them both! {ordering}
Male. Single-line role. The guard is basically telling Tasim that it's his time to leave the cell (to see the Inquisitor, but Tasim doesn't know that). Voice has to be soldier-like and commanding. You won't need to record anything else for the role.
- english
- male adult
Tasim. It's your time. Follow me. {commanding}
Death lives in a strange realm where all souls go when they die. In the quest, the player meets him after being 'killed' by the monster Krolton. The player then must bargain with Death, and return to the living world. He is very talkative and strict about what happens in his castle, but also tired and existentially weary.
He cares greatly for the spirits under his watch and reveals a terrible sorrow that's sort of filled him up and left little space for anything else outside of a fleeting laugh. He understands and sympathizes with mortals and their worries in spite of knowing what must happen later.
Being Death himself, while he is not trying to be intentionally intimidating, mortals would naturally fear him. Try to use a voice that you think would fit that sort of vibe.
- english
- male adult
NOTHING IS STOPPING YOU FROM TAKING A LOOK AROUND. DON'T TOUCH ANYTHING THOUGH. AND TAKE OFF YOUR SHOES AS YOU ENTER. {like a stern father}
SOMETHING HAS GONE WRONG. IT WOULD SEEM YOUR SPARK HAS PERSISTED EVEN THROUGH THE VEIL... EVEN THOUGH SUCH A THING SHOULD BE IMPOSSIBLE. {not fully alarmed but not calm either}
AND THERE SHALL I DECLARE IT BE DONE. THE HORROR'S SPARK UNWOVEN... AND YOU, BODY, SOUL, SPARK, KNITTED BACK TOGETHER. A NEW PATCH FOR THE TAPESTRY OF YOUR LIFE. {poetic, with the spirit of having vanquished a great beast}
The Assistant requests the assistance of the player in altering a dangerous potion. He needs the player's help to gather the ingredients, so he can change it. He speaks as though he has trouble trying to find the words to say and drags out his sentences.
- english
- male adult
My master...wishes to create a very dangerous potion...a transformative elixir of invincibility... {worried, quiet}
I...have returned... He came back...just as I finished slipping the mushrooms in and...told me...to get out. {recounting what happened}
Now. I...do not want you saying anything about...these events. Take these, and...never speak of this again. {firmly}
