Writer Needed for YouTube videos on Political & Social Issues
Project Overview
This YouTube series takes the biggest political and social issues like abortion, immigration, gun control, censorship, and climate change and looks at them from every possible angle. Each episode starts by breaking down how different people see the issue. We go through every side, what they believe, why they believe it, and how those views make sense to them. After that, We look at how history, culture, economics, psychology, and even biology shape the way people form their opinions. Why can two people look at the same problem and see something completely different? What makes someone hold onto a belief so strongly? As we go further, the conversation naturally moves away from politics and into how humans think, what shapes us, and why it’s so hard to step outside our own perspective.
As we explore every possible angle of each topic and try to understand every perspective completely, the videos might end up being hours long. The biggest challenge will be keeping them entertaining and emotional and not just another history or philosophy lecture.
If you’ve written anything similar, please include samples so I can see your style. Writers who can stay open-minded are preferred, people who can explore ideas without trying to push their own views or fall into political bias. It’s important to be curious and not argumentative.
I’m also looking for a long-term writer for the channel, someone who wants to grow with the project and help shape its voice over time.
Bonus points if you have experience in:
Political science, sociology, philosophy, psychology, or journalism
Writing for YouTube essays, documentaries, or educational media
Scripts will be research-heavy and may take time.
When the channel gets monetized, the pay will shift to a percentage of the channel’s total earnings.
