Wind to the Flame (Minecraft Roleplay)
Project Overview
The land of Soven is filled with many knights and young squires who spend decades of their life training to protect the people. One young squire is struggling through her teen life as she deals with mastering the natural given abilities while the rest of the world takes them as an advantage in life. An advantage that Astrid would give up in a heart beat to take away all this unwanted stress in her life. Part of that stress is another young squire who is in a similar of age that has had a grudge against her since the day Astrid showed up at the castle. The two go to head with many times Marcus winning in the argument as he knew how to push her buttons really well that caused distractions for others. No matter that, or what others think, Astrid tries to keep Cristine's words close unsure who else she could believe then the one person she trusted most in the world.

Astrid is a young fiery tempered girl who only wants to do her best for everyone that relies on her. In these training years there are many things conflicting in her head as she struggles to contain the given abilities given to her as others resent her for this. Due to this Astrid is not always confident in herself and it usually takes the effort of her mentors to remind her that she is capable of things she is wants to do.

(unsure) Morning, Lance. Do you... do you guys need help with loading the ships?
(annoyed) I don't get it. I was just going as fast as you the whole time but you still beat me!
(defending herself/unsure) I wasn't slacking. Lance said that I deserve a break just like everyone else. I worked hard the past week.
Always a warm spirit towards Astrid who faces difficulties from everyone around her. Cristine never tries to raise her voice to Astrid and build her up through encouragement and positive reinforcement. That does not stop her from being stern and serious to those who try to interrupt the training process or believe they know the right way to help Astrid control her abilities. No matter what, at the end of the day Cristine will always put the well being of Astrid before the duty of the job.

(teaching moment/encouraging Astrid) I suggest you spend some more time in your studies rather than sparring this week, but you got stuck on how fast you should be going without considering the distance you had to travel.
(stern to her words/defending Astrid) I believe my exact words was that getting some in field experience could help hone her abilities.
(explaining her teaching methods/still a bit stern) Like you said I have a way of training Astrid to control her powers. Its already hard enough to redirect her heated emotions whenever she is over worked. I am not going to add unnecessary stress on top of it.
For most of his life he was always the best on the training field that got him much appreciation and acceptance by others but a lot of that went away when Astrid was brought in as Cristine's squire. The competitive nature quickly turned into jealousy and hatred for Astrid because Marcus believes she has an unfair advantage for life with the natural given abilities she has on her side. Now Marcus finds any way that he can to tear Astrid down so that it creates an "even" playing field for everyone else training to be a night. Sometimes not noticing how far he is going to do this where it could permanently hurt her.

(jealousy played off as hatred towards Astrid) You don’t have to lie to her when you were only worried about Cristine.
(upset/annoyed/trying to make Astrid feel bad) You could have helped us three hours ago with loading those crates but apparently you felt like slacking off today.
(lying/bullying Astrid) Who isn’t?! Lance and Arch just play nice because Liegh orders them to. I bet Cristine even gets frustrated with your constant campfires popping up all over the place.
Lance is one of the most friendly knights in the kingdom who tries to be someone that anyone can come to. His strong worth ethic along with being able to almost speak with anyone always for Lance to bring people together. The one group he can't seem to bring together is Marcus and Astrid. The more Lance tries to get Marcus to understand the situation the more it seems like Marcus starts to hate her. He doesn't want to give up on his young squire but at a certain point there is a call that needs to be made to protect the mental health of another.

(trying to make Astrid feel like she is contributing) But we could definitely use your help with packing up some of the crates. Nate is down by the dock house where he can show you what we are sending to our neighbors to the north.
(trying to get the message through to Marcus/a teaching moment) I know it may feel unfair at times but having those extra abilities also means they have extra responsibilities as well. Try to keep that in mind when making your little quips towards her.
(understanding Marcus' feelings towards Astrid) I have to go deal with a situation. Listen to my orders today and leave Astrid alone. If you rile her up again then- well, I don’t know what I will do but you aren’t going to like it!
