Lance is one of the most friendly knights in the kingdom who tries to be someone that anyone can come to. His strong worth ethic along with being able to almost speak with anyone always for Lance to bring people together. The one group he can't seem to bring together is Marcus and Astrid. The more Lance tries to get Marcus to understand the situation the more it seems like Marcus starts to hate her. He doesn't want to give up on his young squire but at a certain point there is a call that needs to be made to protect the mental health of another.

(trying to make Astrid feel like she is contributing) But we could definitely use your help with packing up some of the crates. Nate is down by the dock house where he can show you what we are sending to our neighbors to the north.
(trying to get the message through to Marcus/a teaching moment) I know it may feel unfair at times but having those extra abilities also means they have extra responsibilities as well. Try to keep that in mind when making your little quips towards her.
(understanding Marcus' feelings towards Astrid) I have to go deal with a situation. Listen to my orders today and leave Astrid alone. If you rile her up again then- well, I don’t know what I will do but you aren’t going to like it!
