Welcome to the Wadanohara and the Great Blue Sea Casting Call! WATGBS is a RPG-Maker game by DeepSeaPrisoner/Mogeko. They're an amazing artist and story-teller, and they've very kindly allowed us to do this project; Check their website out if you'd like: http://funamusea.com/
The story is about a young sea witch, Wadanohara, and her familiars, returning to the deep blue sea from a long journey; however, the Sea Kingdom has been attacked by an unknown enemy. It's now up to Wadanohara to fix the magical barriers protecting the kingdom destroyed by this enemy, but fixing them is the last of her worries...
Warning: This game contains content some viewers may find disturbing and or uncomfortable, so please be aware of this before auditioning.
Rules:
1. Have a decent microphone. It doesn't have to be perfect, all it needs is little background noise.
2. Respect other actors. Please do not harass/belittle others.
3. Have a discord account (Optional). Of course, it's not mandatory to have one, but it helps the directors of this project immensely.
4. Be 15 and above. This game, as mentioned before, has some very sensitive subjects that may not be suitable for most.
5. Stick to your roles if you can. If there's a family emergency, you are free to leave this project. Please do not audition if you know you won't have enough time.
6. Don't stress, have fun! This project isn't too serious, so it's mainly for fun. But, of course, there will be due dates for lines.
Wadanohara is the young witch protagonist of the game. She has an innocent and kind heart which is stated by several characters in the game, and always tries her best to be helpful for her friends and occasionally ends up doing some errands for them. She loves her friends and the sea to such an extent in which she doesn't mind being bound to it for the rest of her life, which is the reason why she burdens herself with more responsibility than she can actually handle.
(Happy) Hello. My name is Wadanohara. I'm a witch! Right now, I'm traveling with my familiars to return to my home sea. Alright, better get moving. . .
(Scared/Worried) Don't. Samekichi. . . if you go there, you'll never come back. That world is filled with agony. . . It's a terrifying place!!! If you do that, even you'll. . .
(Improvise.)
Samekichi is a rowdy shark with a troubling past. He comes off as a rude antagonist type, and tells Wadanohara to leave the sea. However, once his true intentions of protecting her are revealed, he works with her and treats her with kindness, despite still having a cold, "tsundere" exterior at times.
(Anger) Wadanohara. . . You shouldn't be here. . . Leave this sea, right now.
(Grief) Wadanohara. . . What point is this sea. . . if you're not in it? What point is this world. . .
(Improvise.)
Fukami is a stoic octopus and one of Wadanohara's familiars. He is seen to be very calm and reserved and also can be seen as an aloof. Aside from his calm and aloof personality, he is very caring towards Wadanohara and is always willing to protect her, this is commonly shown by his constant suggesting for her to rest, and also he's very protective over her, even saying "don't hurt my master" and asking if she is okay.
(Calm) . . .Wadanohara. Is that really so important to you, even now? . . .He's a traitor. You know that too, don't you?
(Reassuring) . . .It's not your fault. . . . You did nothing wrong. You did well. . . . It's not your fault. . . .Wadanohara, he believed in you. . . .so please, don't stop believing in him, either
(Improvise.)
Memoca is a spirited young seagull. She is the most outspoken and energetic member of Wadanohara's familiars. Memoca always seems to be the one that wants to fight with everybody, as well as scream and annoy people. She also has a horrible habit of speaking her mind regardless of how appropriate it is. Going as far as to ridicule Princess Uomi
(Suprised) Wow! The sea is sooooo biig!!!
(Tease) Hey Dolph, did you know? If you wish on a shooting rainbow, your wish comes true! Go on, give it a try!
(Improvise.)
Dolphi is a shy dolphin and Wadanohara's youngest familiar. Despite being easy to scare, she is quite fearsome with a sword. Dolphi also tends to be fairly naive and impressionable. She tends to go along with whatever Memoca says, and is very quick to take a person's word as truth. As shown when Memoca talks about "shooting rainbows".
(Scared) Umm. . . There's. . . lotsa sharks over there. . . Sharks're. . . scary. . .
(Semi-Threatening) Scary shark. . . Buzzoff.
(Improvise.)
Nekoyama is the local postman. He has a bad habit of getting lost and tends to be a bit melodramatic, considering the time he was acting like he was dying, and the only thing to make him better would be a Star Fruit. He's also a slight romantic. When Samekichi asked for his help about Wadanohara, he very much enjoyed listening to Samekichi talk about her and reminiscing about his old romance.
(Teasing) Why the embarrassment? I've known you had a fondness for Wadanohara for aaaaages! In fact, I do believe everyone knows. Hohohoho!
(Questioning) I say, are those cigarettes truly so good?
(Improvise.)
Chlomaki is a spirited pitch-black witch who travels between worlds. She's an old friend of Wadanohara. Chlomaki, while friendly, can be somewhat bitter and aggressive, as seen when physically beating up her familiar Lobco. She is like a cat in a way, stating she doesn't like water. She seems to be a seasoned and powerful witch, hinting several times in the game she is older than she appears.
(Normal) Whew. . . finally caught up to you! Gosh, the sea's way too big. The sea surface is so dreary; I was getting bored on my broom
(Annoyed/Joking) Geez, what a nagging familiar you are. . . Maybe you should learn from Wadanohara's, yeah? Let's see. . . Um. . . a bird. . . an octopus, and a. . . shark?
(Improvise.)
Lobco is a young lobster with a flat sense of humor and she is one of Chlomaki's familiars and Aom's best friend. Lobco is shown to have a very polite demeanor of speaking to others and somewhat has a pessimistic personality, stating that everyone forgot about her and no one cares to remember. She dislikes leaving her home seeing as unlucky things befall her. She also hates pain, which Chlomaki gives her, most of the time
(Pained) Ow! Please don't hit me, Lady Chlomaki
(Scared/Nervous) N-no, lobster fry. . . please. . .
(Improvise.)
Plumo is a floaty barrel jellyfish that serves the court. She is kind to a fault, often leaving herself defenseless. Most of the time, she appears to have her head in the clouds, but, at a critical time, she is revealed to be very thoughtful.
(Welcoming) Welcoome~. Thoough we met yesterdaay~.
(In awe) Oooh~! You're soo lucky! I wish I could travel outside the sea too~!
(Improvise.)
A lazy mermaid who seems to be a friend to Wadanohara. She appears to be a talented singer, though she spends most of her time eating or sleeping. She'll often send Wadanohara on errands, as mermaids can't walk on land.
(Worried) Oh, when's my sister coming back?
(Teasing) Don't be a bad girl and go vanishing, will you, Wadanohara?
(Improvise.)
Aom is a cool-headed giant river prawn who lives in the Blue Sea Kingdom. She's Lobco's best friend and acts as mediator for most. Aom is always looking out for her friends and constantly worries about Lobco, hoping that her best friend is doing well on land
(Concerning) I worry for Lobco's safety. . .
(Calm) Well, you're really still a kid. . . so of course we worry. I meant in your heart; there are good aspects to that too, though
(Improvise.)
Tarako is a little octopus. They enjoys jazz, octokisses, and tight spaces, but hate scary dreams. They're technically an adult, but they still wets the bed.
(Greeting) Wadanohara! You're back! Was it okay? Did you get in any accidents on the trip? I was spitting a lot of ink while you weren't around!
(Teasing) Stupid Sardinekichi! You never learn!
(Improvise.)
A clumsy mermaid with a laidback personality. Seguro and Helica are often telling her off. However she looks up to both of them, calling them her "main squeeze" in the English version, and "senpai" in the original Japanese.
(Cheery/Greeting) Hey, sup Wadanohara! Have you seen my main squeeze anywhere, ya know, the not Seguro one?
(Panicked) Ah!! Wadanohara?! Bad news!! P-Pleeeease calm down. Ahhh! She's lost it from rage, dude!
(Improvise.)
Seguro is an ornery snake with a mile-long death glare. Despite his demeanor, he's awfully optimistic, and cares for his friends quite a bit.
(Annoyed) Have you found her yet? No? Ugh, that idiot. . . We gotta find her, and fast.
(Annoyed) Gah, swarms of them... Disgusting.
(Improvise.)
Minero is the light-hearted, adventurous flapjack octopus that keeps Deep Sea Town bright. She, along with her friends, loves to go treasure hunting. She is very outgoing and is confident in her intuition. Unfortunately, her intuition is very poor and she often gets the group lost or get them in trouble in some way.
(Convinced) The treasure had gotta be this way, I just know it! I saw something sparkle!
(Panicking) B-Bad!! Very bad!!! The guys! And. . . some weird guys! Weird guys!! Gggggggggg!!! Hurry, this way!!!
(Improvise.)
Creamil is a no-nonsense yeti crab living in Deep Sea Town. She seems to be friends with Minero, but they're always arguing. Creamil is perhaps the most 'normal' one of her group. All in all, she is a good person at heart and she cares for her friends
(Annoyed) Ugh, Minero's such a troublemaker.
(Absolute) See? Nothing good comes from listening to you, Minero!
(Improvise.)
Rimorimo is a blunt vampire squid who hates noises. Amusing her is about as easy as swallowing a whale. She appears to always have bored and uncaring look on her face, but doesn't mind Minero and Creamil's bantering.
(Questioning) Huh? Are rabbits sea creatures?
(Bored/Uncaring) ...Whatever.
(Improvise.)
Tomoshibi is a narcoleptic angler fish. She's normally seen with Minero and her group. Tomoshibi appears to be quiet, not having anything much to say of value or interest to the player during the game except occasional yawns, snores, and "....zzzzzz"s. She seems to share the same exasperation about Minero's occasional idiocy as Creamil and Rimorimo, agreeing with the two that it's her fault they never find any treasure

Cherryblod is the smoking-hot lobster, Lobco's doting father, and Doloz's loyal husband. He was a criminal in the past, but he left it all behind to be with his family.
(Calm)Hey honey, it's not like Wadanohara was playing around up on the surface. Say, why don't we take a vacation up there sometime soon?
(Mischeviously) 'Cherryblood'? Hehe... I haven't heard that name in ages, but I've let go of that past... Though... those times were very fun.
(Improvise.)
Doloz is the local beauty of the sea. She is loving and cheerful, being very maternal in personality. She cares a great deal for her beloved daughter, Lobco, and her devoted husband, Cherryblod. Doloz will often lend a helping claw to a neighbor in a bind.
(Cheery) Oh my... I wonder what dinner should be!
(Worried) Oh, Lobco... I hope you're doing okay up on the surface.
(Improvise.)
Helica is a childish sea snail with a strong sense of justice. She loyally serves the Blue Sea Kingdom, though she has a bit of a drinking problem.
(Demanding) None shall upset the morals of this sea!
(Enraged) Never forgive... Never... The ones who disturb our sea's moral fibers... All of them. . . All of them... WILL DIEEEeeeEEEeeeEEE!!!
(Improvise.)
A friendly(?) shark with a colorful personality. Sal appears to be cheerful and kind, letting Wadanohara ride on him while he swims sometimes and even gives her gifts.
(Cheery) Oh, Wadanohara! Good, I found you just in time! Oooooh, I like those clothes! There's something I wanna give you! It's a protective pearl ring, so you come back safe!
(Cheery) Hey, Wadanohara. Pretty moon, huh? Heh heh... You came quicker than I expected!
(Improvise.)
The stern ruler of the Blue Sea Kingdom. She spends a great deal of time asleep while Jiiya speaks on her behalf. She has a very kind and loving personality and shows great care to all of her citizens in the Sea Kingdom.
(Calm) Stop it.... I'm right here....Don't be so angry. I won't do anything.
(Apologetic) ... I'm sorry, Satsu... It's my fault. Because I didn't talk it out with you, Satsu... I'm truly sorry.
(Improvise.)
Jiiya is a snarky fish who serves Uomi. They often acts as her voice.
(Pleading/Requesting) The princess desires we avoid war as much as we can! This is the will of the princess. . . but also, Wadanohara, the will of your father. Please, restore the barriers at once!
(Loyally) Princess, I shall stay by your side till the very end. . .
(Improvise.)
Tatsumiya is an oarfish that has served the court since the time of the original Sea King. She is Wadanohara's foster mother and was Meikai's familiar. Tatsumiya speaks in an intelligent manner, and has been shown to be very caring. She cares deeply about Wadanohara due to the bond she shared with Wadanohara's father, and as such Tatsumiya frequently worries about Wadanohara's well-being. She is almost always calm, but there have been exceptions to this when she is faced with trouble.
(Grieving) Lord Meikai... Just where have you gone off to...? I... Did you simply vanish?
(Enraged) Silence! You... You served Lord Meikai, then went on to betray us! I'll. . . I'll never forgive you!!!
(Improvise.)
Idate, also known as Orca in-game, is a mysterious killer whale with a mean streak. he us rarely seen without a cigarette and tends to be very cruel and a bit sadistic, saying he "plays" with others as a term for beating up. He's also a bit derogatory, especially to sharks, calling them "stupid" and "just fish"
(Mysterious) My my. A shark, out here. . .? Me? I'm just an orca on a stroll. . .
(Masochistic) Ah, you know this shark? I had quite a bit of fun. Haven't bullied a shark in all too long. Well, you see, I have a hobby of bullying the weak.
(Improvise.)
Totsusa is the bratty Princess of Totsusa Kingdom on the Moon. Being the daughter of King Artamos, she is quite powerful and holds great influence, despite her childish behavior and homicidal tendencies. She was once good friends with Uomi of the Blue Sea Kingdom.
(Threatening) My boning knife can and will cut anything!
(Enraged) Shut up shut up SHUT UP! I'll kill you... I'LL SLAY ANYONE WHO DARES TO BELITTLE ME!!!
(Improvise.)
Artamos is the stern King of Totsusa Kingdom. He is actually rather friendly and calm, but he is extremely protective of his daughter. It is said he was transformed into a robot by a witch. Before this happened, his subjects claim he was the size of a mountain.
(Sad) I'm getting up there in years...
(Apologenic) S-Sorry... I'm outta battery. Guess I used too much energy on my walk...
(Improvise.)
Hofuru is a tanuki from another world who has sworn to serve Totsusa Kingdom. She is calm and analytical, proving to be quite a powerful opponent. She acts as a friend and adviser to Totsusahime.
(Earnest) Orders, Your Majesty?
(Threatening) I'll have you disappear, sea witch. Now. . .We battle!
(Improvise.)
Ver is a tomboyish demon who loves to fight. She's Wadanohara's friend, but she was hired by the Totsusa Kingdom as a mercenary alongside her allies, Vendetto and Laurentia. She is originally from the Flower World, acting as subordinate to the Devil, but she left for some unknown reason.
(Smug) Haven't you ever heard to bully the cute ones?
(Embarrassed) Hoo boy. So this is Wadanohara's sea... Oh, now I've done it. . . Should've given up
(Improvise.)
Vendetto is a bull-headed demon who acts as a mercenary. He's actually the son of Ivlis , the Devil of the Flame Underworld, and the older brother of Poemi. He has a bad temper and is overconfident to a fault, resulting in various accounts of self-sabotage.
(Agitated) I don't have a vendetta against nobody!
(Irritated) Ugh, sucks having such a stupid dad. He's the worst. Dumbass that never listens. . . I never wanna see that airhead again...
(Improvise.)
Laurentia is a foolhardy demon with a talent for needless violence. She craves excitement by any means, even if she must risk her life. This led her to work as a mercenary with her two friends, Ver and Vendetto. She might have more than a few screws loose.
(Remorseful) My apologies. Had I known you were a friend of Ver's, I would have been a little softer...
(Cheery/Mocking)My, that's not true. I love to talk, actually. But for now... I have to get in your way. Hehehe! Entertain me, won't you?
(Improvise.)
A great wizard who once protected the Sea. He is the father of Wadanohara and a dear friend to the slumbering Sea King. It is said that he gave his life to protect his home and loved ones from evil.
(Reassuring) Don't give up, Wadanohara. You still have things to do... Don't worry. I'll lend you my power.
(Sorrowful) ...My dear girl. Please, always remain who you are. Let nothing stain you, nothing take you away. ...That is all I ask of you.
*Improvise.*
A cynical young boy who died tragically in the ocean. He is generally displeased with the world and finds most things to be boring. Despite his antisocial nature and stoic tendencies, he has been shown to be quite bitter toward happy people and is somewhat of a defeatist.
(Scornful) *Sigh* Hate this... hate this... Everyone should just suffer.
(Perfunctory) ...I wonder if that shark's arrived already.
*Improvise.*
A vile bastard of a shark, with a rotten soul and silver tongue. Formerly serving as Meikai's familiar, he betrayed his master to aid Mikotsuhime. He is the father of Samekichi.
(Spiteful) Hahaha, that again? Either way... if I hadn't backstabbed him, even the Sorcerer wouldn't be no good.
(Agitated) What're you babbling? Shaddup, small fry. ...Don't you screw with me.
*Improvise.*
An obsessive ammonite with a lifelong grudge against Meikai. They have sadistic tendencies and a one-track mind, but they seem to have a very easygoing attitude. They seek to kill Wadanohara in place of Meikai, given that he has already passed on.
(Cheery) ...Mheehee~. At any rate... I'll make them into goopy messes. I've never stomached that Sorcerer for taking him... Now I can take out my grudge.
(Spiteful) I've always hated the Great Sorcerer, y'know... Enough to kill 'im... But 'course, mheehee... He's already dead, I hear? That's why... I'll hafta kill you instead...

A shy, fragile starfish, she is decidedly different from the rest of Mikotsuhime's servants. She is seemingly fond of Tsuribari, often following behind him.
(Regretful) ...It's useless.
(-To be added. Seriously, the girl says all of five words, and not even in the same sentence. Gonna dig deep.)

Due to Mikotsuhime being mute, her audition lines will be from the perspective of the skeletal fish in her hair.
(Elated) Hohoho, Princess, the outside at last. ... Hoh? His daughter? Your first time seeing her, isn't it, Princess?
(Spiteful) Hoho, it has been a long time, hasn't it, Jiiya?
