Voicing Harmony Recasts 2 (Danganronpa/My Hero Academia)

Project Overview

Welcome to Voicing Harmony! We're a comic fandubbing group on Youtube with 30k+ subscribers. We specialize in anime-esc franchises, particularly My Hero Academia and Danganronpa.

Unfortunately, one of our Voice Actors, Siri, has left us, and thus we need to fill in her roles!

REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be at least 14 years old
  • Must be able to record lines at least once per month
  • Must have a Discord that you can check at least once a week
  • Must have minimal/no background noise
  • 2-3 takes per line

Voice actors should have minimal to no background noise, free of any echo-y/reverb-esc effects. All lines provided are to be said at least once in each audition. No phone/headset mics will be accepted. USB/XLR microphones only. We ask that you submit raw or minimally-edited audio. (I.E. volume adjusting = OK, filtering/pitching = NO) Voice actors should also be prepared to meet a community of passion-driven people inspired to create!

There's no real need to imitate Siri's impressions unless you want to, and the same goes for the official voice actors. Just do whatever you think fits!

AUDITIONS FOR THIS PROJECT ARE CLOSED. NEW AUDITIONS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED UNLESS THEY ARE RETAKES OF PREVIOUS AUDITIONS.

  • Auditions Officially Closed!

    Hello everyone! We thank you all so much for auditioning. At this point in time, auditions are officially CLOSED. Any auditions made by new auditionees after the posting of this update will not be considered for the role(s). If you did, however, post before this update and feel you would like to take another shot at it, you may do so, provided casting has not been finalized. Unfortunately, at the end of the day, we can only pick one Angie and one Ochaco. We appreciate all of your auditions, even from those of you that we cannot cast. We wish you luck in all your further voice acting endeavors!

  • Auditioning Procedure

    Just a little tip, but, when auditioning, we'd like you to say *all* the lines given, not just one or two of them! The more you give, the more we have to judge! Feel free to add a little bit of your own style or improv as well, and good luck everyone!

Angie is the definition of a happy-go-lucky girl taken to the extreme. A foreigner from a far-off island, she is a devote follower of her island's God, Atua, and she will not hesitate to share her faith with others, even going so far as to threaten those who don't believe. Although she is a talented artist, she says the source of her talent is God, discounting her efforts as she believes herself to be a vessel for his divine works. Chipper to an alarming degree, there's hardly anything that can dampen her mood.

  • "I draw drawings and I sculpt sculptures. But Atua's the one who makes the art. I merely offer my body as His vessel. Nyahahaha! How divine!" (Angie's response when asked what kind of art she specializes in.)

  • "Life cannot always be fun and smiles... Atua must make difficult, even cruel, decisions. But, but! We must submit to Atua's will if we're to live a peaceful school life." (Angie's advice to her captive classmates regarding their situation.)

  • "Atua was touched by everyone's feelings, so He said we must all preserve the peace here! Nyahahaha! I'm so relieved! I'll work with everyone to make this academy a paradise!" (More advice to her classmates.)

Born to a lower-middle class family, Ochaco strives to be a hero in order to support herself financially. Even with her setbacks, Ochaco is a caring girl with a pure heart, and her kindness is what ultimately allowed Izuku, her best friend, to be accepted to the school she goes to: U.A. High. Her superpower (known as a "quirk" in-universe) is Zero Gravity, which allows her to make any object she touches float, provided she touches it will all five of her fingerpads.

  • “So I’m gonna be a hero. I’ll make that money… so that my mom and dad can have easier lives.” (A rare bit of seriousness as she explains her reason for heroism to her friends.)

  • "This is it...! Sorry, Iida! (E-duh) Improvised Special Move: Comet Home Run!" (Short of breath in the heat of an in-class training session, she apologizes to her friend before delivering a blow.)

  • "Ultimately, that's the plan, but I've been thinking ever since the festival...the stronger I am, the more possibilities I'll have!" (Having some friendly banter with her classmates regarding the recently held Sports Festival.)
