URGENT -- Final Fantasy VIII Fandub - Irvine Recast

Project Overview

This is an urgent casting call for our Final Fantasy VIII Fandub!

We are a team who is currently dubbing the 1998 game Final Fantasy VIII, and we are looking to recast the role of Irvine Kinneas. The project has been going for a year now and we have released 16 episodes, with Episode 17 expected to come this month. If you wish to audition, there are some things you must understand before doing so:


1) We need a VA whom is committed to the role; one whom will accept it, if given the role, and remain the VA until the project ends. If you do not think you can remain on the project for an extended period of time, please consider this notion before auditioning.


2) You will need a Discord account for easy access to talk and get lines in. You will be asked for this upon being cast.


3) You must be punctual. Getting lines turned in on time is absolutely necessary. It is okay to miss an occasional deadline, but please do not exceed the maximum recording time of 17 days that you are given . This is provided to every VA currently on the project. It allows plenty of time for everyone to record without delaying each episode and cutting into time we could be working on the next one.

Irvine is 17-years-old and a consumate "ladies man". Unlike the other main characters, he wears cowboy attire and uses various rifles as his weapon of choice. He is proud of his skills as a sharpshooter and is constantly hitting on every girl he sees.



Voice: Low/medium; calm, confident, and a bit flirtatious
