(URGENT CASTING) Animal Kingdom PILOT + Extras
Project Overview
Hello! This is a follow up to a previous casting call for an 2 part pilot of an original series I am working on.
Most of the important roles were casted by the deadline but not all the roles have been tried out for and I'm still in need of. In case the last casting call was buried, this is to bring specific attention to these roles and get them filled. I will be reposting the same information as before here as well.
What is it about?
This series takes place in alternate reality where a society is run by anthropomorphic animals years upon years after Human Kind has disappeared off the maps. The Animal Kingdom itself is a union representing harmony between all creatures, though there are those who desire to threaten it; fortunately, there are defenders seeking to protect it; Lune (An Emperor Penguin) Alex (An Toque Macaque Monkey) Dexter (An Red Panda) Neige (An Arctic Fox) and Barbara (An Cat), these five fight along with the assistance of Lune's guardian, Eria (Snowy Owl) keep Animal Kingdom safe all while dealing with troubles in their own lives.
This series will be taking the form of an audio drama, with artwork and the actor's performances telling the story.
As an mature content warning, this series will deal with subject matters such as:
Vulgar languages/jokes (No slurs, won’t be worse than F bombs on occasion)
Violence + blood
Mental illnesses (Such as depression, trauma, anxiety, su*cide, etc)
Dysfunction/Abuse
On/Off-Screen Death/Murder
This series is LGBTIA+ positive; the main character is bi for example and falls in love with another boy over the course of the series.
Before auditioning:
- Casting will be selected by the end of the deadline.
- AAABBBCCC takes are required for auditions, I ask there'd be about 2-4 takes for each line. This will be carried over to the series proper if you are casted.
- Good mic, little to no background noise, I will not accept phone mics
- Please provide your discord so I may add you once you're casted and give you an invite to the discord server (which has been made), there I will give updates and access to the scripts, you do not have to engage in discussions if you join, I do only ask you inform me on the status of your lines & sending them in. Once casting is completed and all are invited to the discord server, production will begin swiftly.
During Production:
Many of the same rules for auditioning apply during the actual production.
- Don't add any effect or editing to lines if possible, that will be handled in post.
- Please have files in MP3/WAV, sent to a channel on discord.
- I may ask for redos if needed.
- Please keep things about the series within the chats in the server.
- This series is a overarching story, so there will be many episodes and possibly side stuff, though it is fine if you don't want to voice more beyond the pilot, I would ideally like to keep voices consistent.

The most important role here. Kim is Lune's dad and the ex-husband of Snowflake.
Kim is the former consort of the Arctic Empire, despite his previous high status, he now retirees to his restaurant and lives a regular life. However, due to the divorce, Kim also doesn't get to see his son too often, much to his own sadness. Kim is introverted, typically unconfident, and tries to keep to himself, though if his son and home are threatened, Kim has no problem speaking up.
I ideally would like him to have a deep British accent.

(Baffled/Worried) First of all, how did you even end up here?? Why are you out here?? Why at 3 in the morning?? Does your mother even know??
(Sighs; guilty) Ah son… I’m sorry I can’t be there for you as much as I used to. I know you’re under a lot of pressure, it was too much even for me. However, as much as I appreciate you looking out for me, I don’t want you to endanger yourself. You’re way too important, and not just because you’re royal.
(Caring) Hey Lune- I love you.
Second most important role as she's a reoccurring character later but her role in the pilot is very small. She is the governor of the Tropical Republic. She is very happy-going and relaxed.
She has very deep but slight raspy voice.

(Relaxed) Well there has been mostly peace here in the kingdom, that does not stop wackos from doing anything. Quite smart of you to not have your scepter with you this time, Empress.
Posting this here as this role was dropped recently
President Baron has a brief role in the pilot but has a bigger role in the series proper. He is in charge of the United Grasslands and the father of Ashley. He is a older relaxed if rather oblivious bear.
He has a deep husky voice, perhaps with a slight southern drawl.

(Concerned) I hope that doesn’t get taken away. This is my last year in office and it would be troublesome if they lost complete touch.
(Chuckles) Love takes many forms.
The extras range from teenage party goers, guards, citizens going about their day, etc. Please link your voice demos below and I can arrange specific roles in the discord server! (I do have document of roles and whose casted as what)

Dante is Alex's father, he has a brief role in the pilot but will reappear in other episodes.
Dante is a snarky older Macaque living with his son. I envision he would have a low throaty voice.
(Affirmingly) Yes… the rest of the Animal Kingdom is much different. However, it would be good for you to see beyond our village... I’m honestly hoping you can bring back a girlfriend finally.
(Disapprovingly, cuts off Alex) Alexander. We do not discuss your brother. We both know what he tried to do to your mother.
(Concerned) Son. I hope I didn’t upset you.
