Untrusted Neverland is a Peter Pan adaptation and an alternate storyline from “Return to Neverland” with an original story and new original characters.

Untrusted Neverland is a story that takes place years after the events of the main story. Nobody knows about Ares’s existence, and he has been watching everything since the very beginning. Everything begins when Jane is mistakenly taken by Hook as bait for Peter Pan. After Peter and Jane meet, Jane tries to leave Neverland but cannot due to a lack of energy and no happy thoughts. After Ares abandons and betrays Hook, Ares goes behind them to see what they’re doing. He uses Peter’s identity to take advantage of his absence and slowly destroys their trust and sense of safety until the real Peter returns with confusing accusations.

Some time later, Ares finally kidnaps Peter when he is at his lowest. Ares keeps Peter in a “prison” with limited resources, where he cannot see the light of day. With every visit from Ares, Peter’s physical and mental condition deteriorates. He slowly loses touch with reality and his ability to fly. He is forced to fight Ares, but as time passes, he becomes weaker and suffers through Ares’ so-called “lessons.” When Peter finally escapes, he receives help from Dahlia and the fearsome Captain Hook to remain hidden from Ares. In Hook’s ship, Peter’s recovery is inconsistent as he questions his identity and purpose in life while struggling with harmful behaviors toward himself. Peter must learn to understand his new self and confront the nightmare Ares has created. Meanwhile, Jane and the Lost Boys search for answers and a way out of Neverland.
