Unhallowed Veil
Project Overview
In 2040, Earth collapsed beneath an unknown outbreak that lead to a mass sequence of disappearances and deaths. As civilization fell, a small group of humans discovered the horrifying truth: an ancient race known as the Velkyr had infiltrated the world, manipulating humanity from beyond a hidden veil of reality. Those who could perceive them became the first Aethensi, warriors who fought to seal the Velkyr away at the cost of nearly all human life.
Centuries later, humanity has rebuilt a strange, beautiful world from the remnants of the First World. The apocalypse has become nothing more than fragmented history, while the Aethensi bloodline quietly monitors the seal left behind by their ancestors. But when unexplained "illnesses" causing people to display abnormal violent behaviors and inexplainable disappearances begin surfacing, the new generation of Aethensi awakens to a terrifying possibility: the Velkyr may have found a way to slip back through the veil.
As reality begins to distort around those who can see beyond—where clocks run backward, faces obscure, and familiar places become dreamlike horrors—the Aethensi must uncover what truly happened in the final days of the First World before humanity is forced to relive its darkest chapter.
