Welcome back to the "Twin Dragons" Comic Dub project! This fan-made production aims to bring Robin Dassen’s webcomic to life through voice acting.
This is the third of a possible 5 casting calls so do stay tuned for more! I do know that I will be doing one shortly after this one once the first 2 chapters are out as there are more supporting characters and background characters to grab! This is also a bit of a long comic so if you are in it, you are in it for the long haul!
AboutTwin Dragons is a slice-of-life story following the adventures of Kai and Kaya Romero, 14-year-old dragon-human hybrids navigating life in a world where humans and anthros coexist. With its heartfelt moments, humor, and exploration of themes like identity and friendship. This comic is a gem i'm excited to adapt into an audio-visual experience.
Expectations/DeadlinesIn order to do this I am expecting a 1 week deadline on the delivery of lines once announced for the recording of an episode! That being said if you are needing an extension please let me know and I am more than willing to work with you.
Expectations:
Good microphone quality with little to no background noise
Must have a discord
Lines will be sent in mp3 format
Motivated!
If you have gotten this far that means you are motivated to get this started just as much as I am! I am excited to hear your voice! Here are my expectations on the auditions.
In the description you must list the following...
Discord tag
Age (Just need to know if you are or arnt over 18)
Microphone (XLR or USB, and model)
Anything extra is extra credit!
Must have little to no background noise
The file must be RAW, no EQ'ing. I am totally fine with you doing noise reduction. There is a possibility ill ask to hear it without it though!
I am expecting at minimum 2 takes. This is for you to use different tones/voice types. If you would like to do more go for it!
If you do not do the minimum you will not be considered for the role immediately.
I would like this in ABC format but if you dont that is fine too!
You can audition for as many roles as youd like!

I will NOT be picking anyone before the deadline unless I have ether a large amount of submissions, or if I am confident with who I will be choosing! so if you auditioned and you are checking back constantly please dont worry!

Holy cow everyone! Just like last time we had a huge turn out! It was a wonderful time hearing all your individual takes on these characters! There will be one more wave of casting later on and I will post an update here when the next wave is starting! Good job everyone and I apricate the care you all have put into your auditions!
Larissa is the friend (Soon to be ex friend) of Cleo(One of the supporting cast), she was using Cleo for her money. She is a pretty aggressive character and is all about revenge after the protagonist takes Cleo away from her friend clique. There will be yelling lines for this character

(The protagonist is attempting to be friends with Cleo, You have just physically shoved them away and are backed up by your clique) [Agitated leading to threatening] Scram little girl, this is our group. You better leave her alone, got it?
(You spotted Cleo alone on a class fieldtrip without the protagonist. Now is your chance to take Cleo away from the protagonist) [feigned disbelief slightly mocking] Oh really? That lizard is better than us, huh? If she's such a good friend, where is she now?"
(Your about to spring an epic plan to ruin the reputation of the protagonist. You are interrupted by a skateboarding bat who crashed into you. He just apologized to you but your not having any of it) [angry and yelling] "Watch where you're going, you brat! And get off of me!!"
Nate is part of the protagonist's friend group. He loves basketball and considers himself a bit of an internet nerd. He proudly proclaims that he is a pacifist. That being said, he won’t hesitate to dig up hidden secrets about you online. He has a strong ride-or-die mentality—if you're his friend, your friends are his friends. And if anyone messes with them, he’ll find dirt on you through social media and use it as leverage.
He is egotistical and warm but at times he can be cold and calculated.

(You are 'helping' Rex, your closest friend and captain of the basketball team with his scavenger hunt that was part of the class. He threw shade at you and said that you can slowdown. You know he is practically almost failing and throw friendly shade back.) [Smug and friendly] "Somebody has to make sure the captain of the basketball club gets a good grade so he's not stuck in extra lessons when he should be leading the club. Dont you think captain?"
(A random girl you spotted was about to get into a brawl with the protagonists. Her brother is part of the basket ball club and is a good friend of Rex and yourself. Rex, 2 additional friends, and yourself go to intervene. What you hear when you arrive is this girl saying "You ready for a beating lizard!?")[Cold and analytical dripping with ego] "I would seriously reconsider your earlier proposal. How about we talk this out over a cup of tea?"
(You recived a phone call and recived some disturbing news. There is a group of people that are going to sabotage a food truck that your friends father is working at.) [Pondering] "Mhmm. I see. That's important, indeed" [pause] [Satisfied and smug. You know just the way to stop them] "Im glad you decided to reach out to dragon food trucks about this matter. Leave it to me Blondie. I'll fix it"
Liz is an ex-friend of Cleo and part of Larissas clique. She, unlike the others in the clique, was born with money. When they found Cleo Liz was actual friends with her. When the Clique started using Cleo for money and Liz went with it because Larissa told her that Cleo liked to spend her money on the clique.

(You are on a class field trip to the museum. Larissa, Dinah, and yourself run into Cleo and the protagonist. Larissa has pushed the protagonist making them spill their drink on themselves and is getting ready to start a fight which you are hesitantly trying to stop.) [reluctant and pensive] "Girls, do we really have to...?"
(Same class fieldtrip, Larrisa was just thrown out of the museum for breaking an exhibit as she was being patronized by a member of the protagonists group. He stopped the police from you from being thrown out as you attempted to stop Larissa previously. Your starting to break down as your clique are slowly drifting apart and breaking)[overwhelmed and holding back tears] "Everything was fine until Kaya showed up"
(Larissa proposed to ruin the food truck image that the protagonists father is running which would ruin his whole career. You think that is WAY over the edge and Larissa is out of line. Larissa just snapped at you and your going to clap back)[Mad and defensive] "No! Cleo chose different friends and you picked a fight with someone you couldn't beat! That's hardly messing up your entire life! Their dad is a cook! If you do this, he might not ever find work again, let alone be able to start a restaurant!"
Dinah is another ex-friend of Cleo.She was previously using Cleo (One of the supporting cast) for her money in their “friendship” till the protagonist strolled around and took Cleo from your clique. She is less aggressive than Larissa, more like a Hype women.

(The clique is meeting up at a restaurant you and Larissa are having a great conversation and it has been a while since you two have seen each other)[Happy] "At least your hair is groing back, huh? If you didn't know about it, you wouldn't even notice the tiny spots that are left on top."
(Your at a food festival with Larissa. You just got some churros but Larissa shot a quip about taking for ever.)[feigned offence then back to happy] "Hey! It's not often I get to eat quality churros. We're at a food festival. I'm gonna make use of that."
