Today, Running Towards Tomorrow
Project Overview
'Today, Running Towards Tomorrow' is an animated thesis film being produced at the School of Visual Arts!
Dima is the only survival in her town which has been utterly destroyed and is now spending her days retrieving the remains of her family and preparing a grave for herself. Just when she's on the brink of death, her body pulls her to keep living and she runs away from her town, despite her desire to stay with her family.
The film is serious in tone but has a hopeful ending with the intention of inspiring people to continue living, no matter their situation as their life is deeply important.
These roles are PAID on a STUDENT BUDGET; $5 per line!
Dima - 5 lines + voice sound effects ($30 dollars)
Dima's Dad - 1 line + voice sound effects($10 dollars)
Access to professional recording equipment or the ability to commute to the SVA campus in NYC is required! POC voice actors are preferred!

Dima's voice should sound like a convincing 12-14 year old girl and should have a large emotional range from normal speaking to screaming and desperation. She generally sounds depressed and distressed but it shouldn't be over the top or too exaggerated. POC voice actors preferred!

Dima's Dad has one line in the film and it is just him calling out Dima's name. Some additional sound effects such as him calling out to Dima several times and some whispering will be required.
He should have a deep, older man's voice with a fatherly vibe. POC voice actors are preferred!
