Project Overview

Hello! This is Tocagroot Entertainment. Following the success of Phase 1, we are officially expanding the "Sonic and Tails Squad!" This squad is the core of the channel’s new direction.

The main crew is locked in, and now it is time to bring in the heavy hitters for Phase 2. We are building a massive universe, and we need the right voices to make it happen.

VERY IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ:

  • Long-Term Commitment: This is NOT a one-time gig. I am looking for dedicated voice actors who are willing to stick around "forever" as we grow the channel and become popular. You become the official voice of this character for the brand.

  • NO DISCORD LINKS: We will not be using Discord. You must use Google Drive for your lines.

  • Versatility: We do variety content (tier lists, reacting to fanart, gaming, etc.). You need to be able to stay in character while improvising or having casual conversations.

Phase 2!

We are now casting for the following characters to join the squad:

  • Team Chaotix: We are casting Espio the Chameleon.

  • Vector the Crocodile: This role is now OPEN for auditions! (Show me your best take, otherwise, I may get someone else.)

  • The Rest of Team Dark: We are looking for Rouge the Bat and E-123 Omega to join Shadow.

  • Cream the Rabbit: Joining the squad to add some wholesome (or chaotic) energy!

  • Silver the Hedgehog: The future is here--Silver is officially joining the Phase 2 cast.

If you don't see your character yet, don't worry! This channel is going to be huge. Stick around for future updates.

MORE RULES - PLEASE READ:

1. Audio Quality

  • Good Microphone Required: You don’t need a $1,000 setup, but no headset mics or phone recordings. We need clear, professional-grade audio.

  • No Background Noise: Ensure your recording space is quiet (no fans, traffic, or static).

  • No Effects: Submit RAW audio only. No reverb or pitch shifting.

2. Long-Term Commitment Required Again We need reliable actors who can record regularly for Tier Lists, Gaming, and skits. Please do not audition if you cannot commit to being an active part of the team for the long haul.

3. Good Attitude

  • No Toxicity: We are building a fun, positive community. Drama or rudeness will result in immediate removal.

  • Have Fun!: We are making content to entertain people and become popular. Bring your energy!

4. Audition Format

  • Provide multiple takes (AAABBBCCC format preferred).

  • Leave 3–5 seconds of silence at the beginning for a "room tone" check.

5. Google Drive (read before auditioning.)

You will have to record your lines on any app! But, since I don't use Discord. You will send your lines through Google Drive, and once you're done with your lines you will send them to me in the chat.

You should capture Amy’s transition from a bubbly, "Sonic-obsessed" girl to a capable team leader. We are also looking for someone at least 12+ to voice act for her.

REMEMBER:

  • Whether he is frustrated, hopeful, or confused, the emotion should feel genuine and unpolished. He is not as "cool and edgy" as Shadow or carefree like Sonic; he is a kid trying his best.
  •  Silver often goes from quiet contemplation to high-energy shouts ("It's no use!", "Take this!"). Ensure you can transition between these without losing the character's core "voice."
  •  Do not "squeeze" the throat to hit his higher tenor range. Use a bright, forward resonance (mask voice) to keep the tone youthful without causing vocal strain or raspiness.
  •  Ensure recordings are free of background noise, peaking, or excessive room reverb for professional consideration.

  • Avoid "Edginess" for the sake of it: While Espio is serious, he shouldn't sound like he’s trying too hard to be "dark." Aim for focused calm rather than aggressive brooding.  He often speaks softly. Ensure your recording remains clear and audible even when whispered or spoken under the breath.

REMEMBER:
  • Blaze is royalty. Her speech should be precise, articulated, and controlled. She rarely shouts unless in the heat of battle; she "commands" the room with her presence.
  • Blaze is famously guarded. Her voice should sound somewhat "distanced" or "stiff" initially, as she struggles with social interaction. As she warms up, a subtle warmth can enter her tone.
  • When she uses her fire powers, her voice shouldn't sound chaotic. It should sound like focused energy. Think of a "simmering" heat rather than an uncontrolled explosion.
  • Blaze has a lower, firmer resonance. Try to aim for that without tensing your throat. Avoid a "gravelly" sound; she should remain smooth and elegant.
  • Ensure recordings are free of background noise, peaking, or excessive room reverb for professional consideration.

  • Cream is incredibly well-mannered. Even when she is upset or in battle, she rarely loses her soft, respectful tone. She should sound like she’s always saying "please" and "thank you" with her voice.
  •  Her voice should be light and airy.
  • While her pitch is high, avoid making her sound "shrill" or "piercing." It should be a gentle, pleasant high-pitch that is easy on the ears.
  • Do not "squeeze" the back of your throat to sound small. Use high head-voice resonance and keep your jaw relaxed to maintain that "sweet" quality without straining.

  • The voice should be monotonous yet aggressive.
  • Think "cold logic meets hot-blooded rage." Omega is arrogant about his superiority over other machines and focuses entirely on destroying Eggman. 
REMEMBER

Omega’s voice is naturally deep and mechanical. Do not "growl" or force a gravelly tone from your throat, as this can lead to vocal strain. YOU WILL ADD THE "robotic" texture post-production through filters. Focus on a clear, resonant, and consistent delivery.
