Hello everyone! Teach here with another audition for you to participate in. This one’s short, and sweet, and all kinds of scary. Its’…The Witch’s House with Voices!
THE WITCH’S HOUSE WITH VOICES:
Young Viola is off in the woods to visit her friend Ellen. Mainly because she has no other option. Ellen is a witch with a magic house…full of deadly tricks and traps. With only a black cat to guide her, Viola makes her way through the Witch’s House and into Ellen’s room. But how will she fare along the way?
SUBMISSIONS
As usual.Good mikework is a must. The less noise the better. Should you get accepted, I’ll need an .mp3 format, though I’m also willing to take .wav format as well. Just remember that if I can’t play the file, I can’t give you a part.
Also f you’re going to act in this, assume that you’re going to swear. Because sometimes my videos can jump from PG to a hard R-rating at the drop of a hat.

Sex: Female
Synopsis: A 13 year old girl who goes in to visit her friend Ellen. She has to.She can’t leave the forest unless she does. Thing is, Ellen is a witch. And since Viola has no magic she has to be very resourceful in order to reach Ellen.
Voice: Young. Flippant.
Hmm…Ellen’s house is up north. They need to change that sign. But I won’t need to worry about that much longer.
I’m going to tell her that we’re not friends anymore. And that she should let me go so that I can go home again.
Heh. Wasn’t expecting this…Well…here’s the part where things get interesting.
Sex: Female
Synopsis: The “witch” of The Witch’s House. Despite all her magic, Ellen is actually very sickly. Once she and Viola were friends. But then something happened between the two and now she forces Viola to pay her one last visit…
Voice: Young. Cute.
Note: In one of the episodes Ellen is unable to talk and is only able to speak in strangled gasps.

My father and mother didn’t love me. So I X them. I’ve been in this house ever since.

Sex: Male
Synopsis: A mysterious black cat who is around for every step in Viola’s journey through the Witch’s House. While his assistance is valued. His true role is a mystery.
Voice: Young. Playful.
Yo. Decided I’d follow you for laughs. Incidentally, where the heck’d you come out from?
Yo. By the way, this is a witch’s house.
Your friend looks like she’s having fun. Maybe you should too. Take a moment to stop and smell the roses.
Sex: Male
Synopsis: Viola’s dad. Very protective of his daughter. Worries about Viola getting lost in the woods due to the rumors of a witch living in there.
Voice: Older man. Loving Father
Dear Viola, I’m sorry for yelling at you yesterday.There’s an old legend that says a witch lives in the forest, and kidnaps children who get lost there. You’re friend’s house is very near the forest, so…I was worried about you. Your friend’s name was Ellen right? I don’t mind if you go to her house, but just stay away from the forest. Hope to see you home soon. – Dad.
Wh-What?! Why…S-STAY AWAY, MONSTER!!
Sex: Male (a girl can do this role)
Synopsis: A cute little teddy bear.
Voice: Cute and innocent.
I’m a hungry little bear. Can you set me up with a smidgen of honey?
This basket is a little small for me.
Sex: Male
Synopsis: A bear that sits in the basket. He’s beary interested in getting a friend to play with.
Voice: Baritone low.
Well, well, well…what have we here? Looks like we got some cushion for the pushin’!
Oh I got some honey for you alright…right here!
Sex: Male
Synopsis: A guy who runs a library.
Voice: Try anything
Sorting these books isn’t going well…Need something to tie them together.
Ah! You’re giving me this? Thank you! …Take this.
Sex: Female
Synopsis: A woman inside a picture.
Voice: Mischievous.
You’re gonna get it now…
I hope you’re ready for this…
Sex: Male (girls can also apply)
Synopsis: A little frog that takes a shine to Viola.Joins her party.
Voice: Cute and sweet. A nice guy.
Can I come with you?
You got it!Just leave it to me! I’ll get that switch flipped in two shakes of a lamb’s tail.
Sex: Male (a girl is fine too)
Synopsis: A jack in the box
Voice: Goofy
Boo!
Come on! At least act surprised!
Sex: Female
Synopsis: Unlike the normal Mona Lisa, this one guards a treasure and will attack anyone who finds it.
Voice: Spooky

Synopsis: A statue of a woman. She is sad.
Voice: Sad. On the verge of tears
Are you…ignoring me?
My ring…It’s not here…
Sex: Female
Synopsis: A pretty white flower that sits in the garden.
Voice: Dainty. Sweet

(Not so dainty) I DON’T THINK SO!
Sex: Female
Synopsis: Red grasses. They know many things, but do not always speak the truth.
Voice: Any.
Note: There are three of them so up to three people can take this part.
I forget what exactly the proper way to X is… It was either cutting it up or uprooting it.
None of the three ways to X are proper.You should just give up on it.
Uprooting and plucking are both proper ways to X
Honestly, she’s such a nuisance. To think! Without her, we would be the most beautiful of the garden.
Oh my. You’ve got quite big arms. Ohoho. Wouldn’t it be the easiest thing to X her with your great big arms?
Oh won’t somebody X that girl? If someone did…Ah, yes. We’d share some of our wonderful pollen.

Synopsis: A cute little tadpole. He’s sad because his father died.
Voice: Cute…but sad.
My dad is dead.
My dad was eaten by a snake.

Synopsis: Ellen’s dad. Who is imprisoned inside a cell. Just as sickly as Ellen…but for an entirely different reason.
Voice: Jittery, nervous, (drug-addicted)
(Wheeze… hack… cough….) Medicine… You…got any?
…….Ahh… aah? ….? Wait a sec.…Don’t have a….! Without that… Without THAT, I can’t even USE this!!
