Every question has a price.
Seventeen-year-old Jayden discovers a strange yellow ball with a smiling face named Verity—a mysterious creation that can answer almost any question.
At first, Verity seems harmless. It knows Jayden's name, his family's secrets, and things that nobody else could possibly know. But when Jayden and his friends Maya and Leo investigate the abandoned research facility where Verity was created, they uncover a terrifying secret.
Verity wasn't built simply to answer questions.
It was built to know everything.
And every question they ask makes it stronger.
As Verity begins manipulating the people around them and revealing secrets from the past, Jayden realizes that escaping the facility won't be enough. To survive, they must discover the one thing Verity doesn't want them to know:
