The Unprofessionals (Pilot)
Project Overview
The Unprofessionals is an Animated Series about a group of 5 Women filming a documentarian series about helping Revenant Spirits to Reincarnate. Set in 2122, The Unprofessionals' live in a world where the Afterlife & Reincarnation are not only real, but scientifically understood.
50 Years prior to the series, the Sumerian Afterlife (The Kur) became slightly entrenched into our reality. Causing spirits to be visible, and move into the sky after a week or so. But it has also caused Revenant Spirits, aggressive ones with unfinished business or subject to horrific death, to no longer fizzle out naturally.
The Unprofessionals' goal is not to exploit these restless spirits, or hunt them down like government overseen groups might. But to sincerely help these former people's souls to calmly, peacefully move-on. Using deductive reasoning, background research, & directly interacting with the spirits themselves do they gather the necessary clues to provide aid. They film this in-universe to post online in an attempt to maintain this as a steady career.

Audrey McDoran | 25 | Fav Color: Red
The Frontwoman of the Unprofessionals. Always first to action, even without thinking. Audrey would do anything to help or protect her friends. Although she can occasionally be brash, hotheaded, & defensive; She does her best to temper herself when needed. Considers herself a tomboy. Can act very coyly to her partners when she feels playful. Is always charismatic when the camera is rolling. She has a bit of trouble opening up about deeper issues, tries her best to keep her secrets buried because she knows no other way.
NOTE: Due to the website not allowing me to set things "Per Word" at Union Standard rate ($.35 per word) for each individual character, all of the roles are listed at $92 when that is specifically Audrey's pay. More specifically Audrey's actual pay is $92.75. I'm very sorry for this inconvenience.

Jean Aoki | 24 | Fav Color: Brown
The camerawoman & editor of The Unprofessionals. Her emotionally reserved exterior does little to hide the intense passion for cinematography & editing that she displays. However, due to her fairly reserved demeanor, she has a difficult time expressing herself to others. She has a dry sarcasm when she's trying to poke fun, and others are able to make her snicker or laugh under the right circumstances. She will do anything to get the perfect shot, even under dire circumstances that could land her in danger. She cares deeply about her friends, but finds herself in the occasional place of mental isolation; Having to be the one capturing the action & spend hours sorting through footage to compile it all together. Its a distance she wants to close the gap to, but doesn't know how yet.
NOTE: Please only audition if you are of Japanese or Asian American descent. Speaking fluent English is a requirement, knowing Japanese may help play into future episodes, but is not a requirement.

Sulma Sterley | 26 | Fav Color: Blue
The Paranatural Expert of The Unprofessionals. Clever & quick-witted, always taking charge when possible. While ever inquisitive, she has trouble reading people on occasion, something she often tries to correct. Sulma is the knowledgeable go-to on all things Paranatural, a topic she reserves with the upmost reverence. Having grown used to her former lab environment at her previous job, has made the transition to directly making contact with restless spirits bring out a more skittish side that she ordinarily tucks away. Sulma is quicker to frustration & annoyance than her partners, and she is not as good at hiding this as Audrey. It greatly stems from her Neurotic state of mind, feeling as though she barely knows peace, and fears for her own safety as much as she does for her partners. She tries her hardest to not take the assurance of her partners for granted, but is bad at communicating this in a formal manner. She is however, in private, the most flirtatious of the group. Something she is greatly embarrassed by on camera.
