Project Overview
THE SOMEGUY SERIES REMASTER
A PROJECT FOR FALLOUT: NEW VEGAS

SYNOPSIS
------------------------
The Someguy Series is a series of interactive story addons for Fallout: New Vegas. They have gotten high praise from fans and critics alike for their writing, stories, and gameplay.
One area, however, that has been seen as inconsistent is voice acting. There are characters throughout the series that fall in one or more of these categories:
- Bad acting
- Bad audio quality
- Missing lines
The Someguy Series Remaster project aims to remaster the original audio of several characters and hire new actors to revoice a handful of the original cast.
WHAT IS MY ROLE IN THIS?

I will be directing all voice actors cast for a role.
WHAT IS YOUR ROLE IN THIS?
----------------------------
I am looking for various actors who are willing to bring the cast of this project to life. The cast is wide and varied and will need a strong cast of voice actors to deliver the lines.
I am not super picky about microphone quality but would prefer if the mic is around the range of a Blue Yeti.
INSTRUCTIONS
---------------------
If you are cast for a role, you will receive a script through CCC DMs or email with recording instructions, deadline, accent specifications, character bios, and line directions. If you want to discuss alternate communication methods, that can be arranged.
I expect lines to be sent back for all characters following the correct organization.
For auditioning, It would be best if you were recording through audio recording software like Audacity or Adobe Audition. You should export and submit your audition as a .MP3 audio file with the settings of 44.1 kHz, 16 bits, and mono recording format.
I will open more roles over time. If you are not cast for a role, don't be discouraged from auditioning for another, as more roles will be posted over time. If you're already cast for a role and want to audition for another one - you can do so.

What Audience will this mod be for?

A subsection of gamers known as modders. Modders are gamers who partake in enhancing a particular game with new, independent content known as mods. Some games with popular and well-known modding communities are Skyrim, Fallout 4, Sims, and Arma 2 & 3.

How will payment be handled?

Payments will either be sent on the very day you're cast or after you've sent in your lines - It all depends on you. I would strongly prefer using Paypal as a means of transaction, but if otherwise, we can discuss alternative methods of payment.

What is the eligible age for auditioning?

You *have* to be 18 or older to be eligible for being cast for a role. If you're below that age, you're not eligible.

Deadline for Auditioning?

2-3 months. However, there is always the possibility for the deadline to be pushed. There is also the possibility of separate casting calls for this project categorized in "rounds" (Round 1, round 2, round 3, etc.).

- Ike Clinton is/was a gunslinger hanging out at the Short Stick Saloon in 2281.
- Not much is known about Mr. Ike Clinton. When the player first enters the Short Stick Saloon, they will witness him instigating a fight to the death with a man named Doc Friday. This is due to him claiming that Doc Friday cheated him during a game of caravan. He is promptly shot to death before he can even make a move.
- Ike Clinton by the time of his demise is drunk, angry, and unstable. His rash decision towards violence is what ultimately caused him to be shot down six feet under.
- He's 40-60 years old.
- North American or Southern American accent accent. No other exceptions.
- Ike Clinton is a reference to Ike Clanton; angry gambler who felt cheated in the film Tombstone when losing to Doc Holiday. Voice signatures can be found below.

CHARACTER DESCRIPTION:
- Chesty is a mercenary hanging out at the Big Horn Saloon in 2281.
- Not much is known about Chesty and his origins. Some time ago, he took a job to escort a caravan in New Vegas. The caravan was waylaid by a group of unknown assailants. Chesty survived, but suffered a leg injury. He is currently taking a sabbatical leave from work;spending most of his days getting drunk at the Big Horn Saloon.
- When the player character meets Chesty, he is shit-faced drunk. Not much is known about how he normally is when sober. However, quite a bit is known about how is when he’s drunk. He slurs his words, burps, and can't keep a coherent sentence to save his life.
- He's 28-35 years old.
- North American accent. No exceptions.
- His voice should be similar to his original voice acting, just in higher quality. There is also a signature of the original VA. You’re free to experiment; know that the voice must be similar to either the original VA.

CHARACTER DESCRIPTION:
- This is a courier currently residing in the Mojave Wasteland in 2281.
- Not much is known about this courier and his origins. What is known is that he was hired on a job to deliver a message the player character. It is unknown what happens to him afterwards, but it's safe to assume that he's still on the job.
- He's s a simple man just trying to make ends meet in the cruel frontier that is the Mojave Wasteland. With him being a courier, he often finds himself in peculiar situations. He is used to people treating him with disrepect. However, he does try his best to be mannerable and cordial.
- He's 28-35 years old.
- North or Southern American accent. No other exceptions.
- He should sound and act like your average joe. Like a regular delivery person, or someone who works in retail. No special pizazz, or anything like that.
[You're making your way downtown, walking fast, faces passing - you're homebound][It is when you see the person you have to deliver a message to][You do a light jog to their vicinity and greet them]

- Adam Calhoun is the last surviving member of the Calhoun family; a family of slavers closely affiliated with Caesar's Legion. When he got word that his family had been slaughtered by the player character, he made it his mission to track them down, kill them, and avenge his loved ones.
- He is a man bent on bringing justice to his family name. He is principled and has a goal he aims to accomplish. Whether or not he dies doing so is of no matter to him. He will see it through.
- He's 18-25 years old.
- North American accent. No exceptions.
- He should sound principled and determined. He speaks in a proper tone and dialect. Proper enunciation.

- Kikuchi was a drifter back in his younger days, but has since put that behind him. Deciding to settle down, he has used the money he happened upon to start up his own saloon. He operates the bar, and welcomes anybody to come in and relax.
- Kikuchi is a nice fellow. He keeps to himself, and doesn't pry in other's business. He's welcoming, cordial, and well-mannered.

- Aaron Flagg is a former member of the Brotherhood of Steel. He has since left the organization, and now fancies himself a cult leader of a group calling themselves “The People’s Temple of the Order”. He and his followers have taken up dwelling in a cave in the mountains - taking part in rituals and the like. The player is tasked with gaining information about a bounty from him.
- He has an hypnotizing, tranquilizing personality. He is similar cult leaders such as David Koresh, Jim Jones, and Marshall Applewhite - suited to giving sermons to his disciples. Cunning, egotistical, manipulative, charismatic, unnerved, etc.
- He's 35-45 years old.
- North American accent. No exceptions.

- John Calhoun is a slaver living in Canyon Cove in 2281.
- John Calhoun is one the chief slavers for the Legion. He has been selling slaves/chattel for years. If one has bought a slave in Arizona, there's a good chance they have his brand. He is a target of opportunity whom the player can eliminate in one of the main story missions in the mod.
- John Calhoun is a ruthless man who is feared by many people - especially his slaves. The only people he truly cares about is his family. However, he is getting old in his age and has developed certain medical conditions - most notably a mild loss of hearing. Due to not having any means of assisting with his condition, he cannot hear very well in conversation.
- He's 60-75 years old.
- North American accent. No exceptions.
- He should sound old and delerious. He should sound like that annoying grandpa. Your stereotypical "Old Man Smithers" voice, basically.

(Puts hand near ear)(Old man shout) Phil Yute? (Laughs)(Reminiscing) Oh, he died back in 68', year of the drought. You should have seen it.
[Person then says, “I'm gonna cut out your heart and mail it to Lanius, then I'll piss on your grave and...”][However, you cut them off and interject with another confused response]
(Confused)(Mildly annoyed tone) What are you so upset about? You need to learn to speak up, Enunciate - {beat}{emphasis}project! (Verb tense){pruh-jekt}
[Person whispers into your ears and says, “I'm gonna bleed you slow, old man. Payback from the NCR.”][Still, you misinterpret what they say due to your hearing loss]
(Flustered) (Unable to hear) I can feed myself, thank you very much. I'm old, but not helpless![Person says. "Nice family you got here."][You crack a smile and respond]
*Happy sigh* Nothing more rewarding than watching your grandchildren grow up. Do you have any kids, stranger?
[Person says they do have a family][You're glad to hear it]
Good to hear. They're such a blessing.
