Project Overview
WHAT IS OUR OASIS ABOUT?
Our Oasis takes place in an alternative technologically advanced present day where America is crumbling under major debt. The United States government funds a 7 island paradise called "The Oasis", which would serve as a luxury getaway for the most elite, politicians, and Hollywood celebrities. Using taxpayer money from hundreds of millions in poverty, controversy and conflict sparks. On opening day, The Oasis is attacked by an activist group in a movement called "The Uprising". The once beautiful getaway is soon turned into a war zone when bombed throughout and infested with rogue killing defense robots. Journalist Alex Adair visits The Oasis to interview the project's founder when all goes wrong. Our Oasis follows the journey Alex and dozens of other inhabitants as they try to survive and find a way off the island.

Alex Freeman is a young journalist at The Daily Drama News Reporting Service. He is very ambitious and is determined to be the greatest journalist out there. He's a great and encouraging older brother to his younger sister and loves all things writing. While he seems super nice, he's also very sensitive. All the while managing to keep his temper at a medium, he rarely gets mad.

Bonnie Freeman is Alex's younger sister who works as a part-time barista/college student. It's her passion to explore the world and someday be the CEO of her own company. She lives with her brother and helps him get up to date with whats going on in the world so he can get the top stories. Bonnie can get easily frustrated, but is very courageous and loves adventure.
"Good morning, dork. You tagging along or what?"
"Alright... well don't be too long."
"It's about time you got up and around. So tell me about-" "Oh... ok then. I'll see you later?"
Oliver is a local sports bar manager who loves to converse and drink beer. Oliver is Alex's old friend and his first encounter when the world turns upside down.

Rebecca is a journalist at The Daily Drama that works alongside Alex. Rebecca covers the latest stories regarding technology and the economy. When she goes overseas for a funeral, she leaves the responsibility for covering the biggest and last news story in the world with Alex.

Writer at light, ass kicker by night, Russel is a journalist at The Daily Drama and is also the chief organizer of Freddy's Fight Club Friday. Being a former wrestler, Russel owns a private wrestling ring downtown of Scottdale, Arizona and is definitely not a person you to piss off.

Illustrators are the ones who draw the frames for the animatic. They DO NOT ANIMATE. If you want examples of what an animatic is, I suggest you watch a hamilton animatic (Just search it up on youtube). If you're interested in being an illustrator, please pm me! The art style is not yet decided but will probably be a little cartoonish.
