Are you an actor, singer, voice performer, or simply someone who loves musical theatre and wants to be part of a creative team?

I’m currently casting for a fan-made, nonprofit audio drama-style musical production of The Prince of Egypt!

🎙️ ALL MAIN CHARACTERS & PARTS ARE OPEN!

We are also looking for:

• 🎶 Basic ensemble/chorus performers

• 🎭 Potential understudies for various roles

• 🎤 Singers and actors of a variety of experience levels

• 🌟 Performers who may be newer to voice acting or musical theatre but have the right character fit and enthusiasm

⭐ WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

You do NOT have to be a perfect actor or singer to audition.

Experience is absolutely welcome, but performers with a variety of experience levels will be considered. Whether you're experienced, intermediate, self-taught, or relatively new, I want to hear what you can bring to the role.

What matters most to me is the essence of the character.

I'm looking for performers who can capture the personality, emotional core, vocal qualities, energy, dynamics, and overall spirit of the character they're portraying. Sometimes the person who isn't technically “perfect” on paper can be the person who makes a character come alive.

So if you feel that you can inhabit a character and make them feel real, please don't hesitate to reach out!

🎭 GENDER-BENDING / CASTING FLEXIBILITY

We are also open to gender-flexible casting when it comes to the performers themselves.

This does NOT mean that we are changing the actual genders of the characters. Rather, performers of a different gender than the character may audition for and potentially portray that character.

When casting, we will place much more emphasis on vocal range, vocal dynamics, characterization, emotional delivery, and how naturally someone inhabits the role than on the performer's real-life gender.

🎙️ REMOTE PRODUCTION

This is a fully remote project, meaning each performer will be responsible for recording their own parts from their own location.

There will be different ways of breaking up the material to help everyone record their singing parts smoothly and their spoken dialogue clearly and neatly. We will work with performers to make the recording process as manageable as possible.

The finished production will be an audio drama-style musical, meaning the final product will include things such as:

🎧 Immersive sound design

🌙 Atmospheric soundscapes

🔊 Foley and sound effects when appropriate

🎭 Dramatic dialogue and performances

🎶 Musical performances

✨ Post-production designed to make the listener feel like they're inside the world of the story

💰 IMPORTANT — THIS IS A NONPROFIT FAN PROJECT

This is NOT a paid project.

I do not own the licensing for The Prince of Egypt, and this project is being created strictly as a fan-made, nonprofit production for fun and creative collaboration.

There will be no payment for participation, and the finished production will ultimately be released on YouTube once recording and post-production are complete.

Because of that, please only reach out if you're genuinely interested in participating.

If you are cast, you are agreeing to commit your time, talent, communication, and teamwork to the production. This is a collaborative project, and everyone's participation matters in getting the finished production across the finish line.

You don't necessarily need a professionally produced demo reel. A good sample of what you can actually do is what matters most.

If you'd like to hear an example of what I'm aiming for, I can provide links to small samples from my previous fan-made audio drama-style musical production of Disney's The Hunchback of Notre Dame.

The full production has not been released yet, but several promotional and sneak-peek samples have already been made available.

The same general philosophy applies here: real performers, real acting, real singing, collaborative storytelling, and immersive audio post-production.
