The Primus Legacy (Halo: Reach Machinima) --Re-Opened--
Project Overview
STORY:
Short Summary:
It has been nearly two centuries since the discovery of humanity’s ancestors, but in 2322 the primus’ secret war is unveiled, unleashing a long forgotten alien menace onto Earth and her colonies. Five primus soldiers however, vow to stand together until the very end to bring balance back to the galaxy.
Long Summary:
In 2097, humanity achieved galactic travel. Led by the Alliance of United Nations, colonies on Mars, the moons of Jupiter and Saturn, and many other planets were created, forever expanding human territories. In 2145, upon exploring planet Haven, the human recon team stumbled upon another sentient race: the primus. They average seven feet tall, areextremely intelligent, and incredibly strong. In 2146, after communications between primus and humans had been perfected, it was discovered that the primus were in fact humanity's ancestors, built around a civilization hundreds of thousands of years old.
Aside from the few paranoid racists from both species, humans and primus thrived together, sharing technology and culture. But that didn't stop the small military power of the AUN from immediately growing. The primosian empire was enormous and humanity wanted to be prepared for a war if one was to break out. Unfortunately in 2322, war came, but it wasn't with the primus. The Exiles, a race of marauding aliens assaulted Earth using primus technology. The primus had been fighting them since before the discovery of humanity and had kept the war a secret for over 200 years. The AUN immediately launched counter-offensives, but the exiles spread horrifyingly quickly, engulfing the majority of human territory in war. Now in 2338, where our story takes place, a legion of incredibly skilled primus ally with humanity to drive the exiles back from the primus capital of Oor'Ket, but this war is bigger then anyone could have imagined...
Info for Potential VA's:
- Please have a microphone of decent quality. I'm not asking for absolute professionalism, but try to avoid background noise such as static, pops and bumps, or anyother ambient noises that may detract from quality. Slight background static is fine as I have found with other actors that I can "clean up" the audio with ease. However, if there is considerable background noise or anything of the sort present within your audition, you will most likely be rejected.
- I am very lenient when it comes to deadlines. As long as you maintain contact with me on a semi-regular basis we should have absolutely no problem. I have had actors in the past drop out of contact for months resulting in their termination of the role. If a basic form of communication is set, we should have no problems.
- Though I'm not the best at it,I will always do my best to give generalized feedback to all auditions. If you'd like a bit more feedback then what I initially give feel free to message me and I'll see what I can do!
Misc. Information:
- "The Primus Legacy" is actually a book I'm currently writing which I am converting into a Halo: Reach Machinima. Though unfinished the lore and universe continues to grow;if you are playing a role I deem part of the "core cast",you will recieve the current book version of the episodeas well as the scriptwhich I believe will help the reader better understand their character and the history of the universe that they'll be dropping into. If you have any questions by all means let me know!
- For anyone with Xbox Live and a copy of Halo: Reach, I am always on the hunt for new body actors for the filming aspect. If you're interested in body acting message me on Xbox. My gamertag is: solar storm25
-Some pictures of characters are not based off models from Halo: Reach. They are miscellaneous images pulled from the internet that portary the character as seen in the book. All credit goes to the artists.

Back in Action!
Hello everyone!
With the release of Primus Legacy just around the corner, I've discovered that there are some more available roles for audition! The roles are all minor but important to the video nonetheless. Good luck everyone!
Age: 125 (about 32 in human years) *subject to change slightly
Height: 6'7"
Rank: Imperial Centurion
Faction: Imperial Vanguard; Leader
Role Type: Major
Voice Type: Low, authoritative, fierce and calm in the right situation. Slightly gravelly but not too extreme. Speaks with confidence and charisma.
Notes:
1) This character is a MAJOR role and will play a pivotal role throughout the entire series. If you are interested in auditioning please keep this in mind! But please don't be afraid to audition because of this!
2) Keep in mind that this is a primus role and some lines of dialogue will be spoken in the "primosian" language. Try to speak quickly but fluidly. It is unknown at this time how much primosian dialogue will be present for this character.
3) Due to the importance of this role, I have added in several other audition lines that MUST be submitted along with the normal three. They are below the description. Any potential actor who does not do these lines will not receive consideration for the role until a new audition is submitted.
4) Please refrain from adding voice effects that completely alter your natural voice. They ruin the immersion of the character.
Imperial Centurion Tempus is the leader of the Imperial Vanguard Legion, which consists of over 300,000 soldiers and is one of the many main fighting forces of the New Imperial Order. Like other soldiers of his rank, he remains virtually anonymous and is known only as his title Tempus. Tempus, in the primus language, stands for "Balance", as it is the duty of the Vanguard to return the empire to peace in times of war. The Vanguard also has the task of reinforcing the Council Guard if the High Council or Empress is in immediate danger. When interacting with humans, he is more commonly known as "Commander" or "Echo-One" after being assigned the call-sign of Echo by the human General James Levant.
Before the current events of the story, Tempus was personally trained by Grand Empress Sin'Yeh, who at the time, was one of the most influential warriors in the galaxy. After completing the Imperial Centurion training in forty years instead of the normal seventy five, he was elevated to the rank of Imperial Centurion, surpassing Nor'Jek Damos, a Sovereign Centurion who was originally selected for the role. This caused Tempus to gain quite a few enemies throughout the empire including the Matriarch of the militarized Lexan clan and the Centurion Hierarch who oversees all the legions. Nonetheless, Tempus fought valiantly for the empire, eventually training his own personal legion (who are the other four main characters) and gaining the favor of his fellow Imperials. Tempus is one of six main protagonists in the series and is extremely important to the story.
Extra lines: Please include ALL lines within the audition or else you will not be considered! For the primosian lines do not include the English script, it is only there for reference.
1) (commanding/fierce/slight panic) That’s a scavenged tank! There’s an exile inside! Stay down! I’ll take care of it!
2) (commanding) Centuri! Luudo!
[Centurions! Rally!]
3) (angry) Numquid cerritus, Argus!? Tot regione imbellum inermis! Non valjaa agmina tua!
[Argus, have you gone mad!? There are too many noncombatants in the area! Do not deploy your troops!]
4) (fierce/confident) Tua superbia te obcaecati! Aliquam ante res. (pause/solemn) Ergo magis sapien sunt nobis... opus et uxilium.]
[You have been blinded by your own pride! It's time to face the facts. (pause) The humans are more powerful then us... and we need their help.]
5) This is line is optional, but highly recommended. Come up with whatever you like! The more creative you are will increase the likelihood of being chosen for the role.
Greetings, I am Tempus, Imperial Centurion of the Vanguard. However, the humans prefer to call me Echo-One, leader of primus Team Echo. It’s a pleasure.
(annoyed) Unless it has something to do with a transfer back to Oor’Ket I’m not very interested.
(fierce/commanding) This is Imperial Centurion Tempus to all soldiers stationed in Exordium! I’m initiating protocol IGNIS. Repeat, I’m initiating protocol IGNIS. Requesting a weapon’s drop in front of the Citadel! We are at war!
Age: 180 (about 45 in human years)
Height: 6'6"
Rank: Magnus/Sovereign Centurion
Faction: Imperial Vanguard; temporary Second-in-Command
Role Type: Supporting
Voice Type: Low, brash, and rather fierce. Somewhat gravelly but not too extreme. Speaks very pridefully. His voice seems to demand attention.
Notes:
1) Within the first episode Nor'Jek will not be speaking English whatsoever. He has many lines within the primosian language. Be prepared if you're willing to audition.
2) Please refrain from adding voice effects that completely alter your natural voice. They ruin the immersion of the character.
Nor'Jek Damos, later known as Vernum, is a magnus centurion of the primus empire. Magnus centurions are among the lowest rank of the Centuri class, but this was not always the case with Nor. Over twenty years before the main story, Nor'Jek was about to ascend to Imperial Centurion, the highest and most prestigious rank a soldier can attain. However, after a severe head injury left him hospitalized for half a year, things changed. Grand Empress Sin'Yeh had already made her decision; omitting thousands of years of traditions in order to bestow Echo-One (a main character) with the title of Tempus, the Imperial Centurion of the Vanguard.
This left a horribly sour taste in Nor'Jek's mouth, and after a brief confrontation with Tempus that left Nor'Jek in the dirt he swore revenge. Nor was demoted from Sovereign Centurion (the second highest ranking) to magnus, stripped of his title of Caedis, and put under command of Tempus's second Vernum. After the initial battle on the primus capital however, Vernum was killed-in-action. Without a proper second to the Vanguard readily available, the primus High Council decided to temporarily bring Nor'Jek back into the ranks and bestowed upon him the rank of Sovereign and the title of Vernum. This sparks a horrible controversy later on.
Nor'Jek is described as the "anti-hero" of the series. Not necessarily a villian but not someone the other protagonists want to be around. He's arrogant, selfish, and horribly prideful with his new found power going straight to his head.
(enraged) I was meant to become Tempus! You have no right to my name!
(stern/angry) He was a coward and a traitor. His death was justice.
(frustrated) Na! Non regredi tirtira! Non oportet komme forsiden!
[No! We can't retreat! We need to get back to the front!]
Age: 220 (about 55 in human years)
Height: 6'6"
Rank: Sovereign Centurion
Faction: Imperial Vanguard; Second-in-Command
Role Type: Minor
Lin’Quo, formally known as Sovereign Centurion Vernum is an extremely high ranking and influential warrior of the Primus Empire. Vernum is the title bestowed to the second-in-command of the Imperial Vanguard, and takes orders directly from the leader, Imperial Centurion Tempus (AKA Echo-One). From a young age Lin was inspired by the warriors of her clan and swiftly moved through the ranks eventually achieving the rank of Justicar which is incredibly monumentous as only a select few warriors are chosen to be trained in the Justicar ways.
Please note: This character does not speak English whatsoever. Before auditioning please be prepared to speak the "primus language" throughout the entirety of the script.
Nor! Nor’Jek es audire? Nor’Jek vakn opp! Den Vaskydda ni astorten! Nor’Jek!
[Nor! Nor'Jek can you hear me? Nor'Jek, wake up! The Vanguard is collapsing! Nor'Jek!]
Je werd geraakt unda kaino; ergo essem ko. Kom igen, opus ire; den Exuké mas skatinant níos tapúla.
[You were hit by a shock wave. I thought I'd lost you. Come on, we need to retreat; the Exiles are advancing faster than anticipated.]
(This line is optional, come up with whatever you like. The more creative you are, the more likely you'll get the role)
Age: 234 (about 58 in human years)
Height: 6'8"
Rank: Imperial Warlord
Faction: Primus High Council - Lexan Clan
Role Type: Major-Supporting
As Imperial Warlord, Zula establishes and oversees all military ranks and activity. With Echo-One's guided ascendance to Imperial Centurion of the Imperial Vanguard by Grand Empress Sin'Yeh however, rules changed. The Imperial traditions state that the Imperial Warlord must carry out this decision through a series of trials, testing dozens of potential candidates, but Sin'Yeh overruled her. Due to this, she loathes Echo-One and everything to do with him. However, when the primus hit their darkest hour, she must learn to accept Sin'Yeh's decision, as One and his allies continually prove themselves in the battlefield.
As Imperial Warlord I have the entire Vanguard under my command. Many of my own personal legions are stationed within Exordium. We have no use for Suri'Yehs pets.
(angered) As matriarch of the Lexan clan I control the entire primus military. Your ascendance to Imperial Centurion was a direct attack on my authority! If it wasnt for Sin'Yeh's interference then you would have been detained!
(horrified; angry) Dec nuam fost intimita per den incursio!?
[Why weren't we notified during the invasion!?]
Age: 24
Height: 5'2"
Rank: N/A
Faction: Alliance of United Nations - R&D
Role Type: Supporting
Please Note: I am not looking for an "Anime" style voice. I've have recieved many auditions like that for for this character in the past and I just wanted to clarify that that is NOT what I'm looking for.
Orphaned after the exile attack on Earth, Io'Sen's (aka Echo-Four, a major character) clan took her in in an attempt to raise relations with primus and humans. She took Io's family name "Sen" as her surname as her true family is unknown. Even at 24 years of age, growing up with primus children has effected Claire mentally and she possesses a child-like personality; she is however a brilliant researcher. Claire is supposed to be affected by PTSD further in the series (i.e. the second line), but this may be cut due to unrequired parallels with the book.
For an example of the previous actress (who unfortunately stepped down) check out the video below: Skip ahead to 1:42 as the intro is now an obsolete ramble. This is the scene in which Claire appears in its entirety.
https://youtu.be/Ig3ya7tb_0A?t=103
Io! Where are you? Are you invisible again? You know I hate it when you do that!
(terrified) D- Don't come any closer! (pause) GET AWAY FROM ME!
(This line is optional, come up with whatever you like. The more creative you are, the more likely you'll get the role)
(subtle laugh/heavy sarcasm) You’re a piece of work you know that?
(authoritative) Commander. (pause) You know what we're here to discuss correct?
(This line is optional, come up with whatever you like. The more creative you are, the more likely you'll get the role)
Minor Role:
Lt. Walsh is the second-in-command of the AUN Frigate Stargazer and Captain Levant's right hand man. He has one line within Book I and will have a few more within the beginning of Book II. Speaks with a medium-tone English accent.
Copy that. Prepping for departure. We'll need you onthe bridge as soon as possible Captain. Lot of info coming through. Walsh out.
(authoritative)
Alert! We are under attack! This is not a drill!
Well I'm not one to go against code, but it's noteveryday that a human gets personally invited down to the primus capital. I'll manage things here, Captain. Go on ahead.
Miscellaneous troops of the Alliance of United Nations will be noted throughout the episode. None will be taking part in combat. All have 1-3 lines. (0/6 roles remaining)
(shocked/angry) What the Hell was that?
Im getting really sick and tired of your crap primus. We would have been a whole lot better off without your kind. If it wasnt for you the Exiles would have never found Earth!
(This line is optional, come up with whatever you like. The more creative you are, the more likely you'll get the role)
A few primus soldiers will be noted during the prologue of episode one. None of them speak English so be prepared to speak a gibberish language I created consisting of Latin, German, and a few other European languages. Each have 2-4 lines at least. Two roles remain.
Integer opus ex auro signum sed non possum. Den Exuké oportet autem clausus et in kommuné a Exordium.
[The systems are working fine but I can't get a signal out. The Exiles must be blocking our communications to Exordium.]
Sie kam aus dem. Eminus satell rem non kas.
[They came out of nowhere. Long range radar didn't pick up a thing.]
(valiant) Nam Bastellé!
[For the Order!]
Minor Role:
Sovereign Centurion Arum, like Vernum, is an extremely high ranking soldier of the Imperial Vanguard. After a devestating defeat on the planet of Kol'Suun, Arum ended up losing over eighty-percent of the 10,000 soldiers in his legion. After a near futile evacuation, Arum was taken to the primus-human colony of Haven where he was allowed to rest peacefully as his wounds healed. Due to his long service within the Vanguard, Arum displays his authority wherever he pleases, especially when it comes to two soldiers sparring for human entertainment.
Please note: This character has at least one line within the primosian language. He has a slight chance of reappearing later in the series though this will not be confirmed for quite a long time.
Licuit quod satis! Pugnat super postes ite ad onera vestra!
[Alright that's enough! Fights over, get back to your posts!]
Spoken like a true Warlord yet your actions beg todiffer. Nevertheless I did not confront the two of you on poor fighting performance. Imperial Lord Tempus has instructed me to pass on a message to your legion.
Although I fail to understand why Councilor Lexan exhibits so much mistrust for our leader, it's becoming painfully obvious that the Imperial Vanguard is falling apart. We need Tempus on the frontlines now more then ever.
Very Minor Role:
A primosian scientist who is attempting to get into contact with her superiors. This character has only one line in the primus language. Please only include the primosian script, the English is just for reference.
Na, na angen est dicere se Etsuak Valan... Jo jag tsen... Kej, an porth...
[No, no I need to talk to Councilor Valan directly.... Well I don’t care what he... Fine, I’ll wait.]
A very small role with only two lines. Can be male or female with any accent.
Where... uh... What’s his destination Major?
Roger that...
Tiny role:
One of two human Marines that are observing and betting on a sparring match. The audition lines will be the lines used in the episode. Can be male or female.
Five credits on the orange one.
(upset) Damn it!

Deal.
(smug) Pay up.
