Project Overview
(DISCLAIMER: MUST BE 13-18 YEARS OF AGE)
DREAM SHIFTER is a story about a young woman whose dreams are another world. Literally.
Kasmira is an aspiring actor, who dropped out of college early to pursue her dream full-time. Which in her parent's eyes only means three things, she's penniless, naive, and wasting her life. They wanted her to study medicine, and she didn't want that for herself.
Throwing the future she never wanted out of the window, she moves away from her family to New York City to a small shabby apartment, hoping to make her dreams come true, and pursue the future she wants.
Nothing goes to plan.
A couple of months go by, and the only job Kasmira has landed is at a restaurant as a waiter, struggling to make ends meet. She still has hope for her future in acting, she knew it wasn't going to be easy. Then one day she finally receives a callback, even though it's a small role in a small film with an even smaller amount of pay. She's happy that she finally got something.
On her way home from work, Kasmira stops and buys a small gift to congratulate herself, a necklace. She wears it to bed that night, and when she wakes, she isn't in her room, this isn't her bed, and this is not New York City, and there are two strangers knocking at her door, begging, pleading her to come out. And there's...a note in her pocket.
Telling her exactly what she needs to do if she wants to survive in this new world, this new reality, that is not her own.

Hello everyone! I'm so glad you're interested in working on this project with me.
I'd like to go over some requirements and rules very quickly!
RULES/REQUIREMENTS:
1. MUST BE 13-18 YEARS OF AGE.
2. MUST HAVE GOOD QUALITY MIC AND LITTLE TO NO BACKGROUND NOISE.
3. MUST BE WILLING TO MAKE A COMMITMENT FOR 4-10 SEASONS, EACH SEASON INCLUDING 12, 30-40 MINUTE EPISODES.
4. MUST BE OKAY WITH USING DISCORD AND ZOOM AND HAVE AN ACCOUNT FOR EACH. ALSO MUST BE OKAY WITH SHOWING YOUR FACE TO VERIFY YOU ARE WHO YOU SAY YOU ARE.
5. NO CUSSING.
6. KEEP THE CONVERSATIONS CLEAN, NO VIOLENT, RACIST, OR INAPPROPRIATE BEHAVIOR OR JOKES.
7. BE KIND, BE PATIENT.
8. WHEN AUDITIONING PLEASE SAY YOUR NAME, TIME ZONE, AND AGE.
9. HAVE FUN!
FAILURE TO MEET THE RULES AND REQUIREMENTS WILL RESULT IN BEING KICKED OFF THE SERIES AND REPLACED, OR YOUR AUDITION WILL NOT EVEN BE CONSIDERED. THANK YOU!

Kasmira Moylan is the protagonist of Dream Shifter.
Kasmira is a twenty-year-old aspiring actor.
She's sarcastic without a sense of humor, she's also a dreamer. She lacks social skills.

Rayven is Daven's sister, and Kasmira's best, and only true friend.
She works at the same restaurant as Kasmira. She's sassy and has an extreme sense of humor.

Davina is a supporting character.
She's trapped in Kasmira's reality, though she doesn't feel as though she's trapped. She's in no rush to get back to her own, especially after screwing over Kyra, and not wanting to deal with her mouth. Davina also has a small thing for Carsten, and tends to be a bit jealous. She's even started to see this reality as her own, which can be dangerous.
Davina has a punk-rock kind of vibe, she's sassy, witty, reckless, and does not hesitate to put someone in their place.

Colette Callow is the woman who gave Kasmira the necklace, and possibly the only other sane person who knows what she's going through.
Colette acts as Kasmira's friend and mentor to the best of her ability, even though her memories are patchy when it comes to anything regarding the necklace and Marden, but she's helpful and useful enough. She's also Nikita's and Carsten's mom.
She's a total momma-bear. Though, much like her son, she's a little rough around the edges. Only if she's provoked though. To those she loves, she shows it. She's caring, loving, selfless, and protective.

Nikita is the side character and Carsten's sister.
Nikita is nothing like her brother, with a warm, kind heart and she believes her reason for being here is different than Carsten's, she loves her brother, but she believes her duty is to help people. Especially in her reality.

Louis Malone is a key character to this series.
He created/found the necklaces. He's a wanted man in every reality that exists in the Dream World, especially by Marden, who used to be his best friend before they both betrayed each other.
Louis is witty, his jokes are cheesy, he can be ignorant and extremely stubborn, but his heart will always lead him towards doing the right thing. He has a belief in humanity, whereas Marden lacks it. And to top it all off, he really just misses his best friend.

Marden Lurche is the villain of this story.
Growing up, Marden was a laughingstock. He was undervalued, and unappreciated, and nothing he did was good enough for anyone. Everyone made a spectacle out of him.
Until one day, Marden meets someone who becomes his best friend. Marden and his friend work on something they believe will change the world as we know it. But everyone laughs at Marden, laughs at his friend, and no one will invest it. They say it's silly, pointless, and stupid.
Marden, tired of being laughed, comes up with a plan. A plan to prove them all wrong.
Marden often feels misunderstood, and alone. He's a decent guy at heart, but all of that got lost in the fuel for revenge and hatred. He lacks compassion for humanity at this point.
"I haven't met anyone yet who knows this song. I thought it was only me and my ma. What's your name kid?"
"Do you think I'm stupid? Do you seriously think that I don't know what you're up to? I KNOW....I know what you did, Louis. I know what you did to me, and I know what you did to Oliver, and I promise you, you'll pay for what you did."

Carsten is the love interest.
Carsten believes he was born for one reason, to protect his sister at all costs.
He's a bit prickly around the edges, but he's really a teddy-bear, who's above all else loyal.

Kyra Keeley is an extremely important character in this story.
Kyra has been trapped in the other reality for what feels like forever. She tries to keep herself from losing her mind in her solitude, but making herself look insane is a great cover.
Kyra believes in self-preservation, she's a tad selfish, but loyalty overpowers that. And she's sarcastic, more than Kasmira, not many people understand her.

Daven Sharp is Rayven's brother.
He's a nice guy, harmless. He tries to make everything easier for his sister, but often feels like he's only a burden to her. His temper is slow, and often boils over after holding in so much.

Ellis Gray is one of Kasmira's most hated co-workers.
He's arrogant, stubborn, but he has a strong-will to do what's right--as long as he doesn't hurt him in doing so. He's also nosy.
