Project Overview
The Murder of Sonic the Hedgehog: Animated!
A retelling of the Murder of Sonic the Hedgehog in a storybook/paper-doll animation style!
Although voice references are included for some of the characters, don't feel stuck to that! I'm excited to hear everyone's unique takes.
All animations done by me/Artwork from Sega
Note: The animation is of the paper-doll/storybook style, just like the video above! I'll provide more project samples as things move along :)
(Note: This project does NOT use or endorse AI in any way)
AUDITION REQUIREMENTS:
-You must be 18+
-Have paypal/venmo, this is a paid project with a flat rate of $15 per person.
-Discord required.
-Be available and willing to participate in 1-2 live readings of the script on Discord! Although the final audio will be recorded separately, this will help the cast mesh together in terms of tone/direction.
-A good microphone. No background noise/static etc.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Does this project use or support AI?
NO! "The Murder of Sonic the Hedgehog: Animated" does not use, support, or endorse AI in any way. This includes art, script, and voice acting.
Can I still submit an audition if I'm not 18+?
No - As an adult, I do not feel comfortable working with people who are under the age of eighteen.
What will payment be like for the final project?
I'm still working out the fine details of how much voice actors will be compensated (It WILL be more than the original $15 listed). As the script gets closer to being finalized I will update the project page! The final dollar amount will likely be $rate per scene.
Where is Tails? - May I audition for him?
I plan on voicing Tails myself, I've voiced him in some other projects as well! He's a character that means a lot to me! Auditions for him are not open at this time.
What will the animation be like?
The animation for this project will be a combination of two different styles - one provided by myself, the "paper-doll" or storybook animation - and a full-motion style provided by the amazing Monstrously! (Here's a link to Monstrously's previous work! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MjZ_ebQaLEY)

I'm looking for an additional animator to help me on this project who can match the animation and art style of what I've done so far! The animation style is reminiscent of a puppet, a paper doll, or a pop-up book and done mostly with key frames/layering of the original artwork to create moveable joints.
