Additional Characters
As I work on the scripts for this project, I realize that there are a few recurring side characters I'd like to add to the listing. While Miner and Jay are the leads, characters like Ray are notable and full of life.
The Crafters Show
Project Overview
"The Crafters Show" is a slice-of-life Minecraft Machinima comedy. The initial plan is to produce shorts (most of which will be within the 2-5 minute range) following the 4 main characters. As we settle into the production, there will be more complicated arcs consisting of six-episodes, with a runtime of 10 minutes each .
The series centers around four friends going on adventures and driving each other crazy. We need to cast Jes and Miner, two of the four leads.

Miner is rude, silly, and a little bit sadistic. His is the youngest member of the team, and while smart for his age, lacks street smarts. He is a talented gamer and fighter, out-matching everyone else in feats of speed and strength (which, while impressive, can lead him to be arrogant.) While this older sibing, Jegg (they/them) is a big sweetheart, his is the sour to balance them out.
His outfit change from episode to episode, but more often than not, his face and hands remain covered by costume pieces: currently, his favorite is an alien mask and gloves. Alternatively, he'll wear a white hockey mask and a black hoodie.
[Your friends just asked you to go on an adventure. You don't care.] (Unamused, deadpan) "No." (pause)
Don't talk to me."
[Baby-raging as your teammate loses a match. You're very competitive.] (Stressed, angry) "Jagg- JAGG NO! NOOOOOO! I can't believe y- WHY?! WHY ARE YOU SO BAD?!"
NOTE: Don't be afraid to get screechy! I'm okay with overpowering the microphone if it adds to the comedy. This character's anger in competitive scenarios is very much "baby raging."
[Your older sibling is trying to hype up a mutual friend, and while what they said was relatively tame, it was just out-of-character enough for you to tease what is usually the Goody-Two-Shoes of the family.] (Sarcastic) "Oh my God, Jagg swore, that’s so cool.

REFERENCES:
Jes is the most calm and collected member of the Crafters (he also gives the best hugs.) A man of few words, when he does speak, he's a source of comfort for everyone on the team... Unfortunately, when he teams up with Miner, this goes out the window in favor of teasing the others.
[Your three friends are being goofballs, and probably going to get in trouble. You're watching from a distance.] (Chill, amused) "Ha… I’m going home."
[You just found out that your friend, MC, cheated at a game. You're not a competitive person, but you like to see him a little embarrassed.] (Teasing) "Oh, so that’s how you finished so fast! HA- MC’s just a big cheater "
[Your friend is exhausted, and seems like they're about to pass out.] (Concerned, caring) "Do you need, like, a pizza or something?"

NOTE: This a slightly raspy voice. It can be on the deeper side, but that's not a must. Ray is a minor player is the early episodes, but he will have a supporting role in a 6 episode arc at one point. Thank you!
Ray is outrageously silly and dramatic in such a way that you'd never expect him to be sober. He's an educated man, but his manic nature and lack of filter make you question whether he's ever really aware of what's going on. That said, he does have a serious, sane side, though it is rare.
[RAY attempts to romance an obviously uninterested PIG] (Smooth-talking) "What’s your name baby? You from around here?" [The pig oinks.] (Intrigued, flirty.) "Ooh, so you’re an EXOTIC fella…? I like that."
[You've just been stabbed.] (In pain) *groans* [The person who stabbed you is being accused of murder, due to holding a bloody knife: it's your blood, though.] (In pain, explaining) "That’s my blood- I have been stabbed MANY times" [Pause.] (Still in pain, but you're telling someone off. Not upset, just judgey.) "Yeah, don't make assumptions, it's rude."
[You think someone is questioning your intelligence. In actuality, they're just concerned you can't think straight because you're losing so much blood.] (Defensive, gradually getting more upset.] "What? What are you gonna say, empty headed? Dull witted? Obtuse? F** you man, I went to COLLEGE, I’ve got a vocabulary like a DICTIONARY- I’m SMAR-" [You pass-out mid sentence, hitting the ground with a thud.]
[Someone just said that your mutual 'friend' is dead, but you correct them.] (Serious.) "Stabbed." [Pause.] (Serious and certain: unusually so.) "Jagg can't die- they can be SHANKED, SHOT, BURNED, DROWNED, and sold like the object they are, but DIE…? Apparently that's a privilege this God-forsaken earth doesn't deserve. They WILL live…" (Deathly serious) "WHICH IS WHY WE MUST NOT."
