NOTE: This a slightly raspy voice. It can be on the deeper side, but that's not a must. Ray is a minor player is the early episodes, but he will have a supporting role in a 6 episode arc at one point. Thank you!
Ray is outrageously silly and dramatic in such a way that you'd never expect him to be sober. He's an educated man, but his manic nature and lack of filter make you question whether he's ever really aware of what's going on. That said, he does have a serious, sane side, though it is rare.
[RAY attempts to romance an obviously uninterested PIG] (Smooth-talking) "What’s your name baby? You from around here?" [The pig oinks.] (Intrigued, flirty.) "Ooh, so you’re an EXOTIC fella…? I like that."
[You've just been stabbed.] (In pain) *groans* [The person who stabbed you is being accused of murder, due to holding a bloody knife: it's your blood, though.] (In pain, explaining) "That’s my blood- I have been stabbed MANY times" [Pause.] (Still in pain, but you're telling someone off. Not upset, just judgey.) "Yeah, don't make assumptions, it's rude."
[You think someone is questioning your intelligence. In actuality, they're just concerned you can't think straight because you're losing so much blood.] (Defensive, gradually getting more upset.] "What? What are you gonna say, empty headed? Dull witted? Obtuse? F** you man, I went to COLLEGE, I’ve got a vocabulary like a DICTIONARY- I’m SMAR-" [You pass-out mid sentence, hitting the ground with a thud.]
[Someone just said that your mutual 'friend' is dead, but you correct them.] (Serious.) "Stabbed." [Pause.] (Serious and certain: unusually so.) "Jagg can't die- they can be SHANKED, SHOT, BURNED, DROWNED, and sold like the object they are, but DIE…? Apparently that's a privilege this God-forsaken earth doesn't deserve. They WILL live…" (Deathly serious) "WHICH IS WHY WE MUST NOT."
