THE ISLAND | Minecraft Roleplay
STORY SUMMARY:
- The story follows Jatasi, a quiet and paranoid girl patiently waiting for her younger sister to join their private Minecraft server. She hasn't seen her sister, Melody, in some time. This is due to an ongoing custody battle with their mother for guardianship of Melody and their other young siblings. This server is the only way for them to spend time with one another.
- When Melody stops getting on, Jatasi grows worried. She waits and waits, but her sister never comes back online. After a few months of Jatasi still playing the server by herself, her sister makes a mysterious appearance and claims that something is in the house with Melody and her other young siblings.
- Jatasi can only help from a distance, while also experiencing a strange phenomenon inside the game itself. A phenomenon that may be a little more than just ones and zeros.

AUDITION GUIDELINES:
- VA's MUST be 18+ to voice in this project!
- No swearing will be expected/written in this project.
- Nothing NSFW will be expected/written in this project.

VOICING PROCESS:
This is a dub! If you get the role, you'll be given a general script to work off of, but your primary source of lines will be from the video itself. You would voice over the lines of Melody (Jatasi is a silent protagonist).
PAYMENT & EXPECTATIONS
- As stated in the project payment details, the flat rate of this project is $75 USD. - - Payment will be issued through Pay-Pal only. This payment would be issued after all lines are completed.
- Expected run time of this video is anywhere between 25 minutes and 45 minutes. You would dub over ALL of Melody's lines in said video, preferably working in a voice call with the director for any pointers, questions, etc. This would also include any potential last minute line changes.
- Any extra voice work being done will be communicated by the director. You are only expected to voice for this single video. Any lines that are submitted and that make it into the final cut may be used for advertisement for the series via YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, etc.
- Absolutely no AI is to be used in this project, and no voice lines will be run through AI.
- Total workload should be no longer than two hours max, not counting a potential line redo here and there during the editing process.
AUDITIONING/ACCEPTING ROLES:
- If I select you for the role, I will reach out to you on Discord. You are expected to reply to any messages during the voicing period/about the project within one week, that way communication can stay open and efficient. The voicing period lasts until the video goes up on YouTube.
- When a role is accepted and we connect on Discord, the VA will meet with the director to cover any questions/comments/concerns regarding the project. The director will give a more detailed project description and work with the VA to make sure they have all information necessary to complete the lines!
- If the project is cancelled at any point, the voice actor will be notified right away, and payment details will be discussed. This is not a binding contract, so it's expected that the director and VA could come to a reasonable agreement in the case the project were to be cancelled or postponed (shouldn't happen but just in case!!).
- Just because you get the role, does not mean you are directly entitled to payment. All lines must be completed and submitted before any payment is issued.

Voice Actor
BACKGROUND:
- Melody is Jatasi's younger sister. They both share three more younger siblings that are mentioned briefly. Their mother and Jatasi have been undergoing a custody battle over the kids, as Jatasi is a young adult and has her own place a few hours away from their mother's house. Jatasi was kicked out before she graduated, and Melody misses her older sister deeply.
- Despite the hardships of the situation, Jatasi tries to make sure she keeps things about the custody battle away from her younger siblings, but Melody knows enough to see that Jatasi is stressed and going through her own troubles as well.
PERSONALITY:
- Melody definitely rambles. She is fun-loving, and creative, and spontaneous. She is easily excited, frustrated, annoyed, etc. She's very, very expressive, especially around Jatasi. Melody loves to build her houses out of diamond blocks and any whacky, colorful blocks she can find. She loves cats and sheep and rabbits. Her favorite color is also pink, but she loves purples too.
- On the flip side though, she is easily frightened. She doesn't like dark caves or scary noises, and she has a decent fear of the Minecraft End due to its eerie nature. She does have a love for the Nether though, due to its "cute fat pigs".
VOICE REQUIREMENTS:
Melody is anywhere from 9 years old to 13 years old. She's definitely on the younger side and she doesn't fully understand a lot of what's happening around her, but she's enthusiastic to learn. She'll be needed a younger, feminine voice. I don't think she needs to sound exactly like a child though. I just need a VA that can sound easily excitable and is expressive with both happiness and fear. I'm generally open to interpretation, so if you have any good ideas of what you think she'd sound like, let me know! :)
Any accents are okay, except for like a heavy southern one (no y'all's please).
ALSO - please don't worry about having the most crisp microphone in this. Melody is talking through a headset/cheap microphone of some sort, so it would make total sense for the microphone to be a little weird. :]
