Project Overview

What is The Heir of Time? 

The Heir of Time is going to be an animated sci-fi, fantasy series where we follow a group of heroes as they adventure through a post-war galaxy plagued by corruption, suffering, and maybe...just a little bit of hope. 

The Heir of Time blends whimsical fantasy and hard sci-fi in order to make a thought-provoking story with a variety of themes along with a mystical, dangerous universe that constantly surprises you throughout. When The Heir of Time was originally envisioned back in late 2020, we could never have imagined that we'd be reaching the heights that we have now. The team has grown exponentially to 12+ passionate, hard-working individuals. Our team hosts a lot of talent such as editors, composers, voice actors, directors and so much more.

Requirements:

- If Voice Acting, a quality microphone with little to no background noise 

- Do at least 3 takes for every line.

- If voice acting, you are allowed to use editing on your voice (Voice filter/modification) but you must have a clear, unfiltered voice in your audition alongside it.

- Most roles will be that of Young Adults to Middle Age. So please audition within appropriate voice range. 13+ Only | 17+.

- Ability to get work tasked to you done in a timely manner.

- Willing to take criticism and have flexibility to do any redo's necessary.

- A simple means of communication via social media ie. Discord

- This is intended to be a LONG TERM project spanning multiple episodes and possibly seasons

  • Casting Call Finished

    Hey everyone, we'd just like to say a massive THANK YOU to all those who submitted their auditions. We've had some amazing talent and we're absolutely blown away. We received 500 total auditions, a number that seemed unfathomable when we originally envisioned this project. We'll be in touch soon with the stand out individuals from each of the roles for a call-back audition. Once again THANK YOU to everyone who submitted an audition, we cannot wait to share the final project with you!

  • Payment for Lead Roles! Deadline Delayed by One Day (13th)

    Good news! Due to an adjustment in our budget, we are now able to offer a $25 (USD) payment for our three main roles (Sel, Zac, Zodiac) for episode one. Prices for future episodes may vary. We are still a non-profit organization, but we felt strongly about compensating our actors for their hard work and are now in the position to do so! Additionally, we have delayed the deadline for these lead roles by one day, to March 13th (Sunday). Thank you once again for your continued support, we're excited to be nearing the end of auditions and to continue to hear your wonderful performances!

    Hey guys. Due to production deadlines we've had to pull the deadline forward for Sel, Zac and Zodiac to March 12th. Apologies for not getting this to you sooner. All other roles including any voice and animating submissions will continue on to the original deadline of April 15th.

Character Backstory:

At the far reaches of the Frontier Star System, a young elven woman dreams of a future far beyond the confinements of her small-town life. After taking a leap of faith, Sel finds that her dreams may just come true--along with the consequences of meddling in Galactic politics and ancient powers far beyond anything she could have ever imagined. For Sel to forge a future for herself and her friends, she'll need to adjust to an ever-changing universe where the concept of "heroes" is nothing more than a cautionary tale. Luckily, the galaxy wasn't anticipating her, either.

Personality:

When in battle, Sel's true self comes out, and her unwavering self-confidence is apparent in her abilities, fighting style, and demeanor. Her real test lies outside the battlefield, where she looks over her shoulder in a near-constant state of paranoia. Sel deeply cares about her public image and wants to prove herself as something more than a small-town girl: A Hero.

Character Backstory:

Years after a devastating war left the galaxy in shambles, Zac, a rookie soldier for the Xalgorian Military is stationed within the Frontier Star System to monitor any signs of hostility from the Elven military. Unbeknownst to him, other factions plot and scheme behind the scenes, awaiting the return of war. One day, Zac may need to decide whether his loyalties lie with his species or his friends. For now, though, he'd be happy just for something interesting to break up the monotony of his daily routine. Be careful what you wish for.

Personality:

Zac is the everyman, generally striving to do good where he can to support his species. Where Sel is more confident on the battlefield than off, Zac prefers to stay away from gunfights as much as possible, and may just cut and run if he feels he's in over his head. However, what he lacks in courage he makes up for in creative problem-solving and general charisma.

Cold, cruel, and calculated. There's only the mission.

The Heir of Time is an animated series and our current animators are working extraordinarily hard to produce extremely highly detailed, smooth looking animations. These animations can range from high intensity fight scenes to slow sultry character dialogue. 

Requirements:

- Experience and familiarity within Blender

- Ability to give progress reports along the way and work under deadlines

- Able to recognise criticism and adjust animations when necessary

- Willing to work within a team and communicate effectively
