Thank you to everyone who auditioned! You were all incredibly talented and I loved each one of your auditions! I really didn't expect so many people to audition for my lil uni assessment so it means a lot to me!
The Red Herring (Uni project)
Project Overview
Hiya! My names Jac and I'm currently an acting student based in Australia!
For one of our many assignments/major works, we have been given creative freedom to direct our own project with actors and as you can tell I'm scouting voice actors for my animated video that I'm going to use for this project!
Please note I am in NO WAY a professional writer this is simply something I have to work on in my course
I'll be acting as a mini-director for my grade since I'm graded on your performance so that's fun !!
Unfortunately this project is unpaid since I'm basically struggling financially with this course but regardless.
This won't go out to the public either just a few audience members but that's about it.
The pitch of the project is a femme fatale sort of deal like Bayonetta or Lara Croft kinda deal!
The scene I'll be animating is an angst/confrontational scene between the three characters.
The scene heavily revolves around Stacy (the main character) getting exposed for who she really.
It starts off with Stacy dragging Sasha (secondary character) into a building that happens to be owned by Estelle (our antag).
Stacy off the bat lies to Sasha about why they're breaking into the building in the first place. She claims it has something to do with her privacy when in reality it documents; an autopsy report of a woman she once knew that she doesn't want to get out to the public.
Once the two girls break in Stacy gets annoyed and sick of Sasha and suggests the two girls split up to which then leads to Sasha being found by Estelle and getting knocked out. It then cuts away to Stacy finding the documents and in a surprising turn of events starting to leave the premise without contacting Sasha in the first place. This is where we find out slowly about Stacy's true self.
Once Stacy's about to leave she is stopped by Estelle who holds her hostage Sasha with a gun towards her head. She gives Stacy two options; to give her the documents and let Sasha go or kill Sasha in trade for the documents. Sasha begs Stacy for her life exclaiming they have enough evidence for Estelle to be arrested unaware of her little deal with the law enforcers.
In a not so surprising by also surprising turn of events she chooses the second option to kill Sasha, this of course fits well into Estelle's plan. It's later then revealed that there were no bullets in the gun and that Estelle was using Sasha as a plot device to emotionally torture Stacy and break Sasha's trust with her.
Stacy drags Sasha out of the building with her in an attempt to fix whatever happened until Sasha stops causing Stacy to stop. Sasha then confronts Stacy about the whole incident that just happened. Stacy tries to lie her way out of it but Sasha cuts her off revealing (we see a flashback here) that Estelle told her everything about Stacy's past.
Of course there is more to the story but I just need to figure out how exactly to write the script hence the deadline!! its more for myself

Rainbow Lemonade
Stacy is the protagonist of the story.
Stacy is a vocalist who primarily works in local clubs and pubs she doesn’t wish to go viral or want fame, in fact, she has more than enough money to settle down but chooses not to.
To most, Stacy comes off as very serious and cold but getting to know her shows that she’s more than just a “resting bitch face”. However, she can come off as quite snappy and panicky at times however deep down Stacy is incredibly selfish.
Before becoming a vocalist Stacy was a con artist who worked under Estelle and 8 others, however, she didn’t go under the Stacy we know today.
It’s later revealed in the story that Stacy is a fake identity and little hits are presented in the animation that she’s not who she says she is, her real name being Victoria which becomes a key factor in the story later on.
it’s revealed later in the story that she killed the real Stacy and undertook her identity to go into hiding while faking a death under her original identity Victoria, despite this whole scenario she still lives in constant paranoia and is revealed later to be the main antagonist of the story if you will.

Leïla Yasmine
Estelle is the Antagonist of the story.
Estelle’s occupation is currently unknown but it’s believed it’s rather important to society considering she hosts a formal event later in the story.
Previously she was the leader of a con artist group which lead to her wealth and connections with the police which she bribed in order to live a normal life without any consequences.
She gained some fame however from her group for being the sole survivor of an incident that lead her group dead. 7 dead, 1 missing and one survived, this incident changed Estelle forever making her become the hunter in a cat-and-mouse game searching for Victoria, the reason why her group ceased existing.
It’s revealed later in the story that Estelle saw her group as a family and her motives in the story were nothing but to avenge her “family”. Hence her reasoning for wanting to kill Stacy as she finds out who she really is. This essentially makes Estelle the main protagonist instead of the latter

Sasha is the deuteragonist of the story.
Despite not looking the part Sasha is Stacy’s manager and her closet friend.
Sasha is incredibly intelligent despite not looking so, she has many connections and is able to get things the average person wouldn’t normally be able to get even through legal methods.
Sasha is however oblivious to Stacy’s past and her real identity, although she has kept her eye on her ever since she “changed”. She’s not an idiot she just really thought she wanted that 180* change in her life.
However when Stacy’s real identity is essentially revealed Sasha is completely heartbroken and her trust is gone with “Stacy”. Furthermore, she discovers the truth about what happened to the real Stacy.
This of course breaks the two's friendship with only Sasha being affected in the long run because Stacy simply doesn’t care.
Essentially Sasha begins to side with Estelle and wishes the worst upon “Stacy” however she can’t help but feel a little guilt for doing so because whoever this person is, she still had a connection with them.
