Project Overview
THE GHOUL GALS
“The Ghoul Gals” is about a rag-tag trio of paranormal investigators and ghost hunters in the mid to late 1920s. They get into hijinks in every episode, whether it be helping someone connect with a missing loved one, taking down a ghost gang that's harassing a rival ghost gang, or stopping what could be the literal devil from starting the apocalypse. No job is too big or too small for them. Trouble looms around the corner with the ongoing threat of their arch nemesis, The Projectionist, striking again. With the smarts of the leader and founder of the group, Tilly, the humor of her will they/ won't they crush Clark, and the strength of her best friend Minnie, you can bet the job will get done.

WHY IS IT LABELED NSFW
There will be scary gory moments as of course it is about the paranormal, and serious moments on certain subjects, a long with some cursing here and there.
WHAT IS THIS?
A mock radio drama broadcast show of my characters “The Ghoul Gals”! I say mock because it will actually be videos uploaded on Youtube of the “broadcast” audios.
REQUIREMENTS
Please have a good mic, and no background sound!! There will be lots of music and sound effects and a radio filter!! And you must be 18+.
HOW DO I PRONOUNCE TILLY'S LAST NAME
Everyone except for Clark and Minnie say it wrong. It's EH-MO-NADE. Like LEMONADE but without the L.

ABOUT
Tilly worked for the Zimington Post as a journalist before she got threatened with termination for having “boring stories” and showing up late constantly. Desperate to get her bosses good graces as she's given one last chance, she needs a new story that’s gonna bite. So she starts diving into stories most journalists in her town ignore.. Ghost stories. It starts off as her simply listening, but when she gets invited to come to this famous actresses house this ghost seems way more evil than any other ghost she's faced. She’s hooked and vows to help get rid of this ghoul. She gets her two best friends Clark and Minnie, who are also cryptid/ghost enthusiasts and off they went.
Tilly is the founder of the “Ghoul Gals-She’s been hot on The Projectionist’s trail ever since a bunch of mysterious ritualistic murders and hauntings popped up suddenly with no leads other than a “dapper ghostly fellow” and a bunch of silent film stars being brutally murdered. TP has been interested in getting her soul ever since he’s heard of her sending his ghosts back to “the great beyond”. Since she’s saved enough souls and helped them pass over, she and her friends have gained their own power through this. The power of everlasting youth! They will stay physically forever in their 20s just to put an end to the weird culty curse thing The Projectionist brought on the town. She says she’ll die when she’s certain he’s gone for good.
PERSONALITY
Tilly is very sharp mentally. And she knows she is. A very confident young lady. She's bubbly but she knows when to get serious, she is NOT overly bubbly, so please refrain from that. She's headstrong and not shy. She is calm also, and can have a playful undertone at times.
EXAMPLE: Nuts to that damn thing! Clark, grab the spirit box, Minnie get the salt. Or just stand there. That works too. Thank you! Now, if anybody who's in this room that isn't supposed to be in this room is still...well in this room...get out!!! Hey there ghost! We're kind of in a rush. So could you pretty pretty please just go to the great beyond and leave this mortal plane??? No..? Well I tried.
HER VOICE
Tilly has a transatlantic black accent. Her voice is mid-range, not too high or too low. When upset or happy, her voice gets higher. When serious, her voice deepens.

Or have her get flustered talking to Clark? Absolutely go for it. I’m all ears. Improv is always appreciated and helps in your consideration here, especially if it's funny, true to the character and you did your homework! I'd love if you could be as intense as you can. Just remember that she's sweet and playful, her voice is NOT super high. Please refrain from anything childish sounding.

Hi! Tilly Emonade here! No it's not EMO-NOD or EMMA-NOD. It's EH-MO-NADE! Like y'know?? Lemonade?? Felt like that was obvious.
Ease up, Minn. I know Clark can be a little woozy when he's on the gin, but I think tonight will be okay. He's a good talker, he's talked his way out of loads of stuff. Uhm..Besides, he's a little charming when he's drunk..So that'll probably help too..haha..
ABOUT HIM
Clark was a journalist and paparazzi photographer and uh..a salesman(BOOTLEGGER!!!) before joining the “Ghoul Gals”. He met Tilly after he shoved her out the way to get a good picture during a red carpet premiere.
Tilly wasn’t having his snarky attitude. Fist fight between them happened. Clark did not win. They went to jail together. Realized they could bust out, decided to do just that and “never talk to each other again after”. Well that was a lie. Because shortly after, he was begrudgingly buying her coffees and she was angrily throwing breakfast bagels into his arms. Always going “Ugh..Here..Don’t even say thank you just take it..” “Oh you’re so kind.” (Sarcastically).
This turned into a regular friendship after they “keep bumping into each other” and decided they shouldn’t be enemies anymore. So they decided on..frenemies.
PERSONALITY
Clark is a fake skeptic. He says thinks the ghost stuff is mumbo jumbo but honestly he believes in it probably harder than Tilly and Minnie. But he just has to let Tilly know that he thinks it's hooey. He always comes up with the “are you sure you didn’t just.. imagine that?” Questions. Or “logical” answers to things like “Yeah your furniture is probably floating because you didn’t strap it down. Furniture always does that yep.” He’s no nonsense until he wants to be playful and unserious...which unfortunately is all the time.
Clark does the spirit box talkin’. He figures they were once human no? Why not whip out the old charm and swoon on them as well? Most ghosts do enjoy a nice chat with him, but he honestly can get too annoying and then cause the ghosts to start attacking them. (unintentionally…)
Example: "Hey there uh..ghostie. You don't know me, uh.. I'm Clark. And y'know I just wanted to uh.." Clark sighs. "Alright I can't sit here and kiss your ass, you've been tormenting this girl for months. Surely you feel an ounce of remorse for causing her such terror? I'm gonna tell you now, either you reveal yourself now and start talkin' or we're gonna have some major problems. Who are you, huh?
HIS VOICE
Clark has a transatlantic accent. He's sleazy and Feel free to simply do your best Clark Gable impression or something similar. Especially from his role in "It Happened One Night". They truly just have the same voice.
YOU

ABOUT HER
Minnie was a sanitation worker and a part time bouncer. She got into ghosts when her brother got murdered simply for being a film star. She wants to connect with her brother, find who did it and finally put his weary soul to rest. Minnie has herself a girlfriend she cherishes, named Lina. (Tatted on her arm!) Lina is just as much of a ghost lover as Minnie. And while Minnie loves that she tries to help her contact her brother..It doesn’t really end up working.
Minnie became friends with Tilly but it wasn’t right away.
You see, they actually met after she threw Tilly out of a dance club for “partying too hard”. Tilly drunkenly stood off to the side, waiting for the bouncers to switch shifts so she could sneak back in. Well, just as she stood there, she’d actually seen someone coming from the back to stab Minnie. Tilly jumped in and shot the guy. Who was this mysterious attempted assassin? The Projectionist. He was shocked, but ultimately just laughed the bullet wound off before running away like a maniac. Minnie says she owes Tilly big time. Tilly said it was fine but Minnie insisted. Tilly said “Well why don’t you just be a friend of mine? And at least let me have one more drink.” and Minnie said okay.
Well..We know that Clark does the spirit box talkin’, Tilly takes the pictures and checks for clues, well what does Minnie do? Minnie actually catches the ghosts and sets the traps. She, similar to Tilly, usually carries a book with different ghost types and checks which one they’re dealing with based on clues. Then she gets the traps and rituals ready and ensures all exorcisms go smoothly.
PERSONALITY
Minnie is very serious and sarcastic, but underneath all that she's really soft and sweet. She can be very blunt at times and very literal. She's like the mom of the group. Clark is either getting them jumped and Tilly is too busy taking notes and planning an escape meanwhile, the answer is probably just jumping out of a window. Minnie is just as interested in the paranormal as her buddies.
Example: "Look sir. I'm not trying to pry, but honestly it seems like you called us here to bring your wife back from her ghostly slumber so you can..What? Yes. Okay "gaze upon her lovingly". We don't really do requests like that. Look man..We have a no ghostfuckers rule. Well I'm sorry?? Do you fuck ghosts?? You look like you fuck ghosts sir, I apologize!!"
HER VOICE
Minnie has a pretty deep voice for a woman, it can be gruff at times. She doesn't really have any accent I know of, but if you have any in mind, do give her one! I'd love any interpretation, just as long as things can be heard clearly for the audience's sake!

ABOUT HER
Eill (pronounced EEL) Tracy is a silent film actress, currently being haunted by an awful ghost in her home, She's called priests, she's called exorcists, she even told the cops. When she saw Tilly's story in the paper she knew she had to contact her as she may be her last hope.
PERSONALITY
While she's normally very happy and sweet, she's very on edge this time. She feels like she's gone borderline mad, so she may spook easily or go on a ramble about the ghost in her house.
HER VOICE
Silent film actors were known for not being able to progress to talkies due to their accents being unintelligible. Feel free to give her a thick one or a silly one, but nothing that's too unintelligible as audiences still need to be able to understand what you're saying! I imagine her with a bit of a Lina Lamont voice from Singin' in The Rain, but the world is your oyster.

I don't know..This started months ago..I do keep seeing a face in my peripheral vision. Young, dapper fellow.. But everytime I try to look at him better, he disappears.
Say I'm crazy and I'll rip your head off!! I am NOT crazy!! OR am I?? Oh goodness, have I gone mad?!
NO! You're all not understanding. This blood.. It keeps coming back. No matter how many times the maids clean it, or I clean it, or anybody!! It just keeps leaking and leaking!! At first I thought someone had been murdered and stuffed in my wardrobe but.. there's nothing in there.. It's empty!! So I thought maybe someone moved the body, I told the cops but when they came it was all GONE!! It always disappears when I try to show someone. Which is why I think it's a ghost. My husband thinks I'm crazy, my friends think I'm loony, PLEASE YOU'RE MY LAST HOPE!!
ABOUT HER
Lina is the girlfriend of Minnie!
PERSONALITY
Very bubbly and bouncy. She's curious and easily excited. Loves Minnie and all of her friends. She too is a paranormal enthusiast.
HER VOICE
Very high and bubbly. But also very soft spoken. If you wanna give her an accent go for it. Just like with the others, make sure it can be intelligible for the audience!!

He was the only guy to hire poor Tilly in this town. She won't let him down! Or will she? He's very close to firing her.
PERSONALITY
He doesn't believe in Tilly that much. Given her circumstances and the time they live in, he thinks she better stop day dreaming and live in reality.
HIS VOICE
I imagine he has a southern accent or a new york...Either will work!
