The Frosty Witchcraft School (Minecraft Animation Series)
Project Overview
We’re in a Minecraft world where mobs are intelligent and civil—they live in towns, have jobs, families and everything. Monsters and villagers live in peace next to each other. However, they have not completely lost their instincts… and humans trigger these instincts a lot. So when Tom, as the first human ever, enrols at the Frosty Witchcraft School to learn some magic, his monster classmates react in… interesting ways. (Including bullying him. A lot.)
Basically, this series is made up of complex character arcs (and way too many main characters), and has a ton of little mysteries to find!
Please do not audition if you do not respect any and all human rights. This series discusses topics that may be offensive or discomforting to some people. These are: Death, genocide, torture, PTSD, nihilism, analogies to people “eating” light, and mocking analogies to religion.

💵 You will be paid profit share as well as a small amount up-front!
IMPORTANT NOTES
We do up-front payment as a minimal compensation, the profit share is considered the main income. You only get paid profit share once the amount originally paid up-front is made up for. You will be required to use a Wise account in order to receive up-front payment.
With the current budget, we can afford to produce a new episode every 2-3 months. However, depending on how many people we can get to help out, actual production might still take a while longer. You will be paid and credited for your work until the project has been completed or abandoned.

We are looking for someone who can adapt the English animation to the German localisation (timing, lip-sync, and sometimes extra animations). You are required to work with Mine-Imator, specifically the Anniversary Update (which you can find here).
You will be paid 5% DE profit share and €60 per episode. Please apply with examples of your translation work and an explanation of why you see yourself suited for the job.

We are looking for a native English speaker who is proficient in the German language and willing to translate the original German script into international English (British spelling but no regional terms). You are required to work with Google Docs. You need to be familiar with Minecraft vocabulary and mechanics as well.
You will be paid 10% EN profit share and €10 per page (~250 words). Please apply with examples of your translation work and an explanation of why you see yourself suited for the job.

We are looking for an artist with good grasp of blocky 3d space who can draw a simple storyboard. You will be given a shotlist and the script as guidance. You MUST be familiar with movie vocabulary such as “head on shot”, “choker close up”, “upright triangle“, etc. Can be digital or traditional (only scans are accepted). You are NOT required to make an animatic.
You will be paid 5% EN + DE profit share and €1 per panel. Please apply with example storyboards and an explanation of why you see yourself suited for the job.

We are looking for someone to cut out silence, mistakes, etc. from the voice actors’ recordings so that only the good takes remain. You are NOT responsible for deciding on the final takes. For easier cooperation, you are required to use Kdenlive.
