PLOT:
This is a dramatic and suspenseful animated short film set in a cozy yet mysterious bar. The story unfolds in a seemingly ordinary establishment where the staff, a close-knit group, faces unexpected challenges with the arrival of a new, enigmatic owner. As the team navigates the changes and heightened scrutiny, secrets are revealed, alliances are tested, and hidden agendas come to light.
The series begins with a glimpse into the daily lives and relationships of the bar's staff, each character bringing their unique personality and struggles to the forefront. Maya, the warm-hearted and reliable bartender, leads the team, while her brother Jett provides comic relief and energy. Leo, the charismatic waiter, and Lyra, the diligent and somewhat reserved barista, round out the core group. Tensions rise when Claire, a diligent and nervous new waitress, makes a mistake, leading to a high-stakes review from the new owner, Mr. Hale. Hopefully this doesn't dissolve into a dark mayhem that cannot be undone...

no. there was only ai used to create the art for the cover as a placeholder until the cover is finished (for scheduling reasons) i can assure you all voice actors and animation are done completely live :)

yes! this entire film will be completely storyboarded and then animated once VAs are in place.

Maya is the manager of Eclipse Lounge, responsible for overseeing the staff and ensuring the bar runs smoothly. Passive-Aggressive, Responsible, Meticulous. She's the manager of the bar. Even though she can be very critical, she's overall a very organized and reliable person.
Character Role: LEAD
Voice Description: A medium voice range. Clear and precise enunciation. She's usually polite with the customers unless they piss her off. Mostly sarcastic when she's talking to her friends / co-workers.
(To customer) I am so sorry miss. We will remake your drink on the house immediately. (Back to her staff) Okay that’s enough. (She yells out) STAFF MEETING. IN THE KITCHEN. NOW. JETT PLEASE TAKE ORDERS WHILE WE ARE GONE.
) It’s fine… Look, I overhead the new owner speaking last night. They’re planning to make big changes, maybe even replace some of us. We can’t afford to screw up. We’ve worked too hard for this place to go under.
(Taking a deep breath, her voice slightly trembling) I… I’ve been meaning to tell you something important. I’ve been feeling this way for quite some time, and it’s been hard to keep it to myself.

Character Information: Claire is one of the main waitresses at the Eclipse Lounge. Whimsical, Expressive, Sensitive. Has a slight crush on Leo and it's quite obvious. Subtlely jealous when Leo's flirting with other girls. Quite an empath and a little clumsy with handling her tasks. She is hardworking and vibrant. Claire is a very outspoken and vivacious girl who isn’t afraid to speak her mind. She can be sassy at times, but also truly cares about her work, and is slightly hard on herself.
Voice Role: Secondary Lead
Voice Description: Medium to High. A soft and gentle tone of voice which soothes the ear.
Leo, are you gonna wait the tables like you’re being paid to do? Or are you just gonna flirt with the customers.
.(Crying, Embarrassed, Panicked) Oh my god Claire… What the fuck are you doing. You’re a fucking mess…

Character Information: Leo is a charming and flirtatious waiter at Eclipse LoungeFlirtatious, Sort of laid back but still gets the job done, Pretentious, Playful. He likes to joke around during work and is well-liked by his co-workers.
Role: Secondary Lead
Voice Description: Medium-Low (I'm open to most voice types so just go for it), almost playful with a slight hint of a deeper tone when he's serious (he isn't).

(Interupting her, slightly annoyed) But why the radio silence Claire? I mean especially after our last conversation- (pause, calming himself) I expected to hear something from you..
(Standing back up) It’s a secret recipe, but I’ll give you a hint: it’s a perfect blend of sweet and strong, just like you seem to be.
(His voice more sincere) Claire… I’m not just trying to mess with you. I like you. But I think I’ve been going about it all wrong.

Character Information: Authoritative, Perfectionist, almost resembles Gordon Ramsey. Overreacts during minor inconveniences, isn't very well liked by anyone.
Role: Antagonist.
Voice Description: Medium to Low. A commanding and sharp tone of voice which pierces through the ear. Incredibly loud when he's trying to prove a point. Think of the teacher you hated most.
(Scoffs, with a hint of frustration) Very well. If you think you can do better elsewhere, then so be it. But remember, the clock is ticking. Time will tell if your ideals will stand the test of reality. (He turns and leaves)
Oh. I thought it was time to see how the staff is managing without you. As you know, we’ve been making adjustments to ensure the bar's success. It seems that my vision for this place includes not just cost-cutting, but also a shift in the bar's direction.

Voice Description: Medium to High. Very sweet sounding, thoughtful.
(Nervously) Oh, um, I just needed a change of pace. Plus, I’ve always liked the idea of working somewhere with a bit of charm.

Voice Description: Any range (High-Medium). A warm and gentle tone of voice. Super Polite.

Voice Description: High-Medium. Loves teasing his sister while at work. Lighthearted and engaging tone of voice while talking to anyone.

Role: Minor (Appears once but has some lines)
Voice Description: Medium to High. Confident and Bold with a touch of playful attitude. Straight forward while delivering her opinions.
(Smiling) Yes, it is. I’ve heard a lot about this place.
(Chuckling) You make it sound as if I always come alone. Well to be honest I was going to go out with a friend of mine, but he canceled last minute so I figured I might as well still get a drink.
(Giggling, flustered, slightly embarrassed) Oh stop it, you’re gonna make me blush.

Consultant: But sir… Won’t that alienate some of the bar’s regulars? They come to the Eclipse Lounge for the unique experience. You can’t find it anywhere else.
