The Crow-Marrow Experience Voice Actors Round 2
Project Overview
Welcome to the second Casting Call for voice actors in The Crow-Marrow Experience!
The Crow-Marrow Experience is a work-in-progress audio drama created by Titanic Bee. It entails two roommates, Bone Marrow and Scarecrow, struggling to create a successful in-universe podcast, The Crow-Marrow Experience. Things don't go exactly as they expect, however, and the guests they bring on every episode pose increasingly challenging conversations and sometimes deeply interpersonal discussions, all the while the hosts do their best to maintain a positive image and mindset.
This is the second Casting Call I have set up. Though the script-writing part of the project is not yet complete, three of eight planned scripts have been completed, and the fourth I will begin work on soon. The three completed scripts are linked at the bottom of this document. Over the first CC, I didn't quite obtain an audition for every character. Typically, I like having lines recorded over live table reads through Discord, which is difficult to do if not every character is available. I am setting this up prematurely for future ease of production.
Despite this, some roles are present in scripts that have already been completed and I would be accepting remote recordings of immediately following your casting. Said roles will be marked as such and organized to be at the top of the list. *Although Episode 3 has a completed script, it was completed very recently, and I plan to organize a table read shortly after this CCC's deadline.
I can work over Casting Call or email if such is truly necessary, however I do the majority of my work with people using Discord and Google Drive, so if you are cast, I will likely look to work with you there. If you cannot, please specify.
Currently, I am not in a position to guarantee anyone any sort of pay. However, if I come into a source of financial aid, and I would absolutely love to compensate all who are cast when possible for me!

Ford is a socially awkward writer who is currently studying the planet of Earth. He is wise, but struggles to get this wisdom across in a professional manner. Not looking for anything too extravagant here, a relatively masculine voice that outwardly expresses a little bit of social inadequacy would be perfect.

Glove is the Softnovan raised former police officer and current member of The Space Stragglers. She is confident but sensitive, and much of the second episode is spent dealing with her past and present self. She should sound vibrant and sweet, but not overbearingly so. A lot of her lines are inherently emotional ones, so I recommend either preparing for such or reading over the script before auditioning to make sure you'd be ready.

Hudson is the mediator of The Space Stragglers, and a human from Earth misplaced in the middle of galactic conflict. Burdened by his traumatic past and stressful present life, he could be described as depressed. He should sound like he's been through a lot, not necessarily old or wise, but damaged. Otherwise have a relatively standard male voice.

Psida is a part-reptilian crime boss and current member of terrorist organization, The Space Stragglers. He is harsh, hurtfully honest, and operates for himself and himself only. Everything he says should have a bit of an edge to it, an almost teenage-like air of angst and condesension. My friend insisted I use the analogy of Shadow The Hedgehog.

RadioHed is a socially awkward drifter who is amidst financial and social ruin. He does his best to find stable footing, but is constantly dragged into abusive work conditions and can't seem to find anyone who enjoys his company or anywhere to stay. He should sound constantly nervous or otherwise on edge, he deeply fears pretty much everything as everything up to this point in his life has done him wrong. A relatively high pitched but still recognizably masculine voice would be ideal. Also, an old radio voice filter effect would be great, but is by no means required and I can always add that in the audio engineering stages.

Hyp Nosis is the CEO of the intergalactic company known as Kartoonz, and one of the most wealthy and secretly malicious forces in the local galaxy. He should typically sound very bubbly and excited, but with a false corporate facade kind of energy. A little bit of dryness to his words to make him sound a bit more aged and less overbearingly cartoony would be perfect. However, considering the whole thing is a facade, I also want you to be able to drop the voice, not necessarily in pitch but in tone, to match whenever it is he's being himself and not his brand.

You better not talk to me like that again. Cuz' I will do anything, and I mean anything, to protect my brand.
Shopkeeper Satan is one of three Satans remaining after the Great Godly/Satanic War. He operates the economy of the underworld. Largely, he travels to various planets within the Velociraptor and sells various trinkets and food items to unassuming passerby. He should sound carefree, bubbly and charming, if a bit aged. It should be a voice that's comedically juxtaposed of the context that usually surrounds Satan. I almost feel like a light Russian accent may also suit the character, though such is not required.

Monocot is a lunatic pineapple scientist fascinated with biology who founded "the scientists" and now spends the majority of his time performing ridiculous biological experiments and arguing with people on the internet. I'm imagining a stereotypical "mad scientist" sort of voice, but a bit less tacky, a little younger sounding, but still showing an absurd amount of energy. Should be very high-pitched, and a bit scratchy.

Byarkha is the figurehead of a religion that was once prosperous, but has, in recent times fallen into obsolescence. With this, its primary life force of faith has been stripped away, and it lives a life of constant agony. It fears the fading of time and it fears the pain it feels will only instill more doubt into the few followers it has left. Byarkha should sound strained, emotional, and fearful. It would help a lot to apply some sort of distortion vocal filter here, although this is not required and I can easily add in the audio engineering phase. More than anything for Byarkha, don't hold anything back. This will be a very intense role.
