The Blind Girl

Faith Gray is the main character this roleplay is revolved around. She is a young, sweet, shy, teen Sophomore in High School and currently attends Springfield High in Spring Hills. While Faith looks relatively normal on the outside to her new classmates and friends, she hides her flaws, flaws that have negative side effects on the way she views herself and her mental health. She fails to realize she is still fully able to be bullied even without her flaws showing and faces off with Springfield High's most popular, stereotypical mean girl. Faced with a multitude of problems, past and present, Faith learns to step up and out of her comfort zone in order to have her voice heard and to become a leader. 

Brandon Gray is Faith's slightly older, overbearing, protective brother. He enjoys sports, helping people, hanging out with his friends or family and is always down for a movie. Ever since Faith was bullied, Brandon has made it his job to look after and protect Faith from any harm or danger. He tends to baby his little sister out of love and kindness but fails to realize as her older brother that she finds him too overprotecting at times. When they transfer schools and start attending Springfield High, he is quick to tell her classmates to look out for her but doesn't tell them why. Though he loves and cares for his little sister, this he is also her worst downfall when her nemesis is quick to develop a major crush on him.

Meadow Meyers is and has been Faith's best friend since they were both little. Meadow is a shy girl and is often teased for being small and nerdy. She loves studying and always puts her grades before anything else, including her health. When Meadow suddenly collapses from a heart attack in Middle School, she's diagnosed with a health problem that could very well take her life and soon controls it. Much like Faith, Meadow attempts to forget about her health state and continue with her life as if she's perfectly okay. When Faith moves away in High School, Meadow is stuck alone to be torn to pieces by her bullies missing her best friend and wishing she could have been given the chance to rewrite her story.

Rose Ryan is the first friend Faith ever makes at Springfield High. Rose is known for her upbeat, happy go lucky, and curious personality. She's always one to get into mischief and drag her friends into it as well but she's never hated on for just wanting to know more. Though not knowing Faith's secretive blindness, she carries on being happy and carrying the positive attitude she's known for and keeps a smile on her face even in the darkest of times.

Caitlin McCarthy is another close friend of Faith's and the one Faith mostly seeks advice from with her mature mindset. Caitlin loves anything and everything sports related and is a huge athlete. As a Sophomore, she managed to become the captain of Springfield High's Girls' Varsity Soccer, Track, Basketball and Tennis teams. Even with a busy schedule, she stays on top of her work and is able to manage her school life with her athletic life and social life. Caitlin is never one to judge and typically tries to contain Rose's curiosity and adventures. 

Sebastian King is Faith's closest guy friend beside her brother but tends to come off as rude, cocky and a huge jerk at a first glance. At first, Faith is wary about Sebastian but when she sees how vulnerable he is to his strict father's commands, she starts seeing him as a fragile puppy who needs someone to listen and understand him. She starts believing Sebastian is a misunderstood person who's quickly judged by the whole school but when she uncovers a secret about why he's hated so much, she thinks his whole "nice guy act" was just to trick her. Sebastian tends to push people away who get close to him but feels comfortable around Faith before realizing he's started developing a crush on her but tries to deny it. Sebastian cares for Faith more than anyone and puts her needs before his own making him an easy target for Faith's enemies.

Mitchell Smith is not the typical jock type but is generally teased by his friends about being too much like a stereotypical, popular jock. It is true he loves sports and is a football player, star quarterback, but he is not a meathead or overly cocky in the slightest. He likes to brag a little bit about his accomplishments to his friends but doesn't go so far as to take all of the credit and insists it was a team effort. He cares about sports and a college scholarship thanks to football but cares way more about his friends and teammates. Secretly, Mitchell has a huge crush on Rose for her outgoing, curious, upbeat personality but keeps this to himself out of fear she doesn't feel the same way about him, only consulting Sebastian about his crush.

Evan Stephens is a very artistic person and loves anything with expression and emotion. He generally expresses himself through his art which includes painting, music, drawing or even writing songs. He's a very closed off person until he meets Faith and starts opening up to her when he sees she's a good listener. He spends the majority of his time in Springfield High's courtyard where he can be found sitting under a tree writing or drawing. He's a generally quiet, shy, private person.

Side Note About This Character: I am looking for a secondary VA for this role, I have a primary VA but his schedule is very jam-packed so for reassurance, the Staff and I want to hire a backup VA in case the primary VA is unable to record his lines for whatever reason.

Zachary Stone is a huge flirt and a ladies man. He hits on every girl he sees, including the mean girls of Springfield High. This sometimes irritates his friends because since he hits on every girl, he hits on every girl, even his own friends. He tends to overdo the jokes and pick up lines with his lady friends but always is quick to apologize or he gets a couple hundred punches. He doesn't even mind the rumors spread about him since he knows they're all true and just owns them. He's not the most mature of the group, but is definitely the biggest person to own his fails and mistakes.

Vanessa O'Neal is the typical, rich, brunette-haired, dark blue-eyed, mean girl and the leader of the Jaguars, the meanest girls at Springfield High. She's definitely not all bark though. Her daddy gives her anything she wants to make his little princess happy. With her wits, minions and cunning yet persuasive ways, it's not a wonder she is so easily the Queen of Springfield High but with every ruler, there comes a new challenger. When Faith arrives, Vanessa quickly feels threatened by her and worries her reputation as the meanest, most popular girl at Springfield High will be destroyed if she doesn't get rid of Faith. After an accidental run-in with Faith, she sets off to destroy Faith's life. She will do anything and everything to dispose of Faith, but takes the rivalry too far. 

Sharon Back is Vanessa's number one minion and ultimately does anything and everything she's asked to in order to keep her place in the ranks. Sharon is smart and very well could get straight A's in all of her classes if she very well pleased but she likes her spot in the rankings and being feared much to her parent's disappointment. In order to stay Vanessa's number one minion her GPA and grades suffer from her poor choice. In her mind, Sharon knows she's doing the wrong thing but tells herself being popular is much better than being smart. Doing everything Vanessa orders of her leads Sharon to cause a terrible accident that will forever haunt her dreams.

Tia Stevens is Vanessa's second minion and ultimately the dumbest girl anyone can and will ever meet in their life. She's not exactly the smartest person alive and says a lot of dumb things as well as asks stupid questions but she does have good ideas from time to time and is very useful to Vanessa which is why she keeps her around. Tia is the only one aware of Sharon's secret smarts but keeps the secret because she can never remember it which relieves Sharon. Tia and Sharon are always fighting which annoys Vanessa almost to the point where she replaces them but never does. When Sharon and Vanessa go too far, only Tia knows the truth.

Principal Anderson is the principal of Springfield High. She's around 30 years old and is the only one at Springfield High who knows about Faith's past but mistakenly doesn't put Faith's files in her locked cabinet. Instead, Faith's files are kept with every other student's files, leaving them guarded only by her secretary.

Mr. Cooper is the Sophomore English teacher. He is very strict and hates when students don't do their homework assignments.

Mr. Burton is the Sophomore Geometry teacher. He's very calm and collected and tries to work with students who are struggling in his class.

Mrs. Brewer is the Sophomore History teacher and loves giving her class lectures and talking in general. She's a very chatty type of person and often is seen outside of her classroom in the hallway or in the Cafeteria chatting with her students.

Ms. Castillo is the Spanish 1 teacher at Springfield High and her teaching methods are often called odd. As soon as class begins, she starts talking in rapid Spanish, expecting her students to try and make out what she's saying to them.

Side Note About Auditioning For This Character: You must be able to speak English to a point where any number of the staff can understand you and a fair amount of Spanish(that should just be obvious considering this role is for a Spanish teacher).

Mr. Miller is the Sophomore's Science teacher and loves letting his students learn by doing. He's known for his crazy labs he makes his students do and his funny personality.

Faith's Dad is a very understanding man, he wants his son and daughter to be happy and grow up to be kind, understanding people. He hates when his children are mistreated and when he got his new job opportunity, he jumped on it straight away in order to bring Faith to a new school to give her a fresh restart. 

Faith's Mom is very overprotective of both Faith and Brandon, only wanting what is best for her children but tends to overshadow them, especially Faith. Faith, understandingly, loves her mom and knows she wants to protect her but her mom could also be the reason she's never able to live a relatively normal life.

This role is specifically for finding extra VAs in case something happens to a primary VA and they are unable to record their lines for any reason. Secondary VAs will be called in by either the owner or a co-owner who will tell them what character they're filling in for and their lines with the due date and time.
