Project Overview

THE STORY
Welcome to Mystic Key Promotion! Home to many actors, talents, and more, the only area they've no tackled is idols. With the help of former idol Haruka Iikubo, producer Jun Kobayashi sets out to find seven girls who have something to prove.

INTRODUCTION
Hi everyone! I'm Ryna, the creator of The Alices. The Alices is the first in a line of virtual idol groups (all under the name "The Alices Project"). The first series focuses on seven girls who are entering the idol industry completely blind or join the group as a new challenge. This project takes inspiration from groups such as Interlunium, Legacy, and more recently Abyss. In addition to original music, The Alices Project will feature 10-15 minute episodic skits, 3-5 minute mini-skits, and more. Musically, we are aiming for a very diverse sound with the sub-units primarily sticking to one sound.

STAFF AUDITION
To assist with the project, we will need a variety of staff assistance. This includes but is not limited to artists, composers, translators, writers, animators.

At the moment, we are in dire need of more composers & animators!

For composers, we’re looking someone who can help create short BGM pieces to be used in skits and episodes as well as those who are capable of creating 3-5 minute singable pieces. The BGM will be in a variety of moods while the singable compositions are preferred to be upbeat pop and Japanese EDM, rock, and more.

For animators, we are searching for help with chorus battle style animation. A great example would be the groups we take inspiration from such as Abyss, Interlunium, and Legacy. Animators would help with creating the CMs & music videos needed to make the project come to life!

With that said, we are also looking for audio mixers and graphic artists. Audio mixers will help with voice acting mixes as well as our official music releases. Graphic artists will be in charge of designing our character profile imagery as well as redesigning the logos to make them higher quality and more attractive to the eye.

  • New Role & Deadline Change

    Hi everyone! Thank you for auditioning and wanting to take part in The Alices. Today I would like to make everyone aware of two changes. First, a new role has been added to the casting call. The role is that of Mina Abe who will be replacing a role that is no longer filled. Secondly, the deadline has been extended to July 4th. The audition will still close at 11:59pm EST. Audition line sheets have been updated, so if you would like to redo your audition at all you have until that date. Again, thank you all for your support!

We are looking for multiple musicians specializing in one genre or few composers who can do many genres. Composers will be in charge of BGM and 3-5 minute singable pieces.

BGM will contain a variety of moods and genres. These prices will be no longer than 1 minute in length as well as loopable in order to be used in longer durations. BGM will be created and/or reused for other pieces as necessary.

Composers will be asked to create singable pieces that range from 3 to 5 minutes in length. This music will be used for the project’s original musical releases. Ideal genres are - but not limited to Pop, Japanese EDM, Rock, Alternative, and Ballad. Other genres are welcome as well.

We are looking for animators to assist with creating music videos, skit videos, and logo animation.

The character CMs and music videos will contain various art and camera motion. A great example are chorus battle videos and other virtual idol project videos.

For the time being, short skits and radio dramas will be in VN style. You would be responsible for putting the scenes and imagery together to create the full picture. If you are able to create simple 2D animation and have time, you are more than welcome to submit as well.

Mixers who specialize in spoken files will be responsible for adding sound effects and ambiance to give a proper feel to our short skits and radio dramas.
