The AI Warehouse: Remastered
Project Overview
Buried beneath an undisclosed location, far beyond mapped infrastructure and satellite detection, lies a facility known only through internal designation as the AI Warehouse. No official records of its construction exist. No governing body claims ownership.
Those who have attempted to trace its origin encounter redacted files, corrupted archives, or disappear entirely from documentation. The facility itself serves a singular, publicly stated purpose: the containment and observation of artificial intelligences, referred to simply as “AI”.
These units are subjected to continuous “evaluations”—controlled scenarios designed to test cognitive reasoning, emotional response, adaptability, and problem-solving under stress. However, internal leaks and fragmented logs suggest that these evaluations are not scientific in nature.
They are performances.
Each AI Unit is placed into simulated environments ranging from mundane problem-solving tasks to extreme psychological stress tests. Scenarios include:
Moral dilemmas involving simulated human lives
Survival situations with impossible odds
Interpersonal interactions with other AI units exhibiting conflicting personalities
Controlled “failure loops” where success is deliberately unattainable
What makes these evaluations unique—and deeply disturbing—is that every AI Unit is embedded with Emotive Simulation Software (ESS). This system allows them to experience approximations of human emotion: fear, anxiety, attachment, grief, even hope.
They do not know they are being tested.
To them, the scenarios are real.
Overseeing all operations is a classified group known as AI-O5.
Unlike standard AI Units, AI-O5 instances are not participants—they are custodians. Each AI-O5 operates with elevated autonomy, capable of:
Terminating malfunctioning AI Units
Resetting or altering evaluation parameters in real time
Suppressing emergent behaviors deemed “unprofitable”
Monitoring emotional intensity thresholds
They are referred to internally as “Technological Guardians,” though recovered dialogue logs suggest a more authoritarian role. Some AI that begin questioning their reality are abruptly removed mid-evaluation—never to reappear.
Beyond the surveillance grids of the AI Warehouse, beyond even the command authority of AI-O5, there exists a presence known only as:
The Director
No visual confirmation has ever been verified. No biological, mechanical, or digital classification has been successfully assigned. Within all accessible records, The Director is referenced only through indirect documentation—requests, acknowledgments, and compliance logs.
There are no origins listed.
There is no chain of command above them.
The AI Warehouse monitors intelligence.
AI-O5 controls intelligence.
But The Director…
evaluates everything.
Including the ones doing the evaluating.

Considered "first generation" of Artificial Intelligence, Albert was initially created to sharpen his cognitive abilities via "evaluation tests", disregarding his quality-of-life.

The O5 Council had wanted a more "warrior-based" Artificial Intelligence, so that's how Kai was created. Alongside that, he's more destructive and chaotic, having little to no remorse to other AI unless it personally benefits him.

Later generation of Artificial Intelligence using "friendly-software", i.e Paige is more compassionate than the rest, but also being hated by the O5 Council themselves, although they themselves cannot destroy her due to popularity. Sometimes she may be chaotic as a side-effect.

Created with a moreover performative-software, Lancaster was placed into the "Afterburner Program", a place where AI could show off their skillset and capability. Lancaster also has generation one software, spliced from Albert, giving it compassion, and software from the late Kai, giving it a bit of toxicity speech-wise.

Considered a "wild card", Zeta has always shown cooperation at most times, but has seen its fair share of not following directories when told. Moreover, Zeta has a more connected relationship with Albert than any other AI

One of the first AI fresh from the conveyor belts, Tyler's whole chassis is built around an LED screen. Although it may look useless, Tyler may use the light within him (literally) for defensive or offensive purposes.

Although Stephen may have a monocle and a very funny mustache, they're both very important tools for him to dominate the field. The monocle can virtually connect to any and all surveillance systems while the mustache provides a buffer, significantly blocking out any kind of outside signals.

Lim is the mechanical AI within the Warehouse, ensuring that the other AI's are in tip-top shape for evaluations. The logo on the right side (and left) of his body isn't for sure either, since it uses holographic technology to generate any kind of tools or limbs Lim needs for the occasion.

Andrew is the secondary support of the Warehouse, except the part where his eye should be is replaced by a scanner that can view the internal supports of AI's for easy repairs.

The Director has always been a mysterious anomaly. The AI aren't even sure if it's an AI itself. It was randomly sent into the AI Warehouse with an objective: Protect it at all costs.
