Terraglyph
Project Overview
Hello everyone! My name is Timmy Larks, and I am the lead developer for Terraglyph. About a year ago I began casting for roles in my project, and I was very pleased with the results! Due to several actors being unable to complete their recordings, I have decided to re-cast those roles.
Terraglyph is a single-player, turn based fantasy RPG with fourteen playable characters. Each character's script has around ninety 1 - 5 second long 'quips'. These quips are played during the 'battle scenes' of the game when the player issues commands or the characters interact with the foes or each other.
I am very laid back concerning exactly when I require the recordings to be completed, but I would like to have all recording wrapped up and complete by June 2018.

Rejection Feedback
Something I completely forgot about was the limited messages this website allows per month. Unfortunately there is no way for me to message each actor individually like I had hoped. However, I would still love to offer feedback to you if you are willing to reach out to me on other forms of media! Feel free to stop by our official discord server and drop me a line, I wold love to hear from you. -
Shortlisting soon!
Wow! I think it's safe to say that I did not expect to see so many AMAZING auditions! Over 100 in less than three days?! I sure have my work cut out for me, haha! Each weekend, I'll be adding people to the shortlist, and when the project's deadline is up (Feb 1st) I'll officially cast each character's role. I want everyone to know, that I truly feel that every single one of your auditions is amazing and talented, and I feel truly special that so many incredible actors have taken an interest in my project. Also, keep an eye out for a casting call in the future that will be... villain-themed...
Gernald is a gruff, older man. Years of sailing over the salty seas have given him a gritty "piratey" voice. I feel that any accent could work for Gernald, so feel free to try something different (nothing wrong with a little Jack Sparrows, but he's not the only pirate out there remember!)
"Gernald is a simple man. He stays out of all this “magic” stuff and usually solves his problems by smashing them. Aside from waking up with a mouthful of sand on a shore nearly a year ago, he has no recollection of the past. Gernald has become obsessed with his past life, and is determined to discover who he really is. With his gut intuition, Gernald has surmised that he was once a sailor or pirate of some sort, but is not certain on any details. Aside from the torment of feeling like a lost soul, Gernald is plagued by voices that only he can hear. Sometimes they are quiet, and sometimes they become roaring, but they never go away. He never knows what the voices are saying, they speak in a language he’s never heard. They could be speaking to him, about him, to each other, to someone else, to something else… So, understandably, Gernald has begun to let his sanity slip like wind through tattered sails."
Bilgerats on the Portside!
Let’s all set three sheets to the wind!
They never knew what hit their poop deck, harhar!
Jillian is a young woman who has recently discovered her true calling. She is supportive and kind, and puts a lot of effort into being a good source of encouragement.
We can do this!
Put some pep in your step!
We should start a band!
Ah-ha! A challenge!
My discipline is iron!
Break yourself on my body!
Everyone, get behind me!
They’ll have to get through me first.
*sigh* I’m getting too old for this.
The Whirlwind in an Overconfident martial artist. He sometimes refers to himself in third-person, is loyal to a fault, and not good at first impressions. He thinks of himself as the main protagonist, as well as the epitome of the perfect lady's man (spoiler alert, he's not). The Whirlwind is not smart, but neither is he a buffoon. Some grammar and phrases are intentionally incorrect to better reflect The Whirlwind’s dedication to action and his opposition to thinking before speaking.
I've overestimated you for the last time!
Did you fall from heaven? Because you look like a demon!
I taught myself everything I know!
On the surface, Xilef (Zee-leff) is a fairly simple character concept. They are an aspiring assassin, overexcited and overjoyed at the thought of becoming the world's best and most well-known stealthy killer.
This situation could use more stabbing!
The silent assassin strikes again! YEAH!
*deeper voice, imitating a narrator* Our intrepid hero stalks his prey...
Hart is an outdoorsman who is a little annoyed with the way his life is going, and he has a difficult time keeping his grievances to himself. Most of his dialog comes through clenched teeth, but he is generous with kindness whenever interacting with animals.
"Hart is gifted when it comes to communicating with animals. No, he cannot literally speak with animals, but he does seem to have an uncanny affinity for animals.
Trouble always seems to have followed Hart. Any decision Hart makes usually concludes with an ending he was not expecting, and not in a good way. Most recently, he was placed in a situation in which he needed to make a split decision; animals he was familiar with were being placed under duress by royal officials. Should he turn away and forget what he saw, or intervene and come under the crosshairs of the law? That was three years ago and he’s still an outlaw."
Let nothing go to waste.
A disgusting primal monster. Just like my ex-wife.
I expected nothing and I’m still disappointed.
