Team 5 is a nine episode fan-series that follows the fractured remains of a once-great rescue team as they attempt to find their missing leader. The show is styled as an animatic with a full voice cast and an original soundtrack. Our team has been working on the show persistently since late 2021 and, by our estimates, we are about 64% complete with the entire project! Unfortunately, due to various logistical issues that would prevent getting more voice lines in the future from our current VA for Espeon, we need to recast him. And that's where you come in!
What are we looking for?
We are looking for somebody with a traditionally masculine voice to work closely with us on redoing Espeon's voice lines. Due to the nature of the show, some of the recording will need to conform closely to music that our composers have already made. Since this is a major character, we are also going to be sitting in with and directing whoever gets the role while they do their lines. We expect to be very hands-on, and will not only need someone who is willing to come back to record additional voice lines in the future as needed, but can also take live feedback and work under very specific pre-existing timing requirements.
The character has roughly 100 voice lines and previous recording sessions have taken roughly 3 hours. This does not include any additional time spent onboarding, meeting the directors, or watching the scenes before voicing them, which will be expected. Please don't audition if you aren't ready to become a part of our community!
We strongly prefer Pokemon fans, whatever form that takes. We are also giving preference to LGBTQ+ applicants, as the character is himself LGBTQ+. This is not explicitly stated in the current series run, but may be explored in future episodes if/when they are made. Please do not apply if you are in any way uncomfortable with this.
We will be paying via PayPal ideally, but can be flexible in payment platform if PayPal doesn't work for whatever reason. The payment will be delivered upon completion of the voice lines. The flat rate is 150 dollars to cover all the work for the main Team 5 series, and if we need additional voice work for future episodes, additional pay will be offered at that time.
We are looking for talent 18 years or older. Please do not audition if you are under the age of 18.

Espeon is a natural-born leader and the founder of an incredibly well-respected rescue team. However, after a mission goes horribly wrong, he disappears without a trace.
Espeon is normally an even-tempered, if slightly stiff and impersonal, team leader. He has a cautious streak, especially with his younger brother Umbreon, but still does his best to be warm and approachable to his friends and teammates. He is authoritative and stern when necessary. He speaks formally and does not mince words, which can sometimes make others feel uneasy. He's in his element when planning and strategizing, but not as much in normal social situations. Despite this, he always has the best interests of the creatures he protects at heart, and would give anything to protect his rescue team.
(wistful, nostalgic) They’re amazing. I couldn’t have asked for a better team. I miss them every day I’m out here. But good things require sacrifice, and I know it’s for the best that they aren’t here with me. (brighter) Besides, I’m sure they’ve got a good handle on things back home.
(authoritative, commanding) There’s no time. We’ll have to do this the old fashioned way. Leafeon, do the usual routine; take out the guards and we’ll make our way in. Vaporeon, go check the docks and make sure they don’t have anyone else we need to worry about.
