(Closed) Taxi Driver - A Digimon Audiodrama

Project Overview


Fanfic Radio is a YouTube channel dedicated to showcasing awesome upcoming voice talent and the great fan stories fandoms everywhere bring to the table. We feature everything from audiodramas and comic dubs to interviews with veteran fanfiction writers.

We would like to invite you to join the Fanfic Radio family as we work on this new project. Taxi Driver is a three-episode audiodrama featuring three Digimon characters and their personalities as observed by a stranger. The stranger in this case is an innocent taxi driver who has to deal with their odd personalities and ... maybe learn a lesson.

The series is currently in production with three of the main roles being in the recording phase and is scheduled for release in late March.


Expectations once cast:


Once cast, we'll provide you with a link to the script of the episode you're in.



We need to make sure to be respectful of your time, as well as other actors' and the writer, so please make sure to follow the deadlines once cast. If you can't, you'll need to inform us as soon as possible to plan accordingly.



The expected turnaround time is currently 14 days.



Things to note before auditioning:

1. Please make sure to check the reference for the original voices in the role descriptions below. It's necessary to be as close to the original as possible.



2. Please use a clean, clear recording with as little noise as possible as that's an example of the quality you're going to be using in the actual recordings.

  • Thank you so much for auditioning!!

    Just wanted to say thank you to everyone who auditioned!! We love these casting calls as not only do we get to cast our characters but we get to know many of you guys who we working with now or the future. As of right now, all roles have been cast, but that being said, a couple more projects are coming soon so stay tuned.   • Narrator Role has been added

    After a lot of discussion, we felt that having a narrator for this audiodrama would help bring the scenes to a new level. So with that, we have added one more role for the narrator. It's open for your creative interpretation. No requirements when it comes to accents or tones as long as the delivery is lively and not monotone. Can't wait to hear your auditions!!

The narrator is the one opening and ending every episode. He/She also narrates things in the scene that we can't quite capture through audio. As such, this role has a significant number of lines and considered a lead role.

You have creative freedom with this role. All we ask is that you don't sound monotone and enjoy yourself.

  • The taxi driver couldn't help but give a smug smirk as he watched the younger disgruntled taxi driver drive past him. The other driver may have had youth on his side, but the older taxi driver definitely had the experience.

  • Despite the air-conditioning almost on full blast, he could feel sweat soaking the back of his shirt from the friction between the leather seat and his back.

Joe is a responsible young man who always seems to be anxious or worried about something. He's a young doctor that takes his job very seriously. So much so that he's a germophobe. 

While he always seems to be carrying the weight of the world on his shoulder, you can always rely on this loyal friend to be there when you need him.

In this most recent Digimon releases, Joe is voiced by the awesome Robbie Daymond. And we're aiming for that voice in this fan audiodrama.

  • (Shocked) "You should cover your mouth when you sneeze!!"

  • (Dead serious) "Do you disinfect after every customer?" (Director Note: there was a typo earlier where we forgot the r in customer, apologies for that)

  • (mostly rambling and anxious)  "No, I'm prone to bad luck. And please stop calling me
    doc. It's weird. Just call me Jyou. Kido, Jyou. That's my full name, but you
    probably won't care about that since I'm just another stranger that you most
    likely will never see again."

This man is seen abusing his girlfriend in public. When confronted, he doesn't shy away from the conflict and starts causing a bit scene.

  • (In a commanding voice) "Let's go, Yuka!"

  • (Narrating the game) "Nishikawa has the ball. He kicks it to Sakai. Sakai dribbles
    past Luongo and Yamaguchi receives it. Looks like Kobayashi is about to – no,
    actually...Giannou is now in possession. Australia's got the ball!"
