Tarragon radio
Project Overview
Tarragon radio is a horror/comedy audio drama that is inspired by projects such as welcome to night vale and the magnus archives.
the project is about the city of Tarragon, a place that is a living mystery, hiding away from the rest of the world. You won't see it on any tourist websites, hear about anyone who grew up in the city or even be able to point it out on a map. The only way someone would be able to be aware of the existence of the city is by a radio frequency that will sometimes be reachable, the frequency is unpredictable and will disappear as soon as it shows up, but if you're lucky enough to catch it, you will get a glance into the city as you listen to tarragon radio.
we follow four pepole who manage to capture a few seconds of tarragon radio and they soon become enveloped in finding out where it came from, but these scientists soon face a deeper problem as they end up getting trapped in the city and with nowhere to run they try to live among the citizens of tarragon who are strange creatures known as entities and hide from the voice of tarragon radio, an entity known as the host. a man who seems to know all things going on in the city and tells his findings through his radio show.

The host is the main Antagonist of Tarragon radio who can be best described as a 1930s radio host with a hypnotic voice that lulls both the audience and characters into a false sense of security. he enjoys the finer things and will occasionally indulge himself in a glass of scotch whilst working, though he would never let his vices ruin his work. the host is a man with a lot of influence in tarragon, especially since he is the only news source for the citizens, with his radio station providing daily broadcasts. though the host is not directly involved in politics he does have a lot of power on events such as elections as the pepole will wait in anticipation for his opinion.
the host is a man who craves power, though he does not like to be directly involved in politics, rather watching the citizens in the comfort of his own radio station. puppeteering the pepole and erasing the existence of those who step out of line or do things that he deems to be unsuitable. the host cares very little for the lives of others and struggles to create meaningful bonds with other pepole. the only person he seems to genuinely care for is his intern, a young teen he has had in his care for over a decade.

(calming) Hello and welcome listeners, I do hope you are doing well this fine night. The stars are out for once. which is a lovely change from the mist and fog that usually is in the air. Nights like this are strangely relaxing. The noise and vibrance of the city seem to disappear and the world takes a break, just for a moment.
(annoyed) would you kindly leave my studio, and close the door on your way out. i would rather not have any external noise interrupt my broadcast
(closing statement) And with that final story I concluded this broadcast. I have been your host and This has been tarragon radio, good night my dear listeners. wherever you may be
Eric is an entity that works at Tarragon radio, he is described as a teen with long red hair that falls past his shoulders, grey skin and white, void like eyes that he covers with thick rimmed glasses. he is a kind figure in tarragon that befriends the four humans who stumble into the city. offering them advice on safe places to go to and even lies to his boss about his knowledge regarding the humans whereabouts.
though Eric is considered an ally to the outsider group he is an incredibly dangerous entity to be around as his loyalty lies with the host, who raised him since he was a young child, eric looks up to the host and will always choose the man who he views as his father. despite whether or not he thinks the host in in the right.
