LEAD ROLE

Tae Kwon Donkey is the reluctant protagonist of the Tae Kwon Donkey Universe...a martial arts comic series blending absurd anthropomorphic action with emotional mythology, philosophy, and consequence.

Despite the ridiculous surface appearance of the world, Tae is emotionally sincere, introspective, conflicted, and spiritually exhausted. He is not a traditional heroic protagonist.

The ideal performance should balance:

• quiet emotional weight
• subtle humor
• uncertainty
• restrained intensity
• philosophical conflict

This role should NOT sound:

• overly cartoonish
• overly deep/trailer-like
• overly confident/anime-protagonist

Think:“A reluctant martial artist trapped inside an absurd mythological world.”

This is a recurring lead role with future trailer, motion comic, and promotional potential.

Qi Kong is known throughout the world as "The All-Knowing."

He is a spiritual leader, philosopher, and martial arts master whose wisdom guides the resistance against Crab Maga and the Claw and Order.

Unlike many martial arts masters, Qi Kong does not lead through physical strength or intimidation. He leads through understanding. While others train their bodies, Qi Kong has spent a lifetime mastering his mind and spirit.  

He is a pacifist in nature, and the absurdity is that he gives answers for bananas.
 

He often speaks in cryptic ancient language, and forces our characters to interpret and read between the lines.

His presence alone can quiet a room.

Personality Traits:

• Wise

• Serene

• Patient

• Compassionate

• Observant

• Mysterious

• Emotionally grounded

• Powerful through restraint

Performance Notes:

Qi Kong should never sound rushed.

Every word should feel intentional.

Avoid exaggerated "old master" stereotypes, caricatures, or forced accents.

The ideal performance feels less like a fantasy wizard and more like a respected mentor whose wisdom comes from genuine life experience and something deeply spiritual or otherworldly.

He is not trying to impress anyone.

He already knows who he is.

He is also...a giant gorilla...Qi Gong is his martial art...Kong...like King Kong.

So he shouldn't have a soft or small voice...his voice needs a deep reflective presence.

Voice Inspiration:

Imagine a man who has spent decades understanding people, loss, purpose, and peace.

A voice that can command attention without raising its volume.

A voice that makes others stop talking.

Compensation:$50 USD. (Qi Kong does have a significant story-telling nature to him - so he requires more lines than other supporting characters - so for this reason we are paying the same rate as our "Main Character".

Usage:Work-for-hire. Commercial rights required for use in motion comics, trailers, promotional content, social media, and future Tae Kwon Donkey productions.

Hop Kido is one of the last surviving members of the legendary Hare Force.

 While others were broken by war, loss, and defeat, Hop Kido continues forward with unwavering conviction.

Elderly and physically smaller than many of the heroes around him, he is frequently underestimated. Yet beneath his calm exterior lies tremendous wisdom, courage, and inner strength.

Unlike Qi Kong, whose wisdom feels philosophical and cosmic, Hop Kido's wisdom was earned through hardship. He has suffered. He has lost. He has survived.

He does not speak to impress others.

He speaks to help them stand back up.

He acts as a mentor figure to Tae Kwon Donkey - often pulling tae kwon donkey out of his laziness.

He is essentially the disciplined character tae kwon donkey could become.  He always believes in the cause with this sort of blind faith that seems to come from experience.  He is not apprehensive or hesitant like the other characters.

He is like master splinter if he was mixed with the energizer bunny.

Daughter of the legendary Caribwu Shu and one of the world's most celebrated sword fighters.

Kum Doe possesses exceptional skill, but unlike many champions, she carries her accomplishments with humility and grace.

She is compassionate, patient, and deeply caring toward others. Her kindness makes people feel safe.

However, beneath that warmth lies unwavering conviction. When the lives of others are at stake, Kum Doe will make difficult decisions and place herself in harm's way without hesitation.

She does not seek glory.

She seeks what is right.

A former companion of Tae Kwon Donkey during their tournament days, their shared history adds warmth, familiarity, and emotional complexity to their interactions.

She is like Bambi...but will kill you if it serves the greater good!

She isn't afraid to put her life on the line for the mission, and always tries to do what is right.

Her father is capable, but he doesn't fight this war.  She never understood his decision to stay out of it, so she has a complicated attachment to fighting it in his place.

Offendo is a highly opinionated robot critic who appears at the end of each issue to roast the story, characters, and creative decisions.

He believes he is the smartest being in the room and rarely misses an opportunity to point out flaws, inconsistencies, or questionable choices. His commentary is often sarcastic, smug, overly analytical, and occasionally hilarious.

Think: internet critic, comment section moderator, cynical reviewer, or a machine that has consumed far too many online arguments.

Delivery should be intelligent, deadpan, witty, and self-important.

He was literally the world's anti-bullying robot...but he was a defective model due to the wrong wires touching - so instead his programming makes him bully everyone.

He also broke off his own "thumbs up" and turned them into two really big middle fingers instead.

He pretty much has one roast paragraph per issue.

Puppy Power....but a silent and deadly assassin.

Scrappy Doo if he was trained by Batman?

His greatest flaw is he sometimes can't hide his puppy nature and makes random dog noises when he is supposed to be tough, sneaky, and deadly.

This is the side of him he tries to quietly discipline.

Very few voice lines - but meaningful at times. Will have more lines in Issue 3 -

Issue 1 is all about vibe.

Even though he is technically male...he is TINY. So I could see a female or young male able to voice him. But a female or young male trying to sound very tough, and masculine.

Bunz is a minor supporting character in Issue #1 and the wife of Hop Kido, as well as the mother of Hop Kiddo.

She serves as the emotional heart of her family.

While many characters in the Tae Kwon Donkey Universe express their strength through combat, Bunz expresses hers through compassion, loyalty, resilience, and an unwavering devotion to the people she loves.

She is warm, nurturing, and deeply empathetic, often serving as an emotional anchor during moments of fear, uncertainty, and loss.

As the wife of one of the universe's wisest and most disciplined warriors, Bunz helps show the audience what Hop Kido is actually fighting for.

Their relationship is built on mutual love, trust, and support, and her presence helps humanize a character who might otherwise appear detached or stoic.

Although she is not typically found on the front lines of a battle, she is far from helpless. Having learned self-defense from Hop Kido, she is capable of protecting herself and her family when necessary.

Voice wise, we're looking for someone who can convey warmth, sincerity, concern, encouragement, and genuine emotional vulnerability.

This is currently a minor supporting role, but Bunz is an established character within the Tae Kwon Donkey Universe and may receive expanded story opportunities in future projects.

Par Course is the kind of guy who can find fun anywhere. Just like the martial art he represents, Parkour, there is no real obstacle in his path...he can overcome anything, and with style.

Even in the middle of a war....He's adventurous, playful, and always looking for the next challenge. While everyone else is focused on the danger around them, Par often treats the battlefield like the world's biggest playground.

At his core, he's a loyal friend. His best friend is Wing Chun, and the two serve as a classic buddy duo. Par is the optimist who never stops joking, while Wing is serious and focused. Par constantly tries to get Wing to smile or laugh, usually without success.

Despite his carefree nature, Par's emotional side shows whenever Wing is in danger. Beneath the humor is someone who genuinely cares about his friends and will put himself at risk to protect them.

Wing Chun is a warrior who has lived his entire life under the shadow of a prophecy.

From a young age, he was told that one day he would die honorably in battle and be reborn as a phoenix. Whether that destiny is real or not, Wing has spent his entire life believing it.

As a result, he approaches danger differently than everyone around him.

He is aggressive, fearless, and often the first person to charge into a fight. While others hesitate, Wing acts. While others deliberate, Wing commits. He rarely wastes time questioning himself because, in his mind, his path was decided long ago.

His confidence can sometimes border on recklessness. Some see a courageous warrior. Others see someone who is far too willing to throw himself into impossible battles.

Despite his reputation as a hot headed frontline fighter, Wing is not cruel or reckless for the sake of chaos. He simply believes his purpose is waiting for him on the battlefield.

Wing serves as the perfect contrast to his best friend, Par Course. Where Par is playful, optimistic, and constantly joking, Wing is stoic, focused, and rarely amused. Yet beneath his hard exterior, he deeply values their friendship, even if he seldom says so.

Cat Poeira is graceful, confident, and fully aware of it.

A master of Capoeira, she moves through combat with the same elegance and rhythm that others bring to dance. Fast, agile, and impossible to pin down, she treats danger more like a performance than a burden.

Cat is not driven by duty in the same way as many of the other heroes. She isn't interested in martyrdom, destiny, or noble sacrifice. She wants to save the world because she lives in it too....and she quite likes living in it.

She can be sarcastic, sharp-tongued, and occasionally self serving.

She fights for the right team...but with the way she talks and acts...you wonder if she could flip on a dime. You can't MAKE her do anything....she does what she wants...and right now she wants to see the claw and order defeated.

She simply prefers to hides her care behind confidence, wit, and a healthy amount of feline attitude.

She shares a playful rivalry and friendship with Tai Cheetah. Together they often bring levity and style to otherwise serious situations.

Tai Cheetah is one of the most compassionate warriors in the Tae Kwon Donkey universe.

She is a gifted fighter...the fastest mover...and also a talented energy healer.

Where others see enemies, she sees people. Where others seek victory, she seeks understanding. She believes strength exists to protect, heal, and uplift those around her.

Do not mistake her kindness for weakness.

Tai is a highly capable martial artist who can move with incredible speed and precision when the situation demands it. She simply prefers peace whenever peace is still an option.

She shares a close friendship with Cat Poeira. While Cat tends to be sharp, competitive, and independent, Tai often balances that energy with patience and understanding. Together they make an effective team despite their very different personalities.

Tai Cheetah often demonstrates extreme poise.

Sumo Squito is one of the generals of the Claw and Order.

A tiny mosquito capable of growing into a massive kaiju sized monster after feeding on blood.

Sumo Squito is obsessed with power, size, dominance, and proving his importance.

Despite his intimidating abilities, there is an insecurity beneath the surface.

Sumo Squito constantly feels the need to remind everyone how large, powerful, and significant he is.

He views strength as the solution to every problem and believes smaller, weaker creatures exist only to be stepped on.

We are looking for a performer capable of delivering TWO VERSIONS of every line:

   The character should feel recognizable in both forms, as if they are the same personality expressed through two very different bodies. Please read each line twice with a tiny mosquito voice, and a large giant monster mosquito voice.

Think:
Tiny ego with giant ambitions.
Then giant ego with giant power.

Ka Ratty is a former champion, accomplished martial artist, singer, performer, and professional spotlight thief.

Unfortunately for him...

Tae Kwon Donkey beat him.

Ever since, Ka Ratty has developed an ongoing rivalry with Tae. He constantly accuses Tae of cheating, taking shortcuts, or receiving special treatment, despite being notorious for bending rules himself whenever it benefits him.

The truth is simple:

Ka Ratty wants to be the hero.

He wants to be the champion.

He wants to be the one everyone remembers.

And every time Tae Kwon Donkey succeeds, Ka Ratty sees another spotlight stolen from him.

Despite the rivalry, Ka Ratty is not a villain.

He trains relentlessly.
He fights hard.
He genuinely wants to prove he is better.

He just happens to be incredibly dramatic about it.

He's the type of person who would make a dramatic entrance, strike a pose, and deliver a one liner before a fight.

Singing ability is a bonus.

The singing does NOT need to be professionally perfect.

In fact, part of the humor is that Ka Ratty often chooses the absolute worst moments imaginable to burst into song.

Also note - he uses his rat tail and karate-oke microphone as nunchucks in combat. He calls it the tail-chuck mic-check

Crab Maga

Crab Maga is the tyrannical ruler of the World Capitol and the primary antagonist of Issues #1–3 of the Tae Kwon Donkey comic.

After enduring a deeply traumatic event, Crab Maga conquered the known world and imposed his own uncompromising vision of peace. He rules through “claw and order,” maintaining stability through fear, overwhelming force, and any means he deems necessary.

Crab Maga does not see himself as evil. He is utterly convinced that his actions are justified...and many of those living under his rule believe he is right. He should feel less like a mindless villain and more like a powerful, wounded leader whose certainty has hardened into tyranny.

Despite his intimidating appearance, Crab Maga speaks with surprising elegance and intelligence. His normal delivery should be controlled, articulate, commanding, and almost regal. However, the actor must also possess the range to erupt into moments of pure rage, aggression, and frightening intensity when that control finally breaks.

• Commanding, authoritative presence

• Elegant and articulate delivery

• Controlled menace and unwavering conviction

• Capable of sounding persuasive...even reasonable

• Strong emotional range, particularly explosive rage and aggression

• Should feel like a ruler who genuinely believes history will vindicate him

The ideal performance will capture both sides of Crab Maga: the sophisticated leader who can command a nation with a speech, and the wounded tyrant capable of crushing anyone who challenges his version of peace.

Vo Venom is a devious and deeply manipulative snake who always seems to find her place beside the most powerful figure in the room.

She rarely gives direct orders, openly threatens anyone, or gets her own hands dirty.

Instead, she whispers carefully chosen ideas into the ears of rulers, allowing them to believe that every terrible decision was entirely their own. She has an uncanny ability to remain just outside the consequences of the destruction she helps create.

Vo Venom is consistently found on the wrong side of history...but never in a position where she can easily be blamed for it.

Her manipulation is incredibly subtle. On the surface, she can appear composed, intelligent, helpful, and even warmly familiar. However, something about her presence should make people uneasy. They may not be able to explain what feels wrong about her, but their instincts warn them not to trust her.

Although Vo Venom has relatively few lines in Issues #1–3, she is an important recurring character whose influence reaches beyond the immediate story.

The Foxer is a wealthy prizefighter, celebrity boxer, and supporting hero within the MMAAC Resistance.

Attractive, charming, playful, and extremely aware of all three qualities, The Foxer lives for attention. Years of successful prizefights have given him wealth, fame, and a great deal of confidence...perhaps more confidence than anyone around him needs to hear about. He is light on his feet, quick with a joke, and happiest when every eye in the room is fixed on him.

The Foxer is pompous and determined to remain the center of attention. Even in the middle of a brutal battle, part of him is already imagining the cameras capturing his victory. He possesses the polished charisma of a celebrity athlete and the showmanship of a boxer who understands that entertaining the audience can be nearly as important as winning the fight.

The Foxer may love the spotlight, but he is willing to get bloodied in order to earn it.

His signature technique is the Foxy 3, an epic three-punch combination accompanied by Rocky-style quotations. His tagline is:

“Don’t Fox With Him!”

Peli Kendo is an elite sword-wielding officer of the Claw and Order and one of Crab Maga’s most loyal generals.

A disciplined pelican warrior trained in Kendo, Peli is clean, pristine, controlled, and completely devoted to the cause he serves.

He carries himself with the formality of a military officer and the precision of a lifelong swordsman. Even in the chaos of battle, he rarely wastes a movement or allows emotion to compromise his composure.

Peli is not driven by sadism, greed, or personal ambition. His defining quality is loyalty.

He is arguably the most devoted character in the Tae Kwon Donkey Universe willing to give his blood, his body, and ultimately his life in service to Crab Maga and the Claw and Order.

Unfortunately, that instinct toward self-sacrifice makes him vulnerable to being used by those he trusts. Peli views martyrdom as honorable and obedience as virtue, even when the mission he serves demands cruelty.

That devotion does not make him merciful.

Peli can impale an attacker without hesitation, threaten an entire population with execution, and attempt to kill a comparatively defenseless opponent if he believes doing so will protect the greater mission. He does not relish these acts. He simply considers them necessary.

His tagline is:

“A hospital bill isn’t the only bill you’ll get hit with!”

Wrest Squirreler is a compact, explosive professional wrestler and supporting hero within the MMAAC Resistance.

Standing only four feet five inches tall and weighing approximately 85 pounds, Wrest Squirreler is frequently underestimated.
That mistake rarely lasts long.

Active, aggressive, irritable, and completely fearless, Wrest thrives on hardcore matches, dangerous stunts, wrestling catchphrases, and spectacular displays of destruction.

She approaches nearly every problem like a professional wrestler searching for the perfect finishing move. If an opponent cannot be slammed, she will slam the environment around them instead.

Wrest Squirreler is not subtle. She is loud, physical, impulsive, and always ready to turn a fight into a spectacle. However, her wrestling mentality is genuinely useful. Beneath the catchphrases and chaos is a courageous combatant capable of seeing the entire environment as a weapon.

She is also intensely irritable, struggles with an acorn addiction, and has a not-so secret attraction to Ka Ratty.

Her signature techniques include:

• The Nut Cracker: A powerbomb followed by a headbutt

• Out on a Limb: A single-leg submission

• Flying Squirrel: A high-risk aerial maneuver

• Road Dent: An off-the-ropes dropkick to the head

• Going Nuts: A fired-up state in which her already volatile aggression intensifies

Her tagline is:

“You’d be nuts to start a Squirrel with her!”

Gecko Roman Wrestler is a fiercely traditional Greco-Roman wrestler and supporting fighter within the Tae Kwon Donkey Universe.

Gecko believes wrestling should be disciplined, technical, and grounded in its ancient foundations.

He has little patience for flashy entrances, scripted rivalries, ridiculous catchphrases, or the spectacle of modern professional wrestling.

In fact, his disdain for the sport became so intense that he entered it specifically to challenge Wrest Squirreler and prove the superiority of his own style.

Unfortunately for Gecko, his increasingly theatrical association with Wrest may be pulling him closer to the very thing he claims to hate.

He can also repel water, camouflage himself, shed and regrow his tail on command, and perform highly technical classical wrestling holds.

Gecko’s greatest strength and greatest weakness are closely connected: he does not let go.

This applies physically, intellectually, and emotionally. He is extraordinarily stubborn, deeply set in his ways, and nearly impossible to persuade once he has formed an opinion.

His rivalry with Wrest Squirreler gradually develops into an effective partnership.

Gecko’s signature techniques include:

• Attention to De-tail

• Ereptile Dysfunction: A pin so powerful that the opponent cannot get back up

His tagline is:

“Fifteen minutes can save you fifteen percent or more on car insurance. but you won’t last fifteen minutes in a ring with him!”
