'Super Secret' Webtoon Web Comic Fandub - Seeking Video Editor, Audio Engineer, and VAs

Project Overview

The following is a casting call for a fandub of the webtoon ‘Super Secret.’ 

The project is co-directed by myself and SichoPsysVA and currently four episodes are out which can be viewed here/above.

We are casting for roles as they become available per chapter. More roles will be added as the dub progresses. 

Please follow the project if you’d like to be updated about the added roles and/or completed episodes :) 


If you are interested in auditioning, the following will best improve your chances to be cast-

1. Recording/Audio quality – Be mindful of background noise, plosives/pops, and echoes.

2. Acting ability – Generating more emotive tones and range with 2-3 different separate takes per line will help a lot. Also, please refer to the comic linked in the references to get a better sense of the character.

3. Dependability - There are a ton of episodes in this webcomic with more being released, so we are looking for dependable VAs to work with our team for the long haul.

  • Looking to add a Video Editor, Audio Engineer, and a few more VAs to the team

    Hi everyone, It's been a while! We've added a few more roles and are hoping to add some major players to the team. We're hoping to find some volunteers to help with video editing and audio engineering. We're aiming to cast for these two key roles by Dec 18th. For video editors who've submitted auditions before, please feel free to submit again if you're happy to help on a volunteer basis. :) We're also added a few more characters to the roster and are excited to hear your takes on Ryan's Dad and Mom, Johan, and the extras (role is still open for Emma's parents). We'll be extending the casting calls for these roles until we find the right voice/as we get closer to the chapters that the characters appear. Thank you so much for your support! *iris*

    Hello Everyone! Thank you so much for taking the time to audition for this project and/or follow along for updates! We really appreciate your support! We have begun reviewing auditions and will make our final decisions within the next week or two. There are so many wonderful auditions! We have some tough decisions to make.   • Roles added + voice description update

    Just added a few more male roles, an extras role, as well as a paid video editing role. Also tweaked Victor's description with a clearer idea of what voice type to go for in the audition. Please feel free to resubmit an audition if the additional information changes how you'd like to portray the character's voice. :) Thank you!

but will range from teen to older adult in later chapters.

He’s a gentleman-like character. He’s quite formal in speech and tone and never loses his cool.  Go for a slightly robotic or detached tone of voice. 

He shows an interest in the protagonist, but hardly in a romantic sense despite taking her on a date.

Jamie is quite a serious lad, he enjoys spending time studying in his room thanks to a pretty lecturer in his online university course. He’s likely to cross paths with her as she’s a big part of the M.C’s life. His voice/nature should be big brother like, calm, indifferent and a bit stern at times. His younger sister is Jasmine and she’s quite the opposite to him.

Coming in late – is Mr. Redhead A.K.A Hunter. He’s a funny delinquent-like character that is quite lazy in class unless his friend Jamie puts pressure on him to get moving. Hunter is honest with how he feels and quite open to saying what he dislikes. He’s not a bad guy but doesn’t care much for putting on a public appearance. He also wears a nuclear-resistant gas mask at times… Cause you know, why not when you’re allergic to puppies? P.S. He’s also Victor’s “brother”.
