SunnySide Magic High - Animatic Web Series
Project Overview
SunnySide Magic High is about 4 royals who go to a high school that teaches them how to control their magical abilities while learning how to rule someday. These 4 face bitter truths, and cruel adversaries, all while trying to fulfill their destinies. With new adventures every day, and while singing their way through life, will these 4 be able to succeed in saving their world?
SunnySide Magic High is a web series; the show will be aired on the 'SunnySide Magic High' YouTube channel. SSMH is by 'The Wise Group Productions' and the series is greenlit to run for 1 season, consisting of fifteen episodes (depending on the quality of the series, it may run for longer). SSMH will be presented sort of like an animatic; multiple static images that will be paired with music, voice acting, and a compelling plot to create a project. (Some parts will be animated)
With this project, we hope to create a fun and enjoyable workplace where talents can work together; not only on this project but on their unique creative voice. Most (if not all) of the communications around the project will happen over Discord. We welcome people of all ages and experience levels to audition for this project. It is recommended that you join the server so we can keep you posted on your audition!

Queen Estelle is the mother of one of the main 4, Crescenta, and queen of The Kingdom Of Stars. Estelle really shines through her daughter, as the two of them have very similar traits. She reflects her kingdom as her personality is very vibrant. She can be dramatic and is very expressive. She does also care a lot about how things appear and really makes sure everything looks perfect. Although, she cares quite a bit about what others think of her, and is very insecure. She finds it difficult to speak up about her son's illness and has many secrets.
Her voice is dignified and loud. (Maybe a bit like Pearl from Steven Universe) Feel free to play around with it.

Queen Clover is the mother of one of the main 4, Hazel, and is the queen of The Nature Kingdom. Queen Clover is definitely the better parent and often feels responsible for how bad of a father her husband can be. Though she's kind and understanding, she can be quite strict and protective of Hazel, not giving her much freedom. Queen Clover also has strong opinions that clash with Hazel's more modern way of thinking.
Clover has a very dignified American accent. She has a motherly tone but can sound authoritative when she needs to. You can play around with this.

QUEEN CLOVER: (hesitant, feeling bad) Hazel... I... I'm sorry dear...
QUEEN CLOVER: (hesitant) Hazel, you know your father just wants the best for you...
Ms. Helibe is the alchemy teacher at SunnySide, and also Ms. Arcadia's sister. Ms. Helibe has fought hard for the alchemy course to be taught at SunnySide Magic High, and she absolutely loves her job. Ms. Helibe is headstrong and is very smart, she cares a lot about her student's wellbeing and can sense when something is wrong. She tries to make her class as enjoyable as possible and tries to cooperate with students who don't respect her. She doesn't tolerate discrimination of any kind in her classroom and has good instincts.
Her voice should sound enthusiastic and upbeat, along with a little sprinkle of nerdiness. Feel free to play around with it.

MS. HELIBE: (enthusiastic, greeting) Morning students! Welcome to alchemyyy! Are you ready to learn?
MS. HELIBE: (stern, yelling) Alchemy may not be a magic subject, but it still demands your respect!
MS. HELIBE: (whispering to herself, giving up) Why do I even try?
Alvaro is quite an interesting antagonist. He was one of the last generation's heroes, he made sacrifices, watched his friends die, and kept himself alive for many many years. His goal is to destroy dark magic, but how he executes his plan isn't very ethical.
Alvaro believes he's doing everyone a favor, he believes he's the only one who can save their world, and that no one else would be able to.
He craves validation and wants to prove his worth to not only others but to himself. This stems from him always being known as the weaker hero.
Feel free to do a villain voice, without putting in too much effort.

ALVARO: (ominous, intimidating) I'm here to talk to you four about your destinies.
ALVARO: (angry, intimidating) I doubt your pathetic little teenage brains can comprehend the effects of this power! You have NO IDEA what being a hero is like. Risking everything, making sacrifices. You're royals! You've been given everything, you've never had to struggle. You don't know what you're getting into!
ALVARO: (ominous, furious) I've spent decades trying to rid our world of dark magic... I've lost so so much... I've made unimaginable sacrifices... and these... children... think they can take it all away? Play the part of a hero? I'll show them. I'll show everyone, who they're dealing with...

Estrella is a crucial character. Her goal and mission is to train and guide the heroes, helping them eradicate dark magic. Although, she's held back due to being imprisoned by Alvaro. A lot of her scenes are her trying to make Alvaro change his mind, or trying to get into his head. Estrella is patient, level-headed, and strong-willed. She has quick wits and is very empathetic.
Estrella is quite honestly the embodiment of light, so she should sound angelic. Everything she says should sound impactful, and heavy. She's quite wise, and that should be evident in the way she speaks. Although, she won't hesitate to be authoritative.

Estrella: (narrating) Our world, Cora, is made up of 215 kingdoms. Each representing the essence of their core. Centuries ago, a special school was built at the center of our world.
Estrella: (determined) You'll never beat them. The heroes are here, hand-picked by destiny to stop her. And you wouldn’t stand a chance against her. They may be inexperienced, but they’ll be able to beat you.

Mr. Topaz is the PME (physical magical education) teacher at SSMH. He's not the brightest, but he's very full of himself. He can be strict on students, and quite honestly enjoys watching them suffer.
Mr. Topaz has a deeper voice and can sound aggressive. Although, you can play around with that.

Storyboard artists translate the script and the director's vision into pictures. They produce a series of panels of images to plan the shots and ensure continuity between them. These form the basis for the animation or the next stage of production. They also might need to draw rough outlines for what the characters have physical contact with or anything behind them.

An FX artist create visual effects. They're responsible for creating smoke, fire, destruction, water, rain, as well as smaller effects such as objects colliding or a gust of wind.

A color stylist makes sure the colors in a scene match where the scene takes place. They put specific lighting and change characters’ color palettes depending on where they are or what time of day it is. So they are also responsible for shading.
