Star Wars: Republic - Twilight (Comic Dub)
Project Overview
What happens when a Jedi wakes up without his memories, and no recollection of the Jedi Code? Chaos breaks out!
To figure out who he is, Quinlan Vos teams up with the Devaronian Vilmarh Grahrk to search for his lost Padawan, Aayla Secura, hoping she would be able to provide answers to his existential crisis. However, it was no coincidence that they have been seperated, and in his quest to find Aayla, Quinlan discovers a conspiracy that could shake the Galaxy!
This arc is a non-profit adaption of the Comic Book of the same name. To check out other comics I have covered, check out the link below!

One day, this corageous, young Jedi Padawan discovers a conspiracy surrounding drugs, the next, she awakens with her memory wiped, groomed by her shady uncle to be a harmless, submissive slave, with no recollection of the conspiracy, her life as a Jedi or her Master Quinlan Vos. Once Quinlan leanrs that Pol is responsible for Aayla's dissapearance, he comes storming into his chambers, and upon seeing what Pol has turned his former Padawan into, he attacks Pol, and in her attempt to save him, Aayla accidentally unleashes her surpressed Force Powers, killing her uncle. Terrified of the act she had just committed, Aayla flees the scene, rendering Quinlan's mission a failure.
After a long time of aimlessly wandering the Galaxy, she eventually makes her way to the Prison Planet of Kiffex. By now, she blames Quinlan Vos for her Uncle's death, and intends to take her revenge. As she succumbs to the dark side, she ends up in even worse company than before: as the apprentice of an ancient Dark Jedi.
Aayla Secura reappears in the story arcs "Darkness" and "The Stark Hyperspace War", as well as the side story "Heart of Fire". She is a recurring character who will see a lot of development, and in her own journey to regain her memories, we will see her in many different roles, such as a manipulated servant, a vengeful antagonist or a kind, strong young padawan.
(kindly, speaking to a young child) "When I heard there was another Twi'Lek girl here, I just had to meet you, Xiann! I feel as if I have a little Sister! Here, I want you to have this! Do you like it? My Master, Quinlan Vos, gave it to me on my thirteenth Birthday. They are from his Planet and are called hearts of fire. It is said that it holds a little bit of the spirits of both the giver and the reciever. Please...take this of me!"
(confused) "I'm sorry, Master. My name I know, but...these other words...I do not know them."
(cruelly, vengeful) "No, Quinlan Vos! YOU shall die! Beg, Jedi! I have learned I can kill you and kill you I will!"
Before K-2SO and L3-37, there was NT 600. Vilmarh Grahrk hardwired this sassy astronavigation and general assistance droid into his personal starship, the Inferno. Unfortunately for Villie, her pre-programmed ethics circuits often throws a wrench into the Devaronian's foul plans. NT 600 reappears in one Issue each in Darkness and Star Wars: Devaronian Version, giving her a total of four script appearances.
"I wish I could say I was sorry, but my protocol circuits do not allow me to lie. Request denied. You do not own this ship."
"I believe, sir, that we were directed to landing pad X4578H56. You, however, have taken us off automatic landing, and from the landing beacon, taking us away from the pad. I assume from all this that you are about to be "brilliant" again."
"I should alert you, sir, that we are breaking several laws...possibly including ones regarding gravity."
Quinlan Vos' Aunt is the Sheyf, the supreme commander of the Guardians on Planet Kiffu. She disapproves that her predecessor, her brother Kurlin, allowed for Quinlan to be taken in as a Jedi, because she would have much rather had him serve his own people. She has developed a strong disdain for the Jedi, viewing them as thieves. She makes one appearance in "Twilight", but will return in the story arc "Darkness" in a much larger role. Tinté should have a creepy, old lady-type voice, but not cartoonishly overplayed. The performance of Morag from the Ewoks Cartoon series might be a good source of inspiration for this character:

"I am the Sheyf Tinté, Boy - leader of the Guardians and you will speak to me with respect!"
"We want OUR Jedi, Mace Windu! We want Quinlan Vos! He is blood of our blood and if I had my way, he would have been a Guardian and never a Jedi!"
"I did what had to be done! What you had not the stomach to do!"
You know the saying "Blood is thicker than water"? Pretend you don't. Holmarh may be the cousin of Vilmarh Grahrk, but the two shamelessly plan to stab one another in the back just to make a quick buck. He will return in "Star Wars: The Devaronian Version", where his involvement in the Yinchorri Uprising is revealed. Both his cousin Vilmarh and his son Olmar have appeared prievously in my comic dubs, so please try to sound consistent with the performances of these two characters. Below is a link that will show his relatives communicating with one another:

"Vilmar! Your mother was a Bantha and you were one of her less-savory droppings!"
"Hurrr! Business time, this! Big-big money offered if Jedi dies and never goes to Coruscant. You get Holmar close enough to shoot Jedi, we split money 60-40."
"Not the Twi'Lek. Holmar not tell Villie who. If Villie knew, he'd just kill Jedi himself. Bang Poof! Holmar gets no money. I don't think so. You in?"
Asanté Vos is a Kiffar Guardian who journeyed to Ryloth, claiming that Sheyf Tinté sent her to assist Quinlan Vos in regaining his memories. In truth, despite being an Admirer of Quinlan'S, she too is involved in the Glitteryll conspiracy, and experiences an inner turmoil having to face down one of her best friends and role models to keep the operation under wraps.
"Quin! Quinlan Vos! There you are! The Sheyf Tinté contacted me and...! Oh, my! 'Tis true, then what they said! Your memory is gone! You have no Idea who I am, do you?"
"Asanté Vos I am and I am also a guardian of the Clan Vos and I was always...an admirer of yours and, when you came home to visit, we became...close. Never mind, come. Pol Secura, Aayla's uncle, wishes to meet with you. He's one of the chieftans here. Come."
"'Tis a strange place, this. Caught between extremes, having to live your life in perpetual twilight - what is that like, I wonder?"
This corrupt Senator is the head of the Glitteryll conspiracy. He's condescending and confident, but prone to panic the moment things stop going his way.
"The Jedi has returned? This is unacceptable, Secura! His investigation brought him too close to me last time. He should have been killed then. I want him dead, Secura. See to it!"
(Condescending) "Look at it, smuggler! It dares to look amazed! Oh, my! Look how it struggles! Are the manacles quite strong enough, do you think?"
(Afraid for his life) "It has no proof! You have no proof!"
This Gotal seems to be the brains of a duo of Jedi Impostors and does most of the talking. Having somehow come into posession of the lightsaber of the Padawan Aayla Secura, he and his green friend run scams pretending to be Jedi.
"We're also Jedi. See? We have Lightsabers, the weapons of a Jedi Knight. So drop the blaster and come with us. You have a lot to answer for."
This green-skinned, fin-headed alien appears to be the brawn of the Jedi Impostor Duo who prefers to strike rather than ask questions. He has somehow acquired the lightsaber of the Jedi Knight Quinlan Vos, and upon running into him, intends to use the stolen weapon to strike down its creator.
(Charging into Battle) "For that, you can die with him, Devaronian!"
When Quinlan Vos fought his way through the slums of Nar Shaddaa, Vilmarh Grahrk bet his ship to this vengeful Quarren that Quinlan would die at a time of Vilmarh's choosing. However, Quinlan survived, and Gorzima won both the bet and the ship, the Inferno, from him. Now that it is in Vilmarh's best interest that Quinlan survives, he must convince Gorzima to give him the Inferno back.
"Grahrk. I knew you would attempt to steal the ship back. I told security to destroy the Inferno, if nercessary, to kill you."
"Jedi, eh? Better than the usual sort of scum with which you engage, Grahrk. Very well. NT, revert to original authorisation codes. The Inferno is yours, Grahrk."
The Smuggler's Moon is home to the worst criminals in the Galaxy. When word spread that a Jedi Knight got lost on Nar Shaddaa without his memories, these criminals made bets to see how soon he will be killed - and will do everything to make sure they will win their bet, even if it means killing the Jedi themselves!
"Devaronians! All alike! All!"
"You in there! You have ten seconds to come out peacefully or...ah, Nek take it. Just shoot 'em."
The inhabitants of the planet Ryloth.
(Shocked) "He's dead!"
"Call the guards!"
