Star Wars: Lando | Comic Dub
Project Overview
Krayt Dragon Films is proud to announce that we will be continuing our Star Wars comic dubs with the Lando series! KDF has been producing critically acclaimed comic series similar to this one for three years, especially Star Wars content. We are thrilled to include this series in our line up! Before we delve too far into what this project is about, we have supplied links to some of our previously completed works to give you a feel for what you will be voicing.

How it Works:
Suffice to say, we have mastered bringing to life comics over our near three year run on YouTube. We pride ourselves on our company's quality in both visuals, sound effects, music, and the most important part: the voice actors. All productions start with a highly detailed and descriptive casting call. Our typical policy is we don't cast actors until the last day of the call so everyone has plenty of time to audition. Our CC's typically last 2-3 weeks. At the end of the CC process, the Series Director and Casting Director sit down together and make the casting decisions based on a variety of factors such as audio quality, performance, vocal range, talent, etc. Once the casting decisions have been made, we send a link for a private Discord server where you will find your scripts, schedule meetings for live voice direction, and to just meet and mingle with your fellow castmates. The production time on all projects are airtight, all lines are due within seven days of the script's release to allow voice actors time to first takes and if requested, retakes. If a request is requested you will have three days after the retake request is made to redo your lines. From there it is up to the Director and Producer to bring to life the comic. Production time can range from a few days to a few weeks so please try to have your audio in as quickly as possible so production can begin. Rinse and repeat until the series is complete!
The Synopsis:
Before he joined the rebellion, before he ran Cloud City, Lando made his way in the galaxy getting by on some swindles, some swagger, and a smile. Lobot at his side, Lando has a plan to steal a very valuable ship… but has he bitten off more than he can chew? Writer Charles Soule (Death of Wolverine, Inhuman, She-Hulk) and artist Alex Maleev (Daredevil, Spider-Woman, Moon Knight) bring us the tale of a scoundrel in his natural element - trouble!

Ground rules:
- Please make sure you can commit to the series and reprising your roles. The series is a rather lengthy one which will require you to reprise your role for close to a year.
- Please be able to get your lines in the very same week you get the script. Production time will be airtight!
- Have professional grade equipment or at the bare minimum make sure your audio is top notch. No background noise!
- Have a Discord or be able to create one. This allows for us to communicate and upload documents much easier than Skype or any other platform.
- Lastly, enjoy yourselves!

Suave, persuasive, and charming, smuggler and entrepreneur, swindler and swindlee, Calrissian has been a presence in the galactic criminal underworld since before Luke Skywalker hit puberty. He is always getting himself into trouble, and is always in debt. Hey, hey, easy now. I’m just saying...I had no idea that thing used to be yours. It wasn’t exactly easy to get, you know, and...Look, I was acting in good faith, man! We had a deal.
Lando Calrissian's right-hand man, Lobot is a cybernetically-enhanced human from Bespin. His cybernetic implants grant him greater brainpower, allowing him to calculate complex odds and equations with the efficiency of a droid. This came with a cost, however - as the cybernetics are constantly at risk of erasing Lobot's personality and individuality. He is loyal to his friend, but often finds himself questioning Lando's decisions. We're looking for a middle-aged male British accent to portray this character, with a mostly monotone delivery, only showing emotion when extremely irritated.
But the risks you take, brother. I mean...uh...let’s see...Yeah. The implants tell me the chances of that working were something like one one in ten thousand at best.
Nah. I’m good. I had one while I was waiting for you, and you know how the implants get when I’m too...unfocused.
Ten percent...ten percent?!
Ssaria is an Imperial Moff and the Governor of Castell. She is incredibly self-assured and loyal to the Empire, but her resolve may have met its match in the powerful charm of Lando Calrissian. Having been seduced by the scoundrel, it's up to Ssaria to determine if Calrissian is interested in her, or merely her riches. We're looking for a young female English accent for the portrayal of this character.
Pffft. Flatterer. Why are you so concerned with that trinket, Lando? I’ll admit it’s lovely. Some local artisan’s best effort, perhaps. Still, nothing that would turn heads in the core.
It doesn’t matter. I care little for my reputation in the streets. But you still haven’t answered my question, Lando. Why do you care so much about that little thing?

Korin Pers is a female Ugnaught scholar who specializes in antiquities. She is a former acquaintance of Lando Calrissian, but holds a grudge against the scoundrel for a previous mission in which she lost her eye. However, Calrissian's charm may just convince her to work with him one more time. We're looking for a gruff and gravelly elder female voice to portray this character.

I find it very difficult to imagine that anything could induce me to work with a gurting bask like you ever again.
Commander Pasqual is an Imperial commander in charge of Sienar Fleet Systems Orbital Shipyard CC-24. He runs into trouble when a group of criminals led by Lando Calrissian infiltrate the shipyard to steal one of the ships under his command. We're looking for a middle-aged male English accent to portray this character, with a hint of nervousness in his voice.
Of course, my Lord Amedda. I will use all available forces at my command. We will not fail you.

My exalted Emperor Palpatine. I have some truly unfortunate news.
The Elves are a species of small, sentient winged creatures. This particular group of Elves work in the employ of the crime lord Papa Toren, and serve as his translators. We're looking for a single actor to portray this group of Elves, with a high-pitched gravelly voice.
Papa Toren thanks you for returning his property, stolen some time ago by the disgusting Imperials when they came to occupy this planet. In gratitude, he will strike ten percent for the total amount you owe him.
Papa Toren reminds you that the deal was simply to afford you a bit of extra time to settle what you owe him. It is not his fault that you chose to use that time poorly.
He suggests that if you have a problem with Imperials stealing the property of the honest citizens of Castell, that you take it up with them. But if you are truly sincere about wishing to clear your debt, Papa Toren may have another suggestion.
