Star Wars Episode 9 - Fan Version Audio Drama
Project Overview
Hello Voice actors and Star Wars fans!
In an attempt to right the wrongs and story problems featured in Episode 8, I decided to write my own script for Episode 9. I want to turn this script into an audio play, which will be published on YouTube. I am now starting to look for voice actors to fulfill the roles.
The actual episode 9 will hit theaters in December of 2019, but you have the chance to be part of our own version until then! You have the power to put your own spin on the story and performance, so we can create something amazing together! Regardless of how Episode 9 will turn out, we will always have our own attempt at telling an amazing story, the way we want it.
Does this sound like something you would like to be a part of? Then here is the list below for characters I am looking for:
Rey (big role)
Kylo Ren / Ben - Unmasked version only (big role)
Finn (medium role)
Poe Dameron (medium role)
Luke Skywalker (short role)
Snoke - yep, he's in my version (big role)
General Hux - He will actually play an important role in this story (medium role)
added: First Order Officer - has interactions with Hux (short role)
added: Narrator - Was going to do it myself, but it would be fun giving someone else the chance to perform the narration!
You can audition for more than one role if you feel you can do them. You don't have to be perfect in imitating the original actors. As long as you understand the essence of the character. Please make sure to have a decent quality microphone and no background noise.
Auditions close at the 10th of December 2019 - Roles can be closed before then!
Deadline for all recordings is 28th of January 2019
Editing will take place in February. Scheduled release will be on 5th of March (could change).
Note that if everything falls into place much more early on, things could develop much quicker!
There is small compensation by means of paypal for each role, upon line delivery. This is purely a project done by someone who loves Star Wars and is looking for like minded individuals, so payment is not huge. You will also be credited in the released video.
My version does not try to redcon anything already established in the new movies, but works with those things and manages to do the following in a clever way:
- fixes the wasted Snoke arc
- redeems Luke's character
- fixes Rey's background
- fixes the "hyperspace smashing into ships"
- fixes tracking through hyperspace
- saves Kylo's story
- actually gives Hux an important role and gets revenge in his own way
- Also I have the Knights of Ren make an appearance (which was totally wasted in TLJ)
I can't wait to share my story with you! I have worked on this for a long while and I'm so happy with how my story turned out! It will truly fix the Last Jedi, without ignoring its plot errors.

Increased payment for Poe and Finn
Hi all, So I was going over the script and I realized that I wrote the parts of Finn and Poe to have about the same number of lines that Rey and Kylo have, so the difference in payment did not make sense to me anymore. Hence I have increased those parts from $15,- to $20,-!! I felt this would me more fair. The parts are still up for grabs, so take your best shot! Laurens

Was originally going to narrate myself, but please give it a shot, the more people involved with the story, the more fun!
As the Falcon makes a hard turn upwards, making its way out of the atmosphere, laser fire hits one of the pursuing Tie-Fighters and it explodes mid-air.
The voice that answered, is not the voice of Kylo Ren. As Hux raises his head from his bowed position, he feels uneasy, as he looks upon the ghostly apparition of Supreme Leader Snoke.
She can make out buildings in the distance, with rounded emerald green rooftops that subtly reflect the sunlight. As she gets closer, she can see the buildings are decorated with all sorts of flowers; red and blue and white. The wide streets are complimented with big marbled statues and decorative lamp posts.
