Project Overview
We're in the process of casting 3 roles for upcoming DLC for the game Star Trucker.
These characters will give players a variety of jobs and provide feedback on their progression throughout the game.
The deadline for submission is the 5th of September with recording sessions due to take place mid-September.
The total word count for each character is approximately 750.
How to Audition:
Please provide recording of the sample lines of the character that you wish to audition for (No more than 2 takes per line).
In addition to the line reads, please provide a link to a showreel (if you have one) and a description of the equipment you use to record.

Hop into the driver's seat of your rocket-powered big rig as you haul cargo, scavenge for salvage and interact with an eclectic cast of star-hopping truckers in this Americana-infused journey on the ultimate open road - space!
HAUL AND HOLLER
Cruise the hyper highways, taking on a variety of jobs such as fuel hungry long hauls and hazardous drop-offs to earn cash and unlock new content. And don't forget to monitor the CB radio for chatter from fellow truckers; it's a fantastic way to uncover side gigs and stay updated on galactic gossip.
MANAGE AND MAINTAIN
Keeping your rig runnin’ isn’t always easy. You’ll need to keep your core systems online, gravity compensator spinnin’ and hull patched to prevent your cab from leaking lung juice. Be sure to make pre-trip shop stops for replacement parts, and consider upgrading your truck at a local garage. These improvements are vital for safely navigating volatile sectors and ensuring timely deliveries.
HYPERJUMP!
Use the galactic map to plan your journey and warp jumps, while keeping an eye on your fuel reserves and power levels. Once your route is set, kick back, crank up the cab hi-fi and cruise to a selection of original songs covering starburst blues, galactic rock and asteroid infused americana. The open road is waiting!

Summary
Ex-military and now a business man channeling his defense knowledge into sector protection, primarily from asteroids / space weather events, but also from corporate disasters and local emergencies.
Cool and confident attitude that hides a wicked smart science-y background. Doesn't really want people to know that he has a selfless bone in his body.
Not very helpful or detail-oriented outside of his work. Kind of a shmoozer, always looking for a deal / or to offer a favor he’ll claim back ten-fold.
The only time his cool and confident appearance cracks is at the mention of aliens - which he completely believes in, and takes the thought of them invading extremely seriously. Almost a prepper type vibe.

• They deal with outsource for mineral detection, asteroid blasting and ore collection
• Also arranges shipments of special ore and mineral rich asteroids.
Traits
• Bit of a stoner but talks at a regular pace (we still want dialogue to feel fairly snappy).
• Wary of explosives but mesmerised by shimmering ore.
• Chill, content, knows there's more to life than work.

Summary
Extremely laid-back for a guy who used to work with explosives. Now he runs his own mining business, so he spends most of his time in an office, away from the action.
Has a fascination with shiny gemstones and that's mostly why he got into this business.
Jasper is nice and easy to talk to, but not the most helpful. Prefers a slow-paced day and is clocked out 5 minutes before the end of the day, every day. (Good for him.)

Palladium ore is in high demand right now, which is pretty fun for me. Palladium's one of my favorites. It's really shiny.
How do you lose track of an asteroid? ... That's a great question. Happens to me a lot, though.

• Southern accent with a slower, lower twang than a classic Southern Belle.

• Reclamation officer
• Deals with requests for retrieving specific salvage and lost cargo.
• They also tow broken down trucks and scan for missing drones.
Traits
• Moon Baby’s ma / Silver Titans wife.
• A little snarky but will usually be in good spirits.
• Passionate about work and has a positive reputation, kind of as the space equivalent of the favourite aunt.
• Hard working semi-retired trucker who helps with reclamations.
• Insightful and investigative.

Summary
Ramona is the mother of a main cast member called Moon Baby.
Despite handing the family business over to her daughter years ago she’s still working at Killkirk Reclamation Yard to prevent boredom.
Ramona knows the galaxy like the back of her hand. She's knowledgeable and really good at her job, but has a sarcastic type of vibe and was definitely the cool kid in school.
Equal parts book smart and street smart, and likes a good challenge when it comes to retrieving items. She also had contacts in every corner of the galaxy.
