A mix of action, comedy and drama, OT aims to capture the classic feel of a sci-fi movie, combined with a powerful story and a loveable cast.

Eric Nalen is a thug, often seen roaming the streets of ArcCorp Area 16 in the Staton System. He draws suspicion from Karn.

Randy is the best of the best. An ace through all his training, his combat-ready nature and dedication the UEE has diminished his social aptitude over the years, and he more often than not finds it hard to connect with, or even relate to his peers.
'Understood, sir. Consider it done.'
'I don't fully understand why we're here, but I was given an order and I intend to follow it.'
'I have a job, and I'm going to do it. You don't have to come with me, but I'm leaving. Now.'
United Earth Empire Navy Pilot
Sheryl is a bit like the moon. While acting as a guiding beacon for all who aspire to join the UEE, she finds herself among the stars. Well, at least her ego is. Sheryl finds her role as the UEE’s finest female pilot to be more of an activity to pass the time than a career.
'QUIET IN THE BACK. If you interrupt this epic rift one more time, I'll take you all with me into the nearest star.'
'Little girl, you want to become great pilot like me, you need to do one thing. Cut off that ugly ponytail. You look like earthling hooker.'
'I am like folkstory Gandalf. I always arrive on time, never early, never late. That time might not be time you ask for, but it is time I feel like.'
Omega team recruit
Alex Karn is renowned for his can-do attitude, and often his kiss-assing ways. Though he has a stout dedication to Omega team, he tends to go out of his way to prove his excellence over the other team members.
'Judging by the immediate trajectory of that electro-magnetic ordanance, along with its current speed velocity, I'd say our power is about to be cut in... oh, three seconds.'
'Yes sir. We can make the jump if we depart within the next two minutes. The Jumppoint stability should hold for another fifteen, but the chances of landing on target within that extended period drops below the 14% assurance threshold.'
'I can assure you, I am fluent enough in the Vanduul language to tell you that-- yes, he does think you're a walking asshat. Sir.'
Omega team commander
Rough around the edges, Danie Lown is as stern and loyal as the UEE gets. He leads with a bold, rock-hard voice, but truly cares about his men.
'Take your seats. Look sharp. I don't tolerate slouchers under my command.'
'Corporal I swear-- if you don't get your men in line, I will shove my boot so far up your ass that-- oh, we're still on comms? I see.'
'You don't seem to understand. We are the only thing standing between the Vanduul and total human extinction. This mission cannot fail.'
Ashley is a flirty bar patron who tries her luck with Salem.
'Hey there, soldier boy. You look like you could use a drink.'
'Why don't you come back to my place? I've always wondered what a UEE soldier looks like without their armor.'
'So what unit are you from? You look like you're... special forces, or something.'
Omega fireteam leader
Joseph, nicknamed Joker, spends more time finding the humour in battle than he does taking it seriously. Although he is a skilled combatant like all Omega team members, he lends himself as more of a moral boosting sidekick to the team.
'They just keep giving us sooooo many toys. Look at this! A quantam hypermechanic do-whatever? I've wanted one of those since I was a kid!'
'Why no, sir, I did not realize the L-22 Harbinator was a dangerous atomic weapon. Why no, sir, I will not apologize for riding it like an ancient cowboy.'
'Just keep smiling. Just keep smiling. Maybe the shine of our teeth will reflect off the Vanduul tractor beam and... oh, helmet, gotcha.'
Lorance Horr is a pirate captain, who leads a small piracy group on the shady side of the Nyx system.
'Well, well, well... look who walked right into the spiders web. You're a long way from home, soldiers.'
'First, we're gonna have us a little game. Then we'll ship you home in little pieces. This is our territory, you play by our rules.'
'Dammit! Fan out and find them. I want the leader's head.'
The Squadron 42 members are a variety of engineers, pilots and crew members stationed about the UEE's finest fleet, on board one of the two Idris ships.
'Welcome aboard the Idris, commander. It's an honour to have Omega team stationed here.'
'We like to keep the place... err, tidy. Don't mind the food fights in the mess hall, though. It's a morale thing.
'Word of advice-- don't eat the brown stuff in the cafeteria. Rumour has it? It's Vanduul... What? Vindaloo? Now that just sounds bloody ridiculous, Krieger.'
The Nyx Pirates a band of thieves. Multiple different characters with no substantial character. Lots of room for creative freedom.
'Come out, come out, wherever you are! We've got a suprise for you.'
'I can't find 'em boss. Whadda we do?'
'I got one! Haha! ...oh, that's... no, just a rock. Sorry boss.'
United Earth Empire Fleet Commander
Lance has more medals than he does patience. He’s curt, he’s brutal and he’s stubborn—but he gets the job done. The UEE hasn’t had a finer commander since the glory days before the Vanduul war.
'I want you to wipe the Vanduul from the sector. Make it happen, commander.'
'In the UEE Navy, we do not tolerate failure. You will follow my orders to the letter, and you will do the job right.'
'We are at war, men. There will be no home for you to return to if we are not victorious here today. We will win. Make it happen.'
