[Splatoon GMod] Splat Ops: Fresh War
Project Overview
Some time has passed since the retrieval of the Great Zapfish, but despite peace seeming clear as day, nothing is as it seems. After DJ Octavio was captured upon his defeat by Agent 3 and the rest of the Squidbeak Splatoon, Octarian General Chrome has taken it upon herself to initiate her own plan against the Inkling civilization… but not directly. Within months, strange activity begins to brew - unnoticed within the very walls that surround the Inkling populous. At least, for the general public. But behind the walls of the Turf Security Bureau, the threat is as clear as can be, with action being made under the noses of both those that wish for peace, and those that don't. Enter the Splat Operatives; led by Sgt. Copper, their fight against the Octarians lie both close to home and beyond the battlefield. No risk will be made without notice, no citizen will know their struggle, and no witnesses will know their names. This is a new kind of war - but threatening all the same.
This is Splat Ops: Fresh War; a BRAND NEW series that takes place in an alternate timeline to the events of The Tormented - one where all the supernatural occurrences the latter series is known for, never happened. You will see plenty of familiar faces, many you've come to know and love - but because of the massive butterfly effect caused by the absence of supernatural activity, they will all go down different pathways than you would expect them to.

Like my other projects before, this one will follow the same guidelines.
Requirements:
- Have a decent microphone
- Put yourself in the character's shoes. I'll help you along the way if you need it.
- Have a voice that best suits the characters. Not saying there's people with bad voices - not at all! But if there's a character that has a certain tone and you can't quite pull it off, it might not work out. However, if I think there's still potential, I'll keep you in mind for other projects in the future! So in the end, everyone wins!
- Lastly: Even though particular characters have an age preference (Young Adult, Middle Age, Senior, etc.), this is mostly a personal preference on my part. If you can pull off a voice that either matches the age preference or fits the character, then that works out!

Hey folks! I'm pleased to announce that Electricstar and thesonicfan106 have been cast for Vol'fram and Titania respectively! While there weren't that many new auditions for the other multi-VA roles, it shouldn't be much of a problem to find new VAs for them from hereon forth. With that in mind, the project is now officially closed. Thank you to everyone who had auditioned for the projects. While not everyone was able to be cast, I won't deny that there were still some very good auditions for various characters! Just know your work hasn't gone unnoticed, and I appreciate your help nonetheless! Until then, the future of Splat Ops: Fresh War awaits... -Director Brian

Deadline Extended by 2 Weeks!
The Splat Ops: Fresh War Casting Call will stay live for 2 more weeks! In that time, I'll be sharing it out as much as I can to ensure there's more opportunities to audition! With this extension, I'm pleased to announce there will be two new minor antagonists to audition for - Vol'fram and Colonel Titania! They will be the primary antagonists behind the first two episodes to the series! Also - as previously mentioned, there are other roles that require more than one person to play as, and most (if not all) mostly require female VAs. The list includes: TSB Agents and Operatives Octarians Rogue Zone Inklings Best of luck everyone! -
Deadline has been extended to December 7th!
Hi folks! If you haven't heard from the latest Q&A part I uploaded to my channel - I'm going to be extending the deadline for the project by another month. I know this is coming rather last minute - considering today was the initial deadline for it, but as I mentioned in the Q&A, there were a few auditions that I felt didn't meet the profile of their respective characters. This isn't to say any of them were bad, not at all! If anything, it serves as a way for those to improve off their auditions to try again! Just don't go overkill and posting like 3 more takes of the same character - one (more) at a time folks. With that said, best of luck once again to everyone auditioning, and I'll keep my eyes and ears out to see how everyone's doing! Sincerely, Director Brian -
Updated Description for Project and Jerry
Hey folks! Hope you're all doing well! I've taken the time to look at some of the auditions for the project - and I like what I see so far! However - there are particular things I've noticed that I've taken the time to rectify. For one - I've updated the project description to point out the requirement of having a decent microphone, putting yourself in the characters' shoes, and having a voice that best suits the characters. Additionally, I've updated Jerry's description to include a link which shows clips of Jason Hudson (Black Ops 1) to use as a reference for the voice - as I've noticed most of the auditions for him didn't have the accent I had hoped for the character. To those that tried auditioning for him before - you're free to do another take with the reference in mind. Thanks folks - and once again, best of luck!
Somewhat deep tone, Mid-Atlantic Accent, during the very rare "joking" moments he has - he has a soft cocky tone.
Check these voice clips from Jason Hudson as an example (Ignore the last clip - as it doesn't utilize Hudson's original voice and accent): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fPPKQ9b3D_M
[Informs Copper that they'll look into what she and the rest of her team were able to find] Hate to start the party without ya. Good work Megalodon, find what you can and return for debriefing.
[Explains more about the Rogue Zone to Copper and her team] Pretty heavy stuff. Considering the Rogue Zone is left without a lotta laws, everyone can run around rampant as much as they please. Your contact wasn't kidding when he said it was dangerous.
[Continued from second line] Well, as long as you're not trying to ram through their walls or go guns-a-blazing, you should have no trouble.
Has lots of self-confidence, witty, and can be rather loud under appropriate situations.
On one hand, he's basically the walking definition of a boomer (not very tech savvy, doesn't quite trust the government, and isn't very up to speed on Inkopolis' culture), but on the other hand, he tends to be considerate about those he works with and cares for. Considering his history, he does take things rather seriously, but his self-confidence often gets in the way of that so he also has a chipper attitude most of the time.
[Surprised - greeted by Copper after being woken up by her] GAH!! [Realization] O-oh… Agent X- (cuts himself off before he can finish saying the letter X) -I mean, Copper! Good to see ya again, ol’ chum.
[Jumping into conclusions after Copper asks him for help - assuming she's moved on to a regular life] What, like a reference for a job? Cuz’ I make a killer recommendation!
[Suspicious of who Copper is working with after she states the mission she's on is classified] Wait… You ain’t working for the government, are ya?
Has a professional approach to his tone.
If the worst comes to pass, she's our only lead.
You'll get your chance. One way or another.
We're accepting more than one person to take this role, as it's a common recurring character with both male and female slots!
They take their job very seriously, but feel free to provide your own take on the character if you'd like!
(UPDATE: As of 12/7/20, we only REALLY need more female VAs for this role, since we already have two male VAs)
[Relief after spotting another Agent] Boy are you a sight for sore eyes.
[Briefing another Agent of an ongoing predicament] Many of them have been able to stand their ground - for the most part, but others have gone dark.
A dominating tone, but nothing too sinister - no true evil has an obvious indicator, and the Octarians merely see things as good in their eyes.
[Discussing with other Octarian Soldeirs] Do we have any word on the whereabouts of our operatives at the Docks?
[Irritated with the soldiers' persistence to attack, rather than following the plan] ENOUGH!!!! Understand that I am just as impatient about this as you all are.
[Nervousness after slipping an insulting comment to the General without realizing she was listening] U-U-Uh My apologies, General! I didn't realize the microphone was working again... *nervous laughter, then a sigh*
Has his own personal agenda with the Inklings - especially Jerry.
Has a menacing vibe, mostly for the sake of intimidation of his foes. I envisioned his tone to be slightly deep - but not too deep to make it sound silly. He's a rather minor character, but I'm looking to add more moments with this one to the script.
[Menacing] Good to see you again.
I should have killed you when I knew something was wrong...
A minor antagonist for the first and second episodes to the series.
Slightly deep voice, has strong confidence in her allegiance.
[Slightly Amused] Colonel? *chuckles* I haven't been called that in ages... have we met?
You think your threats phase me? You'll have to do much worse if you want me to talk.
[Soft Joy] There's really no point bothering... the next phase is already being set into motion.
A minor antagonist for the first and second episodes to the series.
Despite appearing strong-willed, he grows extremely anxious whenever being threatened.
Risks are often needed to stay a mile ahead of the enemy.
[Angrily Dumbfounded] Impossible - we are loyal to our cause!
[Anxious] I swear, I don't know where they go! Only Titania would know!
We're accepting more than one person to take this role, as it's a common recurring character with both male and female slots!
Has a more serious tone during appropriate scenarios - but feel free to provide your own spin on the character!
(UPDATE: As of 12/7/20, we only REALLY need at least one more male and one more female VA for this role)
[Contacting other Octolings via radio after catching an intruder] Inform the sergeant we've got a visitor, I think she'd appreciate a talk with her upon arrival.
[Nervousness after the General lets them speak their opinion regarding a "Traitor"] U-Uh... I-I was saying, why not finish the traitor and her children now? Don't they know too much?
[Utilizing a PA system to alert other Octarians about a breach of their compound] All soldiers in the compound, we've been breached by the Inklings! Provide support or get out of there to inform the General!
We're accepting more than one person to take this role, as it's a common recurring character with both male and female slots!
Inklings from the Rogue Zone often have a narcissistic personality, are naturally rude, and sometimes easily angered.
(UPDATE: As of 12/7/20, we only REALLY need more female VAs for this role, since we already have two male VAs)
[Rudely interrupting the person talking to them] Hey, that's enough questions. And besides - I said we "can" answer you're questions. I never said we "wanted" to.
[Supercilious tone, after being bribed with money to provide answers] Can't say I've heard anything, Stranger. But I won't deny the possibility. We make deals all the time. Just business as usual.
[Being precautious with outsiders trying to enter the Rogue Zone] If you cannot give us a good enough reason for your presence, I advise you to turn the other way.
