Spider-Man & The Human Torch CASTING CALL
Project Overview
(CASTING CALL – Spider-Man & The Human Torch (Independent Fan Series)
We are casting for Spider-Man & The Human Torch, an independent fan-made series following the adventures of Marvel’s iconic web-slinger and the Fantastic Four’s hot-headed hero. This project is a passion-driven production made by fans, for fans, with an emphasis on storytelling, character dynamics, and a mix of action and heart.
At its core, the show is about relationships.
Peter Parker balancing his responsibilities as Spider-Man while navigating friendships, romance, and family, and Johnny Storm facing what it means to grow beyond his reckless “hothead” persona. Along the way, they encounter iconic allies and enemies from across Marvel’s world, including Gwen Stacy, the Fantastic Four, She-Hulk, and classic Spider-Man villains.
This is a fan-made, non-profit project, produced by a small creative team driven by passion for these characters. The goal is to tell authentic, engaging stories in an episodic format that captures the fun of Saturday morning cartoons while weaving in deeper character arcs and themes.
We are seeking talented voice actors who can bring these characters to life with energy, humor, and emotional range. Chemistry between cast members will be essential, as many roles rely on quick banter, heartfelt exchanges, and dynamic group interactions.
As always, thank you so much for your time. We cannot wait to hear your auditions and potentially work with you very soon!

(Supporting, Female, 20s–30s)
The compassionate heart of the Fantastic Four. Sue’s voice should balance warmth, maturity, and confidence — someone who can sound like both a nurturing sister and a strong leader. Needs to carry authority without being harsh, and tenderness without being passive.
(Warm, sisterly) “Johnny, you’re reckless, but you’re still my brother. And whether you like it or not, I’ll always protect you.”
(Calm but firm leadership) “Everyone, stay behind my shield. If they want to break through, they’ll have to go through me first.”
(Determined, heroic) “I won’t let fear decide who I am. Not today, not ever.”
(Primary Antagonist, Male, 30s–40s)
A flamboyantly theatrical, but smooth and calculating businessman who hides a sinister alter ego. As Kingsley, his voice should be charming, measured, and charismatic, with a bit of a flair. As Hobgoblin, it should shift into something theatrically menacing and unhinged. Two sides of the same coin. Range is important here, since the dual identity is key to the performance.
(Note: We'd prefer an African-American man for the role.)
(Lecturing, calculating) “Success isn’t about luck, it’s about leverage. And I have more than enough of that to get what I want. People often underestimate me because they think that I am an easy target. I have an eye for theatrics, for the extravagant. They don't realize that I can use that against them."
(Menacing. As Hobgoblin) “Spider-Man, you’ve played this game for too long. Tonight, it ends… and I win.”
(Unhinged, dramatic laughter) “HAH! Yes, run! Run faster! It makes the chase so much more fun!”
(Minor supporting, Female, 20s–30s)
Jennifer Walters is witty, sharp, and approachable as a lawyer, but when she transforms into She-Hulk, her voice becomes more commanding and powerful while still retaining charm and humor. Looking for an actor who can bring playful confidence in both forms. Intelligent, fun, and larger-than-life without losing relatability. Think of like your favorite cool aunt or something.
(Witty lawyer) “Objection, Your Honor. Mostly because I’m bored… but also because the prosecution’s full of it.”
(Confident, stoic) “You don’t scare me. I’ve cross-examined scarier faces than yours in court.”
(Fiery, snarky) “You just made me angry. And you’re about to regret every single second of it.”
(Minor supporting, Female, 50s–70s)
Warm, caring, and maternal, Aunt May should sound like the emotional heart of Peter’s world. Her voice should convey gentleness and kindness, but also strength and wisdom when needed. Looking for someone who can balance nurturing warmth with emotional depth.
(Warm, gentle)
“Peter, you’ve been working so hard. Please, take care of yourself.”
2. (Quiet strength)
“I may be old, but I know courage when I see it. You have it, Peter. Don’t ever doubt that.”
3. (Firm but loving)
“Don’t think for a second you can lie to me, young man. I know when something’
s wrong.”
(Warm, gentle) “Peter, you’ve been working so hard. Please, take care of yourself.”
(Quiet strength) “I may be old, but I know courage when I see it. You have it, Peter. Don’t ever doubt that.”
(Firm but loving) “Don’t think for a second you can lie to me, young man. I know when something's wrong.”
(Supporting, Male, 18–19)
The brash, confident high-school jock who often bullies Peter. Flash’s voice should have a cocky, teasing quality, full of energy and bravado. Underneath, though, there should be glimpses of insecurity and potential for growth. A voice actor with good comedic timing will thrive in this role.
(Cocky, mocking) “Watch out, Parker! Don’t trip over your shoelaces again. Wouldn't want you to look like even more of a dork than you already are."
(Brash, showing off) “Did you see that play? That’s what a real athlete looks like. Not some scrawny bookworm.”
(Softer, hinting at growth) “Yeah, well.. maybe you’re not as lame as I thought. Don’t let it go to your head, though.”
(Minor supporting, Male, 40s–60s)
A respected police captain and Gwen’s father. His voice should be authoritative, calm, and wise. A man with moral integrity and quiet strength. Needs to sound both like a firm law enforcer and a caring, protective father.
(Authoritative, commanding) “This is an active crime scene. Civilians clear the area! That’s an order!”
(Gentle, fatherly – to Gwen) “Sweetheart, I’ve seen enough of this city’s dangers to last a lifetime. Just promise me you’ll stay safe. That’s all I ask.”
(Thoughtful, with tension) “Justice isn’t about making the easy call — it’s about making the right one, no matter the cost.”
(Minor recurring, Male, 20s–30s)
A brash, ambitious journalist with a chip on his shoulder. Eddie’s voice should carry frustration, jealousy, and intensity. He's someone who's constantly trying to prove himself. Needs a strong dramatic presence, but also room to grow darker as his arc progresses. Chemistry with Peter’s actor will be important to highlight their rivalry.
(Smug confidence) “Front page, Parker. That’s where my name belongs. Not buried under your half-baked snapshots.”
(Frustrated) “You think you’re better than me?! You’ve been in my way since day one, and I’m sick of it!”
(Resentment – foreshadowing Venom) “They want a monster.. then I'm more than happy to give them one.”
(Recurring antagonist, Male, 20s–40s)
The smallest of the Enforcers but the quickest with his fists. Fancy Dan is a martial arts master with a cocky, fast-talking personality. Looking for a voice that carries sharp wit, quick delivery, and confidence. Someone who sounds like they always think they’re the smartest and toughest guy in the room.
(Fast, cocky) “Ha! You call that a punch? I’ve dodged better hits in my sleep.”
(Taunting Spider-Man) “Come on, wall-crawler, keep up! What’s the matter, too slow for little old me?”
(To The Enforcers) “Why do I always gotta be the brains of this operation?”
(Recurring antagonist, Male, 20s–40s)
The cowboy-themed member of the Enforcers, Montana brings a cool, drawling swagger to the group. He fights with a signature lasso and keeps his composure even in chaos. The voice should have a southern/cowboy edge with a smooth, confident tone. He's a street thug who fancies himself a gentleman outlaw.
(Cool, drawling) “Settle down, boys. Spider-Man’s not going anywhere… my rope always gets its man.”
(Confident) “You can web all you want, partner. Ain’t no web stronger than my lasso."
(Commanding) “Ox, quit standin’ around and smash somethin’, will ya?”
(Recurring antagonist, Male, 20s–40s)
The muscle of the trio, Ox is big, slow-witted, and always ready to smash something. He’s intimidating, but there’s a hint of humor in how blunt and simple-minded he is. Looking for a voice that’s deep, gravelly, and booming, able to balance menace with occasional comedic timing.
(Simple-minded menace) “Ox don’t need tricks. Ox just smash!”
(Mocking laughter) “Spider-Man’s so tiny! Ox could snap him like a toothpick!”
(Confused) “Wait… we was supposed to grab the money bag, right? Not the mailbox?”
